Frisk's POV.

The aroma of butterscotch filled the air as light suddenly filled my eyes. I staggered weakly in Miss Toriel's home. I felt better with Chara next to me. Slowly I was able to stand on my own. The pain slowly went away but when Chara put me on the couch and started to walk towards the kitchen. The pain grew as she got farther away.

"Frisk are you ok? Please tell me you haven't fallen ill," Toriel asked with concern in her eyes.

"Argh mom call Dr. Alphys please," I begged.

"Of course my child," she replied hastefully. 

"Frisk, how are you feeling?" Chara asked. She sat on the couch and wrapped her arm around me.

"It feels better when you are closer to me. It burns when you go far away from me," I replied.

"Weird, I have been feeling the same way. Hopefully doctor Alphys finds a way to heal this pain," she replied.

"I like it when you are close to me. It makes me feel safe," I claimed. Chara blushed at this comment and she smiled.

"Gee Frisk your smooth," she replied causing me to blush as well. Doctor Alphys walked in with Undyne not to far behind.

"Hey, I heard that you were not doing to well and oh my god! Princess Chara how are you still alive?" Alphys asked in surprise. 

"That is why we called you over Dr. Alphys. Frisk split her soul and gave me half which brought me back to life. She is in immense pain after that and we both feel a burning pain after we separate for more than 20 feet for too long," Chara replied.

"Well, when I studied the human books that fell into the underground I learned that they would commonly split souls with ones they love. The soul would split into two smaller souls and it would be kinda like a soulmate type of thing. The catch is that if the two are split up for more than a week or one of them dies both die in the process. I assume you will have to build up your tolerance to being separated but, that would drive you both crazy from the pain. The way to not feel pain is to stay together," she replied in a serious tone.

"So, we are stuck together until the end?" I asked. 

"Yes, like I said it could kill you if you separate for too long," Alphys responded.

"Thankfully, I get to be with the nicest girl in the planet," Chara responded with a flirtatious tone.

"Dr. Alphys I need to ask you one more thing," I commented.

"What is it?" she asked.

"Do you know how to make an artificial soul?" I asked.

"Yes, it would take a few days but I can accomplish it. Why do you ask?" she asked.

"Asriel is still alive. Flowey is Asriel and he has been trapped in that form. I promised him after he broke the barrier that I would try to bring him back," I replied.

"I will get to work on it right away," she replied with a hurried tone.

"Thank you for telling us our situation," Chara thanked.

"No problem," she replied.

"Come on you adorable lizard we should start heading home," Undyne claimed. Undyne put her arm on my shoulder and gave me a hug.

"Goodbye," I said.

"Goodbye Frisk and Chara," they replied.
