{67 The Office Party Pt1

Your POV

''Hey Eunmi,'' You tapped her shoulder and hold up your cup, ''Do you want want another coffee?''

''Oh yeah. That would be nice. Thanks,'' Eunmi held out her cup but just when you wanted to grab it from her hand she changed her mind and pulled her arm back, ''On second thought, let me walk with you. I need to get out of this chair even if it's for a minute I've been working for at least 3 hours straight.''

''Are you looking forward to the party tonight?'' You asked Eunmi while walking with her to the small kitchen. It had been two months since you started working at BigHit full time and everything was going so well! The job has been perfect exactly what you had expected it to be if not more. Your relationship with Yoongi was going well too. Everything is amazing. Almost too amazing. You couldn't believe how things have turned out. Since all of the editing for the upcoming concerts was done and sent to the production teams, BigHit decided to give an office party before the tour staff would depart and things would get crazy before the start of the tour.

''Yes! Definitely, '' Eunmi replied with a bright smile while placing her cup under the coffee machine and pressing the button, ''BigHit's office parties are awesome! I've been thinking do you maybe want to meet up after work to prepare for the party? It could be fun we can have some wine and some other food.''

''Uh, well,'' It isn't that you didn't want to meet up with Eunmi after work but you had already promised your friends they could help you besides your dress was still at home, ''I would like to but my dress is still at home, besides I kind of promised my friends they could help.''

''Oh yeah, sure that's okay,'' She replied clearly disappointed and grabbed her coffee from the coffee machine.

''But! If you want to you can join us at my apartment,'' You smiled brightly at her, ''I know my apartment is small and further away then yours but-''

''Yes!'' Eunmi already replied interrupting you, ''I would love that!''

''Okay, it will be fun!'' You replied and placed your cup under the coffee machine to get your coffee before following Eunmi back to your desk. ''The girls promised to bring wine as long as I ordered the take out.''

''Sounds good,'' Eunmi replied, ''Just send me your address and I'll go by my place to get some supplies and my dress and I'll see you after work.''

''Sure,'' You sat back down in the chair behind your desk, ''Let's quickly finish or work and let the fun begin.''

''Yes!'' Eunmi pumped her fist in the air excited, ''Let's work hard.''

Since all the files for BTS and their tour were finished you had gottensome time to work on a few personal projects while Eunmi was working on a project for TXT. After 2 hours of working you had gotten all of the work that you had set for today finished. You looked over at Eunmi who was still working hard. While packing your bag you started shutting down the computer.

''Are you already done?''Eunmi asked when she saw you were packing your bag.

''Yeah, how much do you have left?'' You replied pointing to her screen.

''Maybe 15 minutes?'' Eunmi looked back to her screen, ''Not so much, but you can go ahead I'll meet you at your apartment later. Don't forget to send me your address.''

''I won't, I'll send you it right now,'' You grabbed your phone from the table and quickly sent Eunmi a message before grabbing the last of your stuff ''I'll see you later then.''

''Yeah,'' Eunmi smiled, ''See you later.''

You walk to the elevator and send your friends a message that you are off work and that Eunmi is joining the three of you tonight. They had been wanting to meet her anyway, she had become a really good friend of yours in the past months. Even though she hadn't been to your house before you had gone out for drinks after work a few times.

After the subway ride, it's just a small walk to your apartment. Jieun and Haneul aren't there yet so you take the time to make the apartment look a little bit cleaner for when Eunmi arrives. You couldn't care less if your friends saw your mess but you didn't want to give Eunmi the impression you were a slob. Just when you were stuffing the last of your laundry in a basket your doorbell rang and you quickly pressed the button to open the door.

''Y/N!'' Jieun yells when she enters your apartment, ''I come bearing gifts.''

You look over at Jieun who is proudly holding up two bottles of wine with a large grin.

''Don't worry,'' She says while opening the fridge, ''I have more!''

At Jieun feet there is a bag with two more bottles, red ones this time she puts them on the kitchen counter next to the fridge.

''You're here early,'' You walk away from your closet deciding it was clean enough and grabbed two wine glasses from your cabinet and handed them over to Jieun, ''So what do we start with red or white?''

''Your choice,'' She grabs the glasses from your hands and puts them on the kitchen counter next to the red wine bottles.

''Then let's start with red,'' You point to the bottle next to her, ''In that way the white can cool down in the fridge first.''

''Good idea!'' Jieun grabs one of the bottles and skilfully removes the cork.

You plop down on your couch and turn on your tv to put on some music.

''So, how's your internship going?'' You ask Jieun when she walks over with two glasses of wine filled to the brim.

''Pretty good, '' She replies handing you a glass of wine, ''Even though the work is quite simple it's still hard work. They have me like carrying everything while also demanding me to come to work in this stupid business outfit including heels. You try carrying two suitcases of heavy camera equipment on those things!''

Jieun points to her black heels that are at your doorstep.

''You came here straight from work?'' You scan Jieuns outfit and now that you take a better look, it isn't Jieun's usual style. More formal and business-like but still with some accessories she managed to give it her own spin, typical Jieun.

''Yeah,'' Jieun is then cut off by the doorbell ringing again before you can get up Jieun was already at the intercom letting Haneul in.

''Heyy girl!!'' Jieun yells when she walks to the door and hugs her tightly, ''Here.''

Jieun shoves her glass of wine in her hands before Haneul even has the time to take of her shoes.

''What are you so happy about?'' Haneul asks Jieun and looks curiously at you. You shrug your shoulders signaling you have no idea either.

''Nothing special,'' She replies and walks over to the kitchen to pour herself another glass of wine, ''It's just good to see you two again since we're all so busy with work and everything.''

''Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it,'' Haneul takes off her shoes and grabs the glass of wine she temporarily had put on the ground next to her,'' We used to see each other every day and it's been more than a week hasn't it.''

''Don't the two of you live together though?'' You ask surprised.

''Yeah we do, ''Haneul replies, ''But we're both busy and kind of have been living separate life's not seeing each other much.''

''Anyway, Y/N?'' Jieun askes with a grin, ''How's everything going with Yoongi?''

''Really good!'' You smile just thinking about him, ''Even though he's been busy with the tour he always tries to take some time for me and we message a lot. It's been amazing.''

''Just by seeing the two of you together makes me want to have a soulmate even more,'' Jieun sighs, ''Sometimes I am a little jealous. You know, chances of finding your soulmate are so slim and we're not getting any younger.''

''I am still young!'' Haneul replies defensively.

''Yeah, but you're also the youngest,'' Jieun replies, '' I am almost three years older than you guys, my chances are getting less and less by the day.''

''You still have time, Jieun.'' You wave off her comment, ''You'll never know what time will bring.''

The doorbell rings again this time you spring up to get the door, it must be Eunmi.

''Come in!'' You almost yell through the intercom, ''It's on the eighth floor.''

''She is here, behave yourself, girls!'' You strictly point a finger at your friends, ''Especially you Jieun.''

''What? Why me?'' Jieun holds up her hands, ''What have I done.''

''Nothing yet,'' Haneul laughs, ''But I am keeping my eyes on you.''

''Oh and girls,'' You add in a serious tone, ''Do not forget she doesn't and can't know anything about Yoongi.''

''Yeah, yeah,'' Jieun replies loosely.

''Jieun...'' You glare at her, ''I am serious about this, zip it!''

''Yes ma'am,'' She replies and salutes, you shake your head and go open the door for Eunmi.

''Hey,'' You smile at Eunmi and give a quick hug before opening the door further to let her in, ''Welcome to my humble apartment.''

Eunmi is wearing a knee height pencil skirt with a white blouse with some ruffles, even though the outfit is quite simple she looks stunning in it. It's obvious she hasn't done her make-up yet but she doesn't need that much Eunmi is already beautiful without it.

''It looks nice,'' Eunmi replies smiling, ''My student apartment was much worse and dark. I wasn't even able to keep one plant alive in there.''

Eunmi takes off her shoes and follows you into your apartment.

''These are my friends,'' You point to Haneul first, ''Haneul.''

''Hey,'' Haneul waves friendly at Eunmi who greets her back.

''And this is Jieun.'' You point to Jieun who also greets Eunmi, ''Do you want anything to drink? We've got some wine if you like.''

''Yeah sure,'' Eunmi replies smiling, ''That would be nice.''

''Okay,'' You walk over to the kitchen cabinet to pour Eunmi a glass of wine, ''Just make yourself at home.''

Eunmi sits down on the couch next to Haneul. She looks a little uncomfortable but who isn't when meeting new people. You hand her the glass of wine and sit down on a chair next to Jieun.

''So, how's working with Y/N,'' Haneul asks Eunmi.

''Really nice, '' Eunmi smiles at you, ''It's nice to finally have a good friend at work. Don't get me wrong, everyone is nice and gets along well. Still, most people who work there are a lot older than us so it's nice to have someone at least remotely close to my age.''

''How old are you Eunmi?'' Jieun asks curiously.

''27,'' Eunmi replies, ''I'm the youngest in the office, besides y/n, of course.''

''Woah,'' Jieun replies surprised, ''There's a lot of young people were I work.''

''There are younger people at BigHit too,'' You explain, ''Just not in the editing team.''

''Oh good or else the office party would have been kind of a bummer, '' Haneul gets up from the couch and walks over to your closet, ''Speaking of which, what are you going to wear y/n?''

''Oh,'' You also get up from your chair and follow Haneul to your closet, ''I have this nice blouse and-''

''You are not going to wear a blouse!'' Even from the other side of the room, you can feel Jieun's glare in your back, ''What is the dress code again?''

''Formal,'' Eunmi replies, ''But it's not too serious a blouse or a simple dress is fine. Most of the men just show up in there working suits anyway.''

''Still,'' Jieun also gets up from her chair and starts going through your closet.

After some searching, she pulls out a tight-fitting dark blue dress, ''What about this?''

''No,'' You shake your head, ''That's too short,''

''But you have to look good for Yo-'' You glared at Jieun who quickly changes her words, ''You to make a good impression. If you look good you might get hired later, you'll never know.''

''Dressing well doesn't get me a job.'' You replied glad Jieun was able to quickly cover her almost slip up.

''She is right,'' Eunmi who has also gotten up from the chair and joined the three of you at your closet, ''You wouldn't want to wear something too revealing around the drunk old man.''

''Good point,'' Jieun puts back the dress and goes on.

In the meantime, you grab the black pants and blouse you had planned to wear and show them to Eunmi. ''This is okay right?''

''That quite nice,'' Eunmi smiles at you and gives you a thumbs up.

''let me try it on, '' You start changing while Haneul and Jieun rummage through your closet.

''What do you think?'' You turn around in your clothes, the three girls check you out from head to toe and your surprise all girls including Eunmi shake their heads.

''They are right, something is missing,'' Eunmi says and points at your closet, ''Am I allowed to also take a look?''

''Yeah, sure!'' You smile encouraging her, ''Go ahead.''

You take a large sip of your wine, this might be more difficult than you thought.

''What about this?'' Haneul holds up a longsleeved turtle necked black dress, ''It's sexy but covers all areas.''

''That's nice!'' Eunmi exclaims, ''You should try it on y./n''

Haneul tosses the dress at you to change into while the three girls continue going through our closet.

''Whoaah,'' Eunmi exclaims in amazement and pulls out the most beautiful dress in your closet that is way more expensive than any of the other items, the dress Yoongi gave you. ''This dress is seriously beautiful!''

Jieun and Haneul luckily are too busy rummaging through your closet to notice Eunmi standing there with Yoongi's dress in her hands. You look at Eunmi in shock and try to come up with some explanation of why you would have such a piece in your closet. Haneul also notices the situation and stares blankly at you also unsure what to do with the situation, she knows the dress was a gift from Yoongi.

''Yeah,'' You reply subtly grabbing the dress from her hands, ''It is, I bought it for last year's Christmas gala, but it's way too much for an office party though.''

''I guess you're right,'' Eunmi laughs and you carefully put the dress back, ''It looks familiar though, I just can't put my finger on it where I've seen it before.''

Oh no, you look at Eunmi in shock she can't have seen it at BigHit right? How were you going to explain that?

''Maybe you've seen it on the internet somewhere?'' You reply calmly not trying to show how nervous you are, ''There's a lot of beautiful dresses online these days.''

''Yeah I guess so,'' Eunmi replies and then notices the dress you're wearing. The dress Haneul had picked before, ''You should wear that! It looks so good on you!''

''Yup, that's the dress,'' Haneul nods in agreement and taps Jieun on her shoulder, ''What do you think?''

''Hmm?'' Jieun hums oblivious of the whole situation, ''Oooh, That's nice! With some nice jewelry, it's perfect!!''

''Okay so now that's decided,'' You take the last sip of your wine glass, ''Time for a refill!'

Another chapter is out! Again I am making the chapter way too long hahaha this chapter was supposed to just the office party but well it took me about 2500 and were not at the part yet XD Well I'll just split it into two chapters, so the next chapter will be the office party!? What do you think will happen at the party? will she be able to keep Yoongi a secret from Eunmi?

Jieun is the oldest of the three of you, she is one year and a half older than you, so she currently is 23.

PS: I hope you guys are all safe and healthy with everything that has been going on with the coronavirus. My country is in partial lockdown, all the bars, restaurants, clubs, schools, universities, sports clubs, etc. are forced to shut their doors. People are advised to work from home if possible, but it's not mandatory. So, for me, since I am not able to work from home, I still have to go to work every day. In an office with 50+ more people if I decide to stay at home I won't get paid if one person at the office gets the virus I am doomed. The virus has already been diagnosed in the city I work at so...
