Chapter 29
Leo's POV
I squinted at the teacher and made a face.
Jason noticed me and raised a brow.
"Leo, what are you doing? Your face looks broken."
I scoffed. "Wow Jace. Exactly what I always wanted to hear. 'Your face looks broken'."
Jason put his hands up in surrender. "Ok ok sorry. But seriously, why're you giving the teacher that weird look?"
I glanced at the door, and saw a streak of caramel hair swing out of the doorway.
"Um, that darn teacher gave me detention for um, oh! I know! Because Coach Hedge told her that I messed up his speaker thing! Yea. That's why."
Jason was probably about to give me a talk saying, 'Leo dear, you should never mess up coach's speaker, especially without me!', but Frank came up to us.
"Guys, we're going to study hall."
I immediately got up and ran out the door, leaving a confused Jason behind.
I was running and looking back, which was a bad idea.
Right as I looked ahead, I bumped into someone.
And just my luck, it was the girl who absolutely hated me for some odd reason.
"Sorry!"
Calypso looked at me blankly before turning around and walked away.
"Well that's weird." I mumbled before looking for someone I knew.
-----
Annabeth's POV
I knew it was a bad idea the moment I stepped into the school.
Everyone was looking at me, which is something I wasn't used too.
I glanced to my side, and saw Piper and Silena giving me a thumbs up.
There I was, walking down the hallway, with a dress on, somehow perfect curls in my hair, and light make up on.
Everyone was still looking at me, probably thinking, 'Woah! That nerdy girl doesn't look like a nerd today!'.
Piper, sensing my discomfort, yelled, "Nothing go see here! Turn around and mind your own business."
And just like that, everyone looked away and continued to whatever conversation they were having.
I sighed. "Thanks Pipes. I don't know how you do it."
Piper smiled before smacking me in the arm. "Stop tugging on your dress. You look fine."
I frowned. "I kinda wish I brought a jacket. Then you wouldn't see my dress."
Piper faked a hurt expression. "I dressed you all up for you to want to cover it up?"
I smiled. "Honestly yes. I don't know how you convinced me to wear all this today."
Piper smirked. "Actually, I had a plan." Her eyes traveled to the entrance of the school, and I quickly followed.
I saw the person I dreaded to see, standing in the front of the school.
Before I could say something, Piper grabbed my hand and headed to where he was standing.
By the time I got out of her grip, I was presented in front of Percy.
He looked at me surprised, either from what I looked like or that I was here in the first place.
We both stood there awkwardly while Piper, in the background, ushered me to speak.
"Um, hi."
Percy looked at me as if I grew a third head. "Uh, hello."
We stood there for what seemed like years, before the bell rang and we both hurriedly headed in the opposite direction.
Piper stomped over in my direction. "Dang it! You people are so... uhgh."
I chuckled. "Sorry Pipes. Let's go to class."
Piper grinned mischievously. "Which we happen to have with Percy. Huh."
I cursed under my breath. "Dam it."
I KNOW! such a late update! i tried to update sooner, but i didn't really have enough written to post. honestly, this still isn't as much as i was hoping to write, given how long since i last updated.
i'll try to update more, but it definitely won't be daily like it used to be.
once i figure out a schedule i'll tell you guys.
or i'll dedicate a day of writing and just write a whole bunch of chapters and post them spread out.
i'm genuinely sorry that it took so long to update and it's not even that good of a chapter.
i'll try to make them better and quicker, but it may take some time.
again, i'm sorry:(
