Ending the call Manik walks to his room and entering inside he glances at bed where his wife sat there engrossed reading a book not bothering to acknowledge his presence. He took a deep breath and closing the door made his way towards her.

He stood by the bed and looks at her who didn't even glanced away from the book. He rolls his eyes and thought what it is so good about the book that she hasn't bothered acknowledging his presence.

He clears his throat to gain her attention and when he didn't get any attention from her he frowns looking at her and thought what did he do to see her ignorance. He again cleared his throat trying to gain her attention while shoving his hands in his pocket.

Lifting her face from the book she looks at him passing him glare and muttered something under her breath that wasn't audible to him. He looks at her and frowns when she ignored him looking away from him and going back to reading the book.

He sighs and sits opposite her and pulls the book away from her hand and looks when he noticed the cover of the book. He looks at her and thought of teasing but immediately stopped seeing her anger.

Nandini : what the heck are you doing here Manik? Who said you can come and sit here? Why did you take my book? Give my book back to me otherwise

Manik: otherwise what sunshine? I admit you really surprised me. I mean I never thought you read these kind of books. What else do I not know about you?

Nandini rolls her eyes at him and tried snatching the book away from him but Manik pulled it back and chuckles seeing her attempt. Muttering curses and yelling at him she leans forward to grab the book.

Nandini : Manik. I am warming you, give me the book back otherwise I will complain to moms about you troubling me. Look at you troubling a poor child.

Manik chuckles hearing her and looks at her who was ready to murder him by her anger. He puts the book behind his back and looks at her who was trying her best to get hold of the book from his hold.

Manik: who is the child among us sunshine? I don't see any child here. Do you see any child in the room?

He teased her and Nandini looks at him bewildered hearing his words and sits back on her place folding her eyes and throwing deathly glares at him.

Nandini: you are so bad Manik. I hate you. I don't want to be with you. I am going to mom and complain to her about her son who is being rude and annoying. I will tell her how you are troubling me.

Nandini climbs down the bed and not bothering not glance at him she turns to leave the room but stopped when he stops laughing and holding her wrist pulls her over onto his lap making her front body collide with his chest. He looks at her.

He raised his hand up and strokes her face and hair. He tucks the loose hair stands back of her ear and leaning forward planted a soft against her head.

Manik : I am sorry sweetheart. I was just teasing you. I didn't mean to be rude. I am sorry if you felt bad. Please give me love. I am really sorry.

Her eyes widened looking at him and blushed crept over her face as she realised in what position they were sitting. He looks at her and smirks seeing her blush. His fingers still caressing her cheeks softly.

Manik: sweetheart. What am I seeing? A blush on your face. Why are you blushing? I didn't so anything or said anything to make you blush? Why is my little wife blushing so much? Come tell me.

She laps his chest away and bitting her inner cheeks she gets down his lap and composing herself she looks at him who frowned when she moved back.

Nandini : what is wrong with you Manik? Why are you behaving so strange? Did you hit your head on the wall? You are acting so strange. Are you okay?

Manik : sunshine. You shouldn't have changed the topic but since you have brought to my attention. I didn't hit my head on the wall but I think someone else did. I mean can I know why is my sunshine ignoring me? What did I do? You didn't even look at me when I was standing beside me? Are you avoiding me love? What did I do to deserve this?

Nandini looks at him and slaps her head lightly when realisation hits that she was supposed to be angry with him and not to talk to him because he didn't even praise or said anything about the food she was especially cooked for him. She looks at him and passed a glare to him who got confused.

Nandini : don't pretend like you don't know anything Manik. I saw how everyone loved and appreciated my cooking whereas you didn't even bordered appreciating my cooking. You didn't even compliment how food was. Only you said was good. Really Manik. Only good. I expected better from you.

Manik chuckles and slaps her head lightly and took her hand in his and brought it closer to his lips placing a kiss over her hand and looks at her.

Manik : you are angry with me because I didn't appreciate your food downstairs love. How could you even think I didn't like the food made by you? Sunshine your food fabulously amazing. I am not lying but it was really delicious and yummy.

Her eyes twinkles up as she heard him praising her. Her heart overwhelmed by hearing his words.

Nandini : really Manik? You liked the food. Why didn't you say anything downstairs? I wanted to hear from you. I thought you didn't like it what I made.

Manik : sunshine. I really loved the food made by you. I don't like expressing myself front of everyone. How can I not like the food? I loved it so much. It was heaven and believe I could kissed you there.

Her eyes widened hearing his last words and looks at him to see if he was kidding but seeing a smirk on his face she knew he wasn't kidding but being serious. He chuckles seeing her shock face and cupping her face placed a kiss on her nose.

Manik : you are so so cute sunshine. I was just kidding. I won't do anything without your consent. I never want you to feel uncomfortable around me.

Nandini : I can never be uncomfortable around you Manik. Never say anything like that please.

He smiles and stroking her head softly gestures her to wait and rushed towards the closet and opening it he took the gift and walks back to Nandini.

Nandini looks at him and pretending to be in shock when she saw him walking towards her holding the gift. She immediately knew the gift was for her.

Her excitement couldn't wait longer to see what he brought her this time. Within few months he had give her so many diffident types of gifts making her heart flutters seeing his care towards her.

Manik smiles and stood front of her and handed the gift to her and looks at her who excitedly didn't wait a second ripping the wrappers away and opening the gift. Her eyes widened in shock and surprise she looks at the gift inside the box. Her eyes were filled with tears as she looks at the gift then back at him.

He smiles at her as she took the gift out of the box and hand it on her palm staring it with so much love. He took a step forward and calls her name out softy.

She looks at her and let a sob out then crashed into his arms bursting into tears. He held her close to his heart and caressed her head softly. He dropped numerous of kisses on her head and tightened the hug. He broke the hug cupping her face.

He brushed his thumb against her eyes and wipes the tears off and leaning forward he placed a kiss on her head and smiles who was overwhelmed by his sweet gesture. Her heart was touched by his gesture.

Manik : do you like it sunshine? I didn't knew what else you might like. When I was searching for a gift then my eyes on this necklace and couldn't help myself imagining how beautiful it would look on you.

Nandini : I love it Manik. This is so beautiful. Thank you so much. I really love it. Since you brought for me why don't you put on me.

Manik smiles and nodded his head gestures her to turn around and taking the necklace from her moves her hairs to one side and tied the necklace around her neck. He turns around her around and cupping her face looks at her who looked absolutely stunning.

Manik : now it's looks so perfect on you sunshine. It looks much better than i imagined on you.

She smiles and tiptoes and kissed his cheek making him smile. He wraps his arm around her waist and pulls her closer. Blush crept on her face. He chuckles and leans forward to kiss her head but was disappointed when he heard a knock and Nandini pushing him went towards the door opening the door.

Manik groans and muttered curses under his breath for his sisters who marched into his room disturbing his moment with his wife. He looks at them entering inside the room and smirking at his way.

Alya : Manik what are you doing? Do you want you know you were supposed to get ready for your reception? You are not supposed to be in the room.

Manik : excuse me. This is my room. You can't tell me where to be or not to be. Why are you guys here?

Mukti : Bhai. Have some shame. We all know how desperate you want to spend time with Bhabhi but please wait for sometime. Bhai we need to get Bhabhi ready so please take your stuff and move out of the room so we can get Bhabhi ready.

Manik : why? Why am I getting kicked out of my own room? You can get ready while me being here. I can't go out of my room. Where will I get ready?

Aurora: Manik. The boys are waiting for you in the guest room. You will go and get ready there.

Jessica: now take your stuff and go there. They are waiting for you. We have to get Nandini ready.

Manik ignoring the girls looks towards his wife who stood there suppressing her laugh seeing him acting like a child. He hoped she would stop him but Nandini crashed all his hope when she went to closet and taking his attire for tonight passed it to him.

He glanced at her and leans closer to her ears and whispers making her eyes shock when she heard it.

Manik : sunshine. I don't want to leave you. I can watch you get ready. You are my wife. Please

She looks at him ins shock and shaking her head in disbelief she slaps his hand and pushed him out of the room. The girls laughed out loudly seeing Manik getting kicked out of the room by his own wife.

Mukti : wow! What a sight to watch? Bhai getting kicked out of his own room. History is repeating itself. I can't believe it. Few days ago I used to see mom kicking dad out of the room now I will see Bhabhi kicking Bhai out of the room. It will be sun.

All the girls laughs hearing Mukti including Nandini joined them. They stopped laughing and looks at Nandini with teasing a smile on their faces.

Mukti : Bhabhi. We are very sorry if we disturbed you both. I mean the way Bhai looked at us looked he was literally planning how to murder us.

Alya : I never thought we will get to see Manik like this. I am so happy Manik found Nandini.

Aurora: look at babes she is also blushing. What happened? did we miss something babes. You can share it us. We won't mind it.

Jessica: you guys are so cute. Come babes tell us.

Nandini looks at them and shakes her head and scolding them moves to the closest taking the dress out that she is going to wear tonight for reception.

Ignoring the laughers in the room she went to washroom to change leaving the girls who burst out of laughing seeing Nandini embarrassed.
