An older lady walked up to Seokjin and Jungkook's table, her eyes full of delight and her smile a bit suspiciously smug.

"Hello," she greeted them, smiling away. The two greeted her back. "I'm the owner of this restaurant. I just wanted to say that you two soulmates are absolutely wonderful. I can tell."

Jungkook blinked up at her, at a loss for words. How did she know that they were soulmates without them saying so or without her knowing them?

"Ah, thank you," Seokjin answered her back instead. "How did you know we were soulmates?"

The question that Jungkook also wondered.

"It's very obvious." The lady looked a bit surprised at the question. "I mean, it's always so amazing to see such comfort within soulmates like this. I could tell from miles away, just by you two's handsome smiles at each other."

Jungkook shuddered at the thought. He'd never paid attention to the way he looked at or treated Seokjin, but this woman was reading them like a book— a book Jungkook didn't know had this sort of plot.

He wasn't looking at Seokjin in any particular way, was he?

"You two feeding each other is so cute," she continued. "A love like this is so wonderful. You two boys have something so special. You know- I have no soulmate myself, but if I had, I'd want to be just like you two."

She gave them one last sweet smile and specifically looked at Jungkook before she walked off, winking at him in an angle that Seokjin couldn't see her doing so.

Jungkook didn't mean to get all flustered or think so much about her words. He'd never had someone like her come up to him and he'd never heard someone talk about how wonderful or amazing his and Seokjin's 'love' was.

Damn.

The two sat in silence— different to how they were moments ago, laughing and talking away.

Now, Jungkook stuffed his mouth with meat and he took the silence as a chance to look down at his wrist name.

It felt like he'd almost forgotten what the point of what soulmates are— He'd even forgotten who Seokjin really is to him only because it was so easy to forget it and become comfortable with him as a regular person.

He hadn't taken the chance to think about what they truly are.

Soulmates.

Kim Seokjin is his soulmate. Seokjin is supposed to be 'the one'. They're the type of soulmates who are supposed to fall in love the quickest and Jungkook had nearly forgotten.

He almost forgot that Kim Seokjin was brought into this world specifically to be with him.
