[IX]

Taehyung softly smiled to himself as he walked through the hallways of the castle. Today he arrived early in the morning to make sure he was on time, he also brought a surprise with him. He hoped that would make everyone forgive him, he didn't expect everyone to but he hoped he would be forgiven.

"Morning Taehyung." Namjoon greeted once he saw the male walking the hallway to the kitchen. He felt bad for the younger knowing nobody wanted to talk to him. Taehyung smiled and waved back to the butler. "Morning Namjoon!"

The two past each other, the older making his way to Jungkook's room and Taehyung making his way to the kitchen.

Once the black haired male was near the entrance, he could sense that Jin, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jimin were all there only making him more nervous knowing he was the last to enter. It reminded him of when he went to school, he didn't have many friends there either.

Inhaling a breath of air Taehyung slowly entered the room, all eyes on him once he was noticed. "Hi Taehyung." Jimin greeted, and was the only one who greeted the younger. The Sous Chef smiled in return as he grabbed something from his bag.

"U-um.."

Everyone's attention turned to the black haired male.

"S-so I know everyone is disappointed in me.. and I hoped I could make it up to you so I made you all- uh." Everyone pondered in their positions to see what Taehyung made.

"H-homemade cookies.."

The latter slowly took out the bag he was holding with cookies inside of it. "I would've made something better but this was all I could afford." The male told with a hint of guilt in his voice.

Jimin was the first to smile and go up to the black haired male. "I wasn't mad Tae, you're super sweet for making us something."

The rest of the three guys then smiled and made their way up to the Sous Chef who now had a warm feeling in his heart hoping that they all excepted his gift and apology.

"Yeah we weren't mad Taehyung." Jin started. "I was just a little disappointed, we all were to be honest. But I accept your apology, you didn't even have to make us anything."

"Yeah we do too, we weren't mad either." Hoseok told with a smile, taking a cookie that the latter was holding. The rest all followed Hoseok's action in taking a cookie causing Taehyung to smile, everyone seemed to like what he made.

"Is that one for yourself?" Yoongi questioned once he noticed there was one cookie left in the bag.

"No, it's for Jungkook."

The workers all nodded besides Jimin who rolled his eyes at the Prince's name, Jin clapping once he finished. "It's time to start making breakfast."

-

"So Tae, what do you do on your break?" Jimin questioned once breakfast had been served and cleaned up, the workers now all able to go on their break. "Most of the time I just stay in here, I used to go to the gym-"

"The gym? But Jungkook doesn't let anyone go in the gym."

"He used to let me, but he blocked it off again." Taehyung frowned once he remembered playing basketball in the gym with the Prince and beating up the punching bag. He missed doing that even if it only was for a couple days.

An idea popped into Jimins mind which scared the black haired a bit because a devilish smirk rose across his face once he got the idea.

"Follow me."

Taehyung was confused at first but none the less followed Jimin like he was told to do, curious on where he wanted him to go. The route they were taking seemed familiar and as they kept walking the Sous Chef realized they were walking to the gym.

"Do you have something we can pick a lock with?" The older of the two questioned once they were standing in front of the gym doors. Taehyung's eyes widened in sudden fear, thinking of all the worst possibilities.

"We're not breaking into the gym! What if Jungkook sees!"

"Aren't you mad at him though?"

The younger crossed his arms as he tried to make a decision. He wanted to be friends with the Prince but he also was mad at him because he was slapped, he also really missed being in the gym. So he thought as long as they weren't caught he'd be alright.

"I have a paper clip." Taehyung informed, reaching into his bag and pulling out a paperclip that was on the bottom of the bag. Jimin devilishly smiled as he excitedly took the paper clip and began picking at the lock.

The black haired male was still uncertain about the situation, but he really did want to go in the gym again and he didn't want to ruin his relationship with his first friend.

"And.. boom." Jimin sounded once he got the door open, slowly opening the doors and walking inside followed by Taehyung.

The Sous Chef's gaze immediately went to one of the basketballs that were on the ground, a smile forming onto his face in excitement.

"Jimin?" Taehyung questioned the said male who was looking around the room in amazement. He hasn't been in the gym ever since Jungkook closed it off five years ago. Jimin turned his attention over to the latter.

"Do you know how to play basketball?"

"I sure do, want to play?"

The younger excitedly nodded, picking up the basketball and heading over to the basket. Jimin raised his eyebrow because it seemed like Taehyung had no clue how to play.

"Do you know how to play?"

The latter awkwardly shook his head no. He had no clue how to play a game, he just thought shooting baskets from the free throw line was considered playing. Jimin chuckled to himself because of the youngers cute action.

"Here I can help you shoot a basket." Jimin dropped his own ball and walked over to Taehyung who had his knees bent and looked to be trying to make a shot. The older stood behind the black haired male and wrapped his arms around his waist, his hands making their way to the ball that Taehyung was holding.

The younger felt quite uncomfortable when Jimin got so close to him, but he didn't really mind since he thought it was just to help him make a basket. Before Jimin could help Taehyung throw the ball up in the air footsteps were heard behind them causing the two to separate from each other in panic.

"What the fuck are you two doing."

Jungkook was furious once he noticed that someone had snuck into his gym, and he was even more mad once he realized it was Taehyung and Jimin who weren't even a centimeter away from each other.

The black haired male quickly dropped the basketball and gulped in fear. He knew something like this would happen but he was hoping it wouldn't.

"You never listen do you." The Prince stated, grabbing Taehyung's bag that was on the ground and his wrist before dragging him outside of the gym and towards his room. He didn't even spare Jimin a glare, he was more mad at Jimin but his main focus was Taehyung.

"I-it hurts.." The older of the two mumbled once Jungkook tightened his grip on his wrist, being ignored once again.

The Prince flung open the doors to his room and threw Taehyung onto his bed soon after, placing his bag beside him and climbing on top of the black haired male who was panicking. Jungkook climbed on top of the older and leaned in towards his face.

"What were you and Jimin doing in the gym?" The younger interrogated, receiving no answer from the Sous Chef who was holding his breath.

"Answer me."

"N-nothing.. we were just playing basketball.."

"Then why was he hugging you?"

Jungkook again didn't get an answer which only angered him more, grabbing Taehyung's wrists even more causing the latter to wince in pain. "Do I need to teach you a lesson?"

Taehyung quickly shook his head no, tears were brimming in his eyes because the Prince didn't loosen his pain-filled grip yet. Jungkook ignored the older as he began unbuttoning his shirt only causing the latter to panic even more.

"N-no no no stop-"

The Prince kept unbuttoning his shirt until his full stomach was on display, eyeing his torso before turning his gaze to the black haired males lips.

It's not that Jungkook was having any romantic feelings at the moment, he was just so angry and furious that everything kept going downhill for him especially when Taehyung came into his life. He kept getting reminded of Lucas when he saw the older in that position which is why Jungkook leaned in towards Taehyung's lips.

The latter's eyes widened before squinting them and turning his head away so Jungkook wouldn't be able to kiss him. "No no.. don't please."

"I do what I want."

The tears that were being held in the elders eyes began to fall down his face. He knew his parents were watching him from above and he knew he was disappointing them too being in this position.

"Why are you crying." The Prince bluntly questioned, no emotion placed on his face whatsoever. Taehyung kept his head to the side and made sure not to turn it.

"I don't want you to be m-my first k-kiss.."

Jungkook immediately stopped in his tracks. He didn't even realize what he was about to do until now, he didn't even realize it was Taehyung beneath him since he was thinking about someone else.

The Prince happily smiled into the kiss him and Lucas were sharing. The two snuck outside the castle late at night to be alone with each other, Lucas lived in the town which is where the two were now.

Lucas was the first to pull away. The difference between the two was that once they pulled away Jungkook was smiling like an idiot and Lucas was emotionless.

"That was my first kiss." The Prince excitedly told the older who hummed in response. "Really?" Jungkook nodded in return, recalling the special moment in his mind. He was so excited to tell Namjoon, Jimin, and Yoongi about his moment.

"It wasn't mine."

The big smile on the latters face dissappeared, the warm feeling in his heart going away quickly as well. "Oh.. well did you enjoy it?"

"I've had better." The older responded, taking his phone out of his pocket and opening up random apps only causing the younger to pout even more. He was so excited once Lucas leaned in to kiss him, and he thought he enjoyed it too but apparently not.

"I'm going to head back to the Castle.." Jungkook blankly stated, trying not to show that he was about to cry as he stood up from the bench the two were sitting on. In that moment the feeling he had completely went away, now all he felt was emptiness. Like no one cared for him.

His Grandparents never returned from their trip to see him again, and Lucas didn't seem to care about him either. These were both things Jungkook figured out in this moment, this was when the Prince lost all feeling for anything.

- present -

Jungkook frowned to himself, slowly getting off the younger causing the latter to turn his gaze back to the front. The Prince was obviously super sad about something but Taehyung thought it was better to not ask about it since that only lead to trouble in the past.

"What's that?" The Prince quetioned, pointing to the plastic bag that was hanging out of the elders backpack. Taehyung had forgotten that he made cookies for Jungkook as well until now. Gulping, the black haired slowly reached for the bag.

"F-for you.." Taehyung hesitantly handed Jungkook the bag, receiving no reaction whatsoever from the Prince. The latter's tears were gone by now and he was still a little panicked from what just happened.

"Why?"

"To make up for w-what I did to you.. I thought we could be uh.. friends?"

Jungkook didn't respond once again as he stared down at the plastic bag with the cookie in it in awe. The last person to make him cookies was his grandma and grandpa- there he went thinking about them again.

"You want to be friends with me?" The Prince lowly chuckled, not believing someone would want to be friends with someone like him. No one cared for him anyways.

"Not if you don't want to.. I just thought I'd make you something as an apology.."

Jungkook stared at the treat one last time, looking up at Taehyung quickly after. "Go away."

The black haired male did as the Prince told, grabbing his bag that now had no cookies in it and making his way out the door. He was used to being neglected by Jungkook now, he didn't expect him to forgive him anyways.

Jungkook watched the older leave his room. Once the latter was surely gone, the Prince slowly took the cookie out of the plastic bag. Not even thinking, the male took a bite of the treat. He still wasn't going to admit it but he felt something again once he took a bite of the cookie Taehyung had made him, it almost felt as if someone kind of cared for him. But one thing was for sure, Jungkook hadn't felt any feeling similar to this ever since five years ago.

And he absolutely hated it.

goodnight <3
