"Hello, Humans." The dark-skinned Natchuck rumbled, his voice was raspy as if he wasn't used to speaking, and the accent almost sounded like Cain's, a Slavic touch that purred out of his mouth.

"We want nothing more than peace from you, a trade has been proposed by your commanders, one Navigator and one Fighter for eternal peace." Abel and Cain both stiffened up, from a bit away he could hear Phobos's enraged voice call out, almost like acid in the peaceful air.

"What?! You just expect us to-" Phobos was cut off by Keeler sending him a sharp glare from their own ship, a few feet away from Cain and Abel, his pale eyes unnaturally sharp than their usual nurturing.

"That demand.." Keeler started, turning to the Natchucks who simply blinked, not at all effected by the opposing Navigator's words, like cats almost..

"You may have your part of the barter, so please, choose one to suit your tastes." Keeler said, stepping back and letting the leader of the Natchuck and his followers walk forward, lips pursed and snake-like eyes combing the lines, once again laying on Abel, pale eyes lighting up in delight at his chance as a second one murmured to their leader, drifting off to another ship to choose a Fighter.

"We will have, that one." He hissed, pointing at Abel. In an instant, Cain had shoved him behind his own body, snarling at the Natchuck like a rabid animal.

"Like hell you will!" He spat, making the leader flinch for a moment, his pupils slitting and turning angered as he crept forward, his voice hissing out like steam.

"You will give us the Navigator, or we will set our army on yours." He threatened, baring unnaturally sharp to him.

"Cain! Let him go." Keeler ordered, although it was obvious that he did not want his best Navigator to leave.

"He's my Navigator. We can't just let they have him!" Cain spat back, glaring at the Natchuck who pulled its full dark lips back in a snarl.

"If you will not give him to us, we shall take him with force!" They hissed, their eyes going into slits at they prepared to attack.

"Wait!" Abel cried, coming out from behind Cain and holding his arms out. "You can take me, just please, don't hurt these people." He begged.

The leader paused, blinking slowly before they folded their arms again. "Very well, Navigator. Say your goodbyes and then follow us." He commanded, turning and walking with the others.

Abel turned to Cain who looked away, his eyes pained. "I-I'm sorry." Abel whispered, "we can't stand to have another enemy alongside the-" Cain cut him off with his hand, his eyes dark.

"Just. Go." He growled, turning and storming back to his ship, missing the look of pain that was on Abel's face as he nodded a little to himself.

The Navigator straightened up, nodding to his comrades before following the Natchuck, jogging to catch up with them while blinking furiously to keep tears in.

No one could see him cry. He was a gift of war, he was saving his planet and his friends-sadly Phobus was involved in this- from a war.

He would do this, and he would do it with pride.
