Quiet.

That what it was like in Cain and Abel's room, but still, Abel laid awake staring at the celling, conflicting feelings in his chest.

A new possible enemy had arose, the Natchuck, an unknown race of whatever they were, but those who had come in contact with them, said two things.

They said that Angels had graced them with luck of the stars, the Navigators got this positive feedback while the Fighters, three going out and one returning not in one piece.

Not one Navigator had been touched.

"They're Demons! With weapons and ships that are far beyond our tech!" Since then, Navigators and Fighters had been separated, scrambled, and placed into different wings for safety for everyone.

This was not Abel's room, nor was it Cain's, it was once someone's room, but had long since been renovated and shoved with the duo, only sleeping arrangements were matched, everything else was separate.

"Abel? You still awake?" Abel blinked, turning his head to look over at Cain who stared right back, his dark eyes filled with worry. He reached his arm over, brushing a few stray hairs out of Abel's face.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just thinking." Abel said quietly, letting Cain drag him over into his arms into a hug, his back against Cain's chest as they lay, both thinking, both worried about the new enemy, and what could happen if they encountered them.

Even if Cain wouldn't show it, Abel knew he was concerned.

"We'll be fine. Those Natchuck bastards can't be that bad, can they?" Abel shrugged at Cain's attempt to make him feel better and sighed, biting slightly at the scar on his lip.

"It's just... They seem to only like Navigators, the majority of their victims are Fighters, the last group nearly came back half dead!" Abel gripped a fist into the sheets, clenching his eyes closed as he tried to think clearly, his mind felt fuzzy and tired from all the days of sleepless nights and busy mornings.

Cain nodded against Abel's back, kissing his nape softly.
"Don't worry about that stuff. We have a busy day tomorrow, we'll be spilt, remember?" Abel sighed and nodded, the other half of the plan, although simple, was drastic to their relationship.

Both Abel and Cain would be separated, paired with another roommate, but still fight and navigate together, something that had been issued in the morning, and something that Abel was not looking forward to.

"Don't remind me! I'll miss you." Abel said, his voice dropping to a whisper before he turned, facing a strangely soft eyed Cain who nodded, pressing a kiss to Abel's lips.

"Just don't fall for anyone else, got it? I marked you, therefore, you're mine." He said, reaching up and touching the scar that he had left on Abel's lip the first day they met, smiling softly, although it looked more like a smirk.

Abel rolled his eyes and gently kissed Cain's knuckles before closing his eyes, letting Cain pet his hair down, his touch soft and sweet, but still held him down firmly in his arms, as to not let him go.

Cain smiled softly and kissed the top of his head, letting himself drift off, but not before he spoke one more time to his lover.

"Sleep well. I love you."
