╚»★«╝ Chapter 2 : Teamwork, please ╚»★«╝

After 10 000 years of disuse, the castle certainly needed some updates and some tuning. While Princess Allura was busy with the main power of the core, you were tasked with Coran to test the alarms and the ship's defenses.

She also thought it would be a good idea to test the Paladins if under attack. You prepared your chronometer, having noticed that the princess's advisor was holding a thermoscope. Or at least, something that measured the temperature. You were never sure with him and his inventions. In any case, he will not be able to note the time the guys will make.

"Are you ready, (y/n)?" inquired Coran, about to unleash the red alarm.

"Whenever you are" you replied.

The alarm worked perfectly, and immediately your voice filled the castle as you ordered the paladins to head to the operational room.

"Come on. Zarkon is attacking. We're all going to die" you said, almost boringly.

"You've got to sell it a little bit more" Coran shook his head before clearing his throat. "OH NO! ALLURA IS DEAD! IT'S HORRIBLE! HER HEAD FELL OFF!"

".......What?" you deadpanned, sweating as Coran exaggerated his acting.

"Wait! What? Her severed head is trying to speak to me! What is it, Allura's head? What are you final words?" his eyes filled with tears.

"Coran" you warned.

"Oh, yes, Princess, I'm listening"

"It's over" you grunted, the alarm stopping.

"OH, I KNOW!" groaned the old man. "If only Voltron had been formed"

Deep in his antics, he didn't notice that most Paladins has arrived and were staring at him weirdly. You quickly noticed that only Shiro was wearing his armor, and the rest were either in their pajamas or casual clothes. Lance, not to your surprise, wasn't here.

"I guess this isn't an actual attack" noted Shiro, Allura entering the room with a slightly angry expression.

"And it's a good thing it wasn't because it took you....Coran?" the princess wondered the time, shooting a look at her advisor.

"Seventy-five degrees!" he shouted. "Oh, sorry. No, this is a meat thermometer"

"2 minutes and 30 seconds, Princess Allura" you sighed, checking twice the time displayed on your chronometer. "Why do you keep asking those simple things from him?"

"Well, it was too long! You must always be ready to do battle with Zarkon" said Allura. "Look at you! Only Shiro is in uniform. Keith, Pidge, Hunk, where are your bayards? And where's Lance?"

Said male entered in the operational room in all in his glory, face glistening by using  one of his facial masks he once spoke off. Pretty weird, in your opinion. He yawned, taking a sip of morning milk.

"Good morning, everybody. What's going on?" he asked, walking to you.

"Coran, (y/n), and I have been up for hours getting the Castle back in order. We had to run a test on the alarms and we decided to test you as well. Guess which one failed" said gravely the princess.

"A hint: it begins with 'you'...." you stated.

"Hey" yawned Hunk. "You got to sleep for 10 000 years, man. Monday night, I was on Earth. Now, I've flown through space, fought some evil alien named Zarkon, eating goo in some weird castle. That's a lot to process in, uh....I don't know. What day is today?"

"It's the third quintant of the Spicolian movement. Hump day!" answered Coran, no doubts not answering perfectly the question.

"Basically Tuesdays in your world" you rectified.

"....A lot to process"

"You must understand the stakes of our mission. Over the last 10 000 years, the Castle picked up distress beacons from the following locations" said Allura, showing a galactic map. "So we have to assume that Zarkon has conquered almost the entire known universe. Earth is here. An attack on your planet is inevitable"

"No...." murmured Hunk, his face fallen.

"Exactly. Our mission is to free all those planets. Coran and I are getting the Castle ready to leave Arus. (y/n) will use her experience as a military general to train you. During that time, you have to learn to form Voltron so we can begin fighting Zarkon"

"Wait. General?" repeated Lance, whipping his head toward you.

"The Princess is right" said Shiro, ignoring completely the Blue Paladin. "Let's get to our lions and start training"

"Wait. But I want to talk to the prisoners we rescued from the Galra ship" trailed Pidge.

"Negative, Number Five. I have you ranked by height, okay?" spoke Coran. "The prisoners need to remain in the cryo-replenishers until tomorrow"

"That's right. Now, get to your lions" ordered Allura.

    ┕━━━━ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ━━━━┙

You waited for the guys to show up with their Lions, prepared to guide them in their training to form Voltron. However, you noted right away that someone was missing. Hunk.

You released a sigh as the Yellow Paladin finally arrived, a cue for the training to start. You pressed a button to open the chatroom so your face appeared on the team's screens.

"For the first part of the training, you will try to form Voltron on your own. To be able to, you need to work as a team, and feel the bound of your Lions and fellow pilots" you instructed.

"Yes, General. All right, guys. Let's just fly in tight formation until we're totally in sync" suggested Shiro.

"Yeah!" the rest of the team responded.

They flew off with their Lions, their enthusiasm reaching through the roof. They soared the sky for an unknown amount of time, without showing any sign of forming Voltron perfectly.

From the chatroom, you could hear was once enthusiastic cheers turning into weak replies. You facepalmed, hand slowly coming off.

"Am I the only one who's still pretending to be excited?" wondered Hunk  after a moment.

"Clearly, this isn't working. Let's set down for a little bit" said Shiro.

"Maybe we should be building Voltron from the ground up" suggested Keith, earning a few sounds of confusion from his teammates. "I mean, let's try literally building Voltron"

"Like, stacking on top of each other?" said Lance, his unimpressed tone irritating Keith. "Like a cheerleader pyramid?"

"You got a better idea?"

"It's worth a try" shrugged the leader.

You couldn't bring yourself to tell them it was an experiment that guaranteed no results. Voltron is much more than just arranging the Lions on top of one another. It's something that science can't even explain.

If it was just that simple to form Voltron, anyone could do it. Yet, you continued to watch from the castle as the Paladins climbed on each other.

First, they didn't even do it in the right order. Hunk was on top of the Black Lion when he's a leg.

"Paladins....What are you doing?" you sighed.

"Hunk, you're supposed to be the leg over there" said Shiro, exasperated. His tone matched the face he was making in the video chat.

"What? No, no, no, no. I'm pretty sure that when we did it last time, I was the head. Right?"

"You yelled, 'I'm a leg!' " reminded Lance of the first time they formed Voltron.

"Yeah. I was yelling a lot of things"

"The Black Lion is always the head" you stated. "And Shiro is the pilot of the Black Lion, so...."

"All the time?"

"Yes"

"Okay, but next time I call head"

Redoing their formation, this time the team were able to do the exact pyramid of Voltron. They stood there doing nothing, focusing their minds on the bonds with their teammates and Lions. One minute of silence later, Shiro's voice echoed in the speakers:

".....Is everyone bonding and focusing?"

"Why was this so much easier before?" groaned Lance.

"Urg. Let's take a break..."

"Alright, Paladins. I think I may be able to help" you said finally. "Yesterday, you weren't able to form Voltron until you were in the heat of the battle"

The guys looked at their screens inquisitively, eyeing you as you moved to a pad in the far corner of the castle. You clicked on some buttons, all the while saying:

"Since I need to run a diagnostic test on all the Castle defenses, maybe it will help"

You activated the turrets of the ship who started to shoot lasers at the Paladins who screamed in surprise. The Lions ran out of the way while there was several explosions in the background.

"OKAY, GO, GO!" panicked Lance.

"(Y/N), WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" cried out Keith.

"I told you" you smiled sweetly. "Running a diagnostic test and inspiring you. Princess Allura will want a report on the Castle defenses, and I think it will be also a good opportunity to form Voltron. Do you really think the Galra fleets will let you do so while they are taking a cup of tea?"

"AT LEAST IT WON'T BE IN THE MIDDLE OF THOUSANDS OF MISSILES!" shrieked Pidge.

"I KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO KILL US!" sobbed the Blue Paladin with waterfalls of tears.

"Fufufufu! Let fear be your guide!" you laughed maniacally, rows of sharp teeth poking out of your mouth and eyes turning white while a shadow cast over your forehead. "Now, form Voltron!"

"Forget this! I'm heading back to the Castle!" said Lance, turning his Lion around and running to the bridge.

You frowned in displeasure as the Blue Lion approached the Castle, about to pass the protective barrier. Clicking your tongue, you entered lines of codes so the barrier didn't let any member of the team in. When Lance reached the shield, he was pushed away by it. While lover boy complained about how it hurt, Hunk was pleading you to stop your attacks and have mercy.

"Oh, you think Zarkon is going to have mercy on you?" you cooed, before narrowing your eyes. "He's probably on his way right now to destroy us all!"

You activated the auto-defenses on the computer so the castle would continue to fire at them while you did something else in the meantime. Around an hour later, as you passed through the resting room, you stopped in your tracks when you caught sight of the Paladins taking a break.

"So you did it? You formed Voltron?" you demanded with your hands on your hips.

"No. The shooting stopped and the particle barrier shut down, so we just flew in" said bluntly Keith.

"What" you said, your tone not a question. "Then you're just lazing around?"

"What are you guys doing in here? We're not taking a break" Shiro then arrived through the doors, facing his teammates.

"Shiro's right. You should be training"

"We've been training" groaned Hunk, his head falling back against the couch. "When are we going back to Earth?"

"I'm not going back until I find my family" retorted Pidge.

"Guys, there won't be an Earth if we don't figure out how to fight Zarkon" the leader shook his head in disarray.

"How are we going to fight? We can't even figure out how to form Voltron" cried out Lance.

"I'm not surprised. The original Paladins fought hundred of battles together, side-by-side. As I can see, it seems that you lot don't breathe each other. During the last attack, your survival instincts forced you to work as a team, but that will only get you so far" you frowned. "You'll have to become a real team to have any chance of forming Voltron, and then beating Zarkon next time. We will work out on the training deck"

"....There's a training deck?" asked Hunk.

  ┕━━━━ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ━━━━┙

"Alright, Paladins. Welcome to the training deck" you cleared your throat in the mic.  "For the first part, the paladin code demands you put your team members' safety above your own. A swarm of drones is about to attack. It's up to each of you to do everything you can to protect the other members of your team"

Each paladins received a shield for the next exercise, and gathered together in a tight circle. Several drones encircled them, and one of them shot its first blast at Hunk.

The Yellow Paladin yelled, bending down to dodge the attack that hit Pidge square in the back. The smallest of the group bit back a grunt of pain, but screamed when an opening appeared under his feet, and fell through it.

"Protect your teammates or no one will be there to protect you!" you snapped, watching as Hunk was hit too, and like a professional diver passed through the hole.

Understanding a little bit better what they must accomplish, the three teammates remaining in the field stood back-a-back. You increased the intensity of the drones, causing the young men to groan under the newest level of their attacks.

"You keeping up over there, Keith?" taunted Lance.

"Just concentrate on keeping me safe" replied Keith.

"Me? I'm on drill. You're the one who needs to concentrate" the other male scoffed cockily.

You let out a frustrated sigh as Keith and Lance took this time to bicker around, forgetting they were in the middle of an important exercise. You were wondering if you weren't instead teaching a bunch of children instead of the Paladins that are supposed to save the universe.

With how it looked, the whole world seems to be doomed. While he was too busy taunting his fellow pilot, the Blue Paladin didn't notice one of the drones fired a laser at his feet. Lance let out a cry, lifting one leg and the laser hit instead Keith who could only release an exclamation before disappearing through the hatch.

This moment of inattention from Lance allowed a drone to shoot him in the ass, and follow the same pattern as his previous comrades. Realizing that Shiro was the only one standing, he was quickly eliminated.

"This will be harder than I thought...." you mumbled, bringing a hand on your forehead at the coming headache.

The next exercise consisted of a labyrinth with walls that send an electroshock every time someone touches them. It was all about trusting each other and getting the one inside the labyrinth out of it.

Lance was the first to go, and you decided to pair him with Keith. If only you knew how bad this idea was.

"This ancient paladin maze will teach you that trust. Your teammate can see the walls, but you cannot" you announced through the mic as the blue holograms disappeared. "Listen carefully. If you touch the walls, you'll get a slight shock"

"Wait. Who's guiding me through?" asked Lance.

"Take two steps forward" listed Keith, answering the playboy's question.

"Oh, no. Not Keith. Why does he get to be the man on the mic?" he complained like a brat.

"Stop acting like a child. You'll get your turn" you growled.

"Like I said, take two forward, turn right, and take three steps that direction"

Lance rolled his eyes and complied to the exercise's rules. However, as he advanced forward and made more steps than he should do, he was electrocuted.

The paladin whipped his head toward where Keith was standing with the map, sending a dark look in his way:

"You did that on purpose!" he snarled.

"You're not listening" retorted back Keith.

"You said, 'Turn right' "

"But, before that, I said, 'Take two steps forward' " continued Keith, aggravated as Lance grumbled under his breath.

"Two steps..." Lance repeated, and got electrocuted again. "WE'RE SWITCHING PLACES RIGHT NOW!"

"Lance, you must finish your test before!" you snapped.

"He's not a good teammate for me!"

"Not my fault if you're too imbecile to understand simple directions!" Keith bickered with Lance.

"Why don't we change places and see if you could do it better?!"

"Both of you shut your quiznaks up or I will send you two in the maze, and  I will be the one giving you directions! TRUST ME THAT I WILL MAKE SURE YOU PASS THROUGH EVERY WALL IN THIS DAMN LABYRINTH"  you hollered.

The boys straightened their backs and gave a salute, apologizing immediately to not anger you further.

    ┕━━━━ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ━━━━┙

"You will never be able to form Voltron unless each of you has a strong bond with his lion"

"No problem. Me and Blue are best buds for life, for real" Lance boosted with insolence through his helmet. His ego has reached new levels through the ceiling.

"Perfect" you said simply, shrugging. "Then you won't have any issues with this exercise. Everyone, put your lions into a nose dive!"

The Paladins did as told and followed your instructions as their Lions dived to the ground of the planet.

"This is an expert-level drill you shouldn't attempt until you've been flying for years, but since we're in a bit of a rush, here we go. Activating training helmets" you continued, pushing a button.

Hunk and Lance screamed in surprise while the others simply gasped when the windshield of their helmets turned black. It was impossible for them to see through, and increased the risks of an accident. Not that you were worried for any of them, though.

"H-Hey, General! I can't see!" stuttered Lance.

"You must learn to see through your lions' eyes" you explained. "The goal is to pull up right before you crash into the ground. Feel what your lion feels!"

"M-Mine feels scared!" whimpered Hunk, pulling back before he even reached at least 70 meters from the ground.

The Yellow Lion pulled away from the group, while both Blue and Red seems to speed up in their fall.

"You still going, Keith?" questioned Lance in a taunting manner.

"You know it. You?" the other male inquired.

"Going? I'm speeding up!

"Oh, yeah?"

"Lance! Keith!" you yelled through the speakers, watching on the screen as they approached the ground at an alarming speed. "This isn't a competition about who's going to crash first!"

"Relax, beautiful lady! Me and Blue's bound is indestructible at this point! I'm touched that you worry for me, though"

"This is no time to fool around!" you groaned.

"In any case, we must be getting close"

"Must be" replied Keith, his voice a little off.

"You getting scared?" teased Lance.

"I'm not getting scared!"

Your expression became a deadpan as they crashed in a dune, both Lions' lower-half sticking out. Groans of pain came from the young men while Lance was able to pull himself out.

"I win" he said, even if the situation screamed the contrary.

"What was that noise? Did they crash?" asked Pidge.

"Do not mind them, Pidge. Concentrate on your lion" you said.

"R-Right, General!"

The Green Lion stopped its fall, and moved to the left. Only to collide against a column of rocks and made Pidge crash into the ground. Shiro seems to be the only one who takes it seriously, having not hear of him until now.

The Black Lion's wings opened and soared through canyons and any obstacle that came in his way. You released a sigh of relief, smiling slightly:

"Excellent work, Shiro!" you congratulated.

"Thank you, General" smiled the leader.

"Paladins, return to the Castle. We will proceed with the next exercise in your training"

"Urg, can't we have a break?" asked Lance, and one vein popped beside your head.

"NO!"

After the team took back their lions inside the ship, you brought the boys back in the training deck. There, they will have to dwell their minds with each other to focus on one thing: Voltron.

"The most important part of paladin training is being able to meld your minds and focus on one thing: Voltron. Everything else has to fade away. This technique will be essential every time you form Voltron. So, relax and open your mind. No walls, no secrets between paladins. Clear everything and focus on forming your lion" you instructed.

The task seems to be successful with everyone. The screen reflected from their helmets of what they thought blurred to become their respective lions.

"Good. Bring your lions together and form Voltron. Keep your minds open, work together"

The holographic image of the Lions slowly approached the center, waiting to be merged and become Voltron. However, you sensed a certain hesitation coming from Pidge, who seems to found it hard to clear his mind from a photography of his family. Maybe his girlfriend?

"Only one to go. Concentrate, Pidge" you encouraged softly.

"Pidge, stop thinking of your girlfriend" nagged Keith.

"I wasn't! Hunk was rooting around in my head!" the smaller boy gritted his teeth.

"I thought we were open. You can look in my head hole" replied Hunk.

"Everyone has to be able to look in everyone's head holes!" you said impatiently. "Clear your minds!"

The Paladins tried once more, and this time Pidge was able to form his Green Lion. They closed in the center and each piece became a part of Voltron. Unfortunately, the Green Lion's hologram quickly turned to the family photo of Pidge, failing the exercise.

"Pidge!" cried out Lance.

"I'm done with this!" grunted in frustration Pidge, smashing the headset on the floor. "Look, I don't like everyone grubbing around in my head!"

"Oh, come on, Pidge, we're starting to get the hang of this" frowned Shiro.

"I'm just...I'm just tired, okay?" he said, folding his arms.

"Take a break, Paladins" you finally said, exiting the room you were in and walking inside the training deck. "Coran. Can you bring them some refreshments?"

"On my way, (y/n)!" replied the jolly voice of the advisor.

A few minutes later, Coran arrived with juice boxes and handed them over to the guys who took them eagerly, thirsty. He observed each of them, noticing how tired they looked.

"Hmm...(y/n) has been working you hard. Maybe it's time to relax a little" he said.

"What are you doing lying around? You're supposed to be training!" shouted Allura as she entered the room, hands on her hips.

"They are resting a little bit, Princess Allura. Pushing too hard will only be useless"

"What do you mean 'Pushing too hard will only be useless'?" she frowned at you. "Get up, you lazy lumps! It's time you faced the Gladiator!"

"As you wish" you sighed. "Paladins, be ready for your next task..."

You escorted the princess and her advisor out of the room while you prepared the next exercise. You leveled the Gladiator to one who could fight against Altean children. You didn't want to take any risk, with how they were fighting.

"In order to defeat the Gladiator, five paladins must fight as one"

The Gladiator fell through an open hatch at the ceiling, surprising Hunk. He yelped, using his bayard to shoot at it. However, the robot didn't really need to dodge at all since his aim was off. It hit instead Keith, who quickly used his shield to protect himself.

The Gladiator took out Hunk by slamming him on the ground with its rod, the tip giving an electric shock to his body. Pidge then tried to fight it, but was sent flying away with only a brush of the stick.

Next was Lance, who shot with his bayard.  The Gladiator propelled itself in the air, and twirled the rod around itself to deflect the bullets. It was able to throw away his weapon and land a hard hit on Lance's head, who froze up in pain.

Keith shoved his sword to stab the machine, but the Gladiator simply slammed the pummel in his stomach, stopping his movements. It then smashed the rod once more on Lance's helmet before throwing him in Keith's way, both of them crashing on the floor.

Shiro was the only one left standing, and the older male activated his robotic arm. Though, as the Gladiator charged at him, he froze up in fear. Keith seeing that, he blocked the hit for Shiro with his sword.

"Shiro, are you okay?!" the mullet ask, not receiving a respond from the other man.

The Gladiator simply unsheathed Keith's bayard from his hand, and threw the young man on top of Shiro, both falling with a groan.

Princess Allura ended the simulation, and entered the training room to give a piece of her mind.

"That combat simulator was set at a level fit for an Altean child!" she ranted, before she faced you with narrowed eyes. "And you, what were you doing with them? They're not even close to working as a team when I asked you to train them to! They can't even face Zarkon at this level!"

"Princess-" you started, but was cut by her lifting her hand.

"No, I don't want to hear. You simply failed your task....Again"

"Hey! It's not her fault!" barged in Keith, noticing the look of hurt you had in your eyes for a glimpse of time. "We're just not good teammates right now! She's not the one you should blame in the first place!"

"I ordered her to train you. And what came out of it? Nothing" said sharply Allura. "We will talk about it for another time. You should all go eat something. Coran, I leave you with the preparation of the dinner. (y/n), you need to turn them into 'true' Paladins before the end of the day!"

"Yes, Princess Allura" you said in unison with her advisor.

   ┕━━━━ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ━━━━┙

"Ahoy, young Paladins!" Coran cleared his throat as everyone except for the princess gathered in the dining room. "I've whipped up a big batch of focusing food. After this meal, you'll be forming Voltron six times a movement and twice on the astral conflux!"

"Smell great, Coran. Thanks" smiled Shiro as you took a seat in front of them.

As the boys reached for their utensils, Coran pulled out remote from his pockets and pressed a button. Magnetic cuffs enrolled around the Paladins wrists, cuffing them to each other. Or at least, the persons they were sitting next to.

"Hold the phone!" cried out Lance, glaring at Coran who played with his mustache.

"I saw a lot of solid individual performances today" you started, eyeing each of them carefully.  "But, you're still struggling to work as a team. So, welcome to the final bonding exercise of the day"

Hunk tried to grab his knife and fork, but the cuffs kept him from doing so. Each time he reached one of them, either Shiro or Lance's hand would pull his back. The bulky man glared at you:

"(y/n), I want you to think about what you're doing" he warned, threatening you for the first time. When it was a question of food, even goo, Hunk didn't play around.

"This one's a classic. You get to feed each other, like a pack of yalmors!" said Coran, which earned a few unsure groans of the others.

A few attempts later, Hunk was able to grab his fork, and dug in his plate. As he opened his mouth to eat the food, Lance accidentally knocked his jaw, causing the goo to spill on the table.

"Ah! Sorry!" apologized Lance, and his eyes widened when he found his hand in Hunk's mouth. "EW!"

The Blue Paladin pulled his hand away, but Hunk tugged it back forcefully, causing Keith's to fall in Lance's plate.

"Oh, nice. You defiled my food goo!" growled Lance, disgusted.

"It's your fault!" snapped back Keith. "This is ridiculous"

"Do Earthlings ever stop complaining for one minute?" you growled.

"Can't you just give us a break?" said rudely Shiro. "Everyone's been working really hard today"

"Yeah! We're not some prisoners for you to toy with, like...like...." started Keith, not knowing how to finish his sentence.

"Like a bunch of toy prisoners!" Lance finished for him, even if it was a little unoriginal.

"Yes! Thank you, Lance!"

"If you think it's just some kind of game, then you're wrong!" you finally snapped angrily, standing from your chair. "You are the Paladins. The Defenders of the Universe! The hope that can stand against Zarkon. To help the princess-"

"The princess of what?" cut Pidge. "We're the only ones out here and she's no princess of ours!"

This time they really did it. You grabbed your plate, and with one twist of your wrist, sent it flying into Pidge's face. The smaller boy groaned, blinking a few times. On cue, Keith grabbed his own plate and shove all of his food in your face.

Coran's face turned white, mouth wide agape in horror. The Paladins beside the mullet gulped uneasily as the goo washed over your face and fell on the table. Your eyebrow twitched, fists clenching tightly.

You lifted your leg and kicked the spatula Coran used to pour the food from its cauldron, grabbing it in mid-air. You then swung it forward, lashing all the content on each Paladins.

You gave a smirk, bringing one hand on your hips while the other held the spatula over your shoulder. A long silence reigned over the room.

"Oh, it's on now" grinned wickedly Hunk, bringing his face in his plate.

Lifting his head, he pushed his cheeks and all the goo were spitted on you and Coran. The old man blinked in surprise, before both you and him narrowed your eyes at the youngsters. Food war declared.

You grabbed a few plates to use as ammo, and hid behind a chair with Coran. All of you threw at each other your food, and you couldn't but laugh once in awhile.

It was the first time you ever got that much fun. Your lips trembled as Coran earned a full bowl of goo in his face, the poor man covered in it from head to toes. You couldn't hold in the laugh, and you gripped your sides as you laughed harder.

It felt good, and the same could be said for the team. With all the commotion, Princess Allura investigated and entered the dining room. She gasped at the mess, eyes wide in shock as she glared at each one of you.

"What's-" she started, but was stopped by Hunk accidentally throwing at her goo.

The lad yelped in terror, trying to hide himself behind a chair while the princess whipped the food off. She gritted her teeth, and entered the food war by pouring the whole cauldron on the team.

You didn't know how long it lasted, but eventually you all stopped to take a time to breathe. Allura sat down on one chair, a shadow covering her eyes and forehead. The Paladins looked at each other, before letting out a laugh.

"Enough! Do you see what you're doing?" Allura cried, sounding angry. She lifted her head, a big smile on her face. "You're finally working together as one!"

"Hey, she's right!" grinned Keith, looking at Lance.

"Yeah. I actually don't hate you right now" he added.

"You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" smiled Hunk.

"Let's go form Voltron" nodded Shiro.

"Yeah!" the team yelled in unison.

"Actually, I was thinking dessert. But, yeah! Let's do it!"

However, the Paladins clumsily fell on their backs, carrying everyone in the fall because of the cuffs. You rolled your eyes, crossing your arms in front of your chest:

"Clumsy much, huh?"

Once outside, the Paladins formed Voltron easily, proving the final exercise to be successful. And you were also able to complete your task of the day.

You smiled next to the princess and Coran, watching as Voltron landed in front of you three.

"They finally did it" you said. "They just needed a common enemy"

"It's true. Like the old proverb says, 'A man can be driven to do anything if a beautiful woman is just really, really mean to him' " said Coran, making you and Allura's face fall into a deadpan.

"(y/n)" started Allura, turning to you. "I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I...."

"It's okay, Princess" you shook your head, smiling at her. "I think we all are stressed out....With the Paladins having to leave their homes so suddenly, and us waking up after 10 000 years to find out about the world we are now living in....It's only by working and supporting each other that we will be able to fight in this war..."

"You're right. And we'll be ready once Zarkon comes" nodded Allura.

Suddenly, her face became devious, and you raised a brow as she leaned close:

"Though, I must say Keith defended you pretty much....Don't you think?"

"Princess..." you groaned, even more when she gave you 'that' look. She giggled, not stopping in teasing you until the end of the day.
