*ੈ✩‧₊˚ Do you know that even magic has a sound? The whisper of a gentle breeze through the leaves of a tree. The rustling of pages in a book comes to life with each turn. The sweet melodies of birds singing in the morning or the rhythmic crashing of waves against the shore—each sound adds to the piece of magic that exists in our world.
Now let's see the story of a girl named Da-in who hears those magical sounds that no one else can hear.
Da-in is just an ordinary girl, but her ability to hear this magical sound sets her apart from everyone else. She hears the sound of whispering trees, singing stars, and a voice that she would hear but not be able to hear through her eyes. How could she? When she was blind, she was still able to perceive the beauty of the world through her extraordinary sense of hearing.
Everything is fine to her, but that voice of a man that she always hears is someone's that she cannot identify or comprehend whenever she goes to a garden. The voice itself can tell a lot about whether that person isn't just a random stranger passing by; it's someone who isn't just a human but something... something like eternal.
It's deep, like the ocean, and like a melody that resonates in her very soul. It's the only sound that made her feel bad for not having eyes to see. Every day, Da-in goes to that garden, spending her whole time there, speaking with that magical voice and watering the plants as the sound or voice guides her through the rows.
"Who are you?" Da-in softly mumbled to herself as she was sitting under a big oka tree in the middle of the garden. The wind rustled the leaves above her, as if in response to her question. She closed her eyelids, allowing the sounds of nature to envelop her, feeling a sense of connection with the unseen presence that guided her through the garden.
She doesn't have parents to guide her, but she was grateful for the sounds of those whispering trees, singing starts, and gentle breezes that danced through her ears every time she heard them, and after them, this voice that brought comfort and joy to her lonely world.
She heard a soft chuckle, and it was the same voice that she always loves to hear. "I? I am someone you want to see every time you hear my voice," the voice said. Da-in has printed an image of the magical voice in her mind, and she fell in love with the person.
Every time the voice spoke, she couldn't feel the presence of the person, but this time, she could feel the presence of the voice in the form of a person, which made her heart skip a beat like never before.
She could feel a tall figure as she imagined it standing right behind her. "So, are you happy that I finally showed up as a person?" he asked, with a grin on his handsome face that she could feel through her imagination.
A part of her is happy as she finally feels the presence of the magical voice in person. The other part of her, however, couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness. She is not able to see him with her own eyes. Though she had imagined his appearance countless times, the reality of not being able to see him was a bittersweet realisation.
"Don't worry, I do no harm," he whispered, his voice filled with reassurance. "I am here to guide and protect you." His words resonated deep within her, soothing her fears and igniting a sense of trust she had never experienced before.
A soft chuckle left her cherry lips upon hearing his words. "Why are you laughing?" he asked, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "I have never met someone like you," she replied. "I was afraid when I heard your voice for the first time when I visited this garden by mistake. You sounded so mysterious and powerful, like a guardian from another world. But now, hearing your gentle reassurance, I feel safe and strangely drawn to you."
"Oh! I'm sorry if I scared you at first," he responded, a warm smile spreading across his face. "I never meant to cause any fear. I'm just a caretaker of this garden. And normal humans can't actually come here. It seems you have a special connection that allows you to enter. I'm glad you feel safe now, and I hope our encounter brings you joy and wonder." He said this as he reached out his hand to gently touch the flowers surrounding them.
"You have told me this for the first time, Mr. Gaurdian of the Garden," she said, making the man chuckle softly. "I know; I tend to repeat myself," he admitted sheepishly. "Thank you for guiding me in this garden," she replied with a smile.
"Though I have no eyes to see, you have guided me with your words, and I can feel your presence and the beauty of this place. That made me print an image of the garden and you in my mind." Da-in continued to express her gratitude. "Then I want to see this world that you imagined in your mind," the man responded, touched by her words.
Da-in eyebrows raised in surprise. "How can I see? I have no eyes." "But I can describe it to you in vivid detail," the man said. "I will show the whole garden the sound of magic, which you always love and hear in your heart. I will paint the colours of the flowers with my words, and the fragrance of the blossoms will fill your senses. Close your eyes, Da-in, and let me take you on a journey through this magical garden."
He closed her eyes with his long fingers, and Da-in's other senses heightened as she listened to the man's enchanting descriptions. She could almost feel the soft petals of the flowers brushing against her skin and hear the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze. The man's words showed the vivid imagery of a garden bursting with life and beauty.
The voice of his narration carried a soothing melody, as if each word was carefully chosen to create a symphony of nature. Da-in could almost taste the sweetness of the nectar and feel the warmth of the sun on her face, as if she were truly immersed in this magical garden.
And finally, when he removed his hand from Da-in's eyes, she opened them to find herself standing in the midst of a breathtaking paradise. The vibrant colours and fragrant scents overwhelmed her senses, making her feel as though she had stepped into a dream.
"I can see them now," Da-in whispered in awe, her voice barely audible amidst the beauty that surrounded her. The flowers danced in the gentle breeze, their petals shimmering like precious gems under the golden sunlight.
"Finally welcome to the sound of magic, the garden of magical sounds, Da-in-ah." The man spoke from behind. Da-in's heart started to jump into her chest, making her feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. She turned around to see him, finally, after two years of her journey in this magical garden, without her eyes seeing his face. She finally laid eyes on the man who had guided her through this magical place.
He stood tall and regal, with a warm smile that reached his eyes. "Finally, I get to meet the person with that magical voice," Da-in thought to herself. He has large almond eyes with deep brown eyes that are shining in the rays of sunlight, making them look even more mesmerising. His high-bridled nose made his face look symphonic and elegant. His full, natural pink lips added to the charm of his face, forming a perfect balance with his chiselled jawline. His jet-black hair cascaded down his shoulders, framing his chiselled features with white feather earrings, making him look ethereal.
Da-in could not help but stare at the eternally magical being in front of her. "Am I looking the same as you imagined me in your heart, Princess?" He asked, his voice velvety and captivating. Da-in's heart skipped a beat upon hearing Princess's voice. It was as if she was under a spell, completely captivated by his every word. She could feel her cheeks flush as she finally found her voice and replied, "You are even more magical than I could have ever imagined."
"How am I able to see all these, Mr.Gardian?" she asked, her curiosity piqued. "Who are you really?" she added, her eyes filled with wonder. The Guardian smiled gently, his eyes twinkling with ancient wisdom. "I am Kim Taehyung, the guardian of this garden and healer." The man finally revealed his name.
