It's not a date.
But Jungkook and Seokjin met up at the closest bowling alley and went in together. Instantly, Jungkook saw the many different hybrids bowling in their lanes.
One family of cat hybrids had a little boy and a slightly taller little girl. One lane had a teenage girl— a tiger hybrid like Taehyung— and there was a teenage boy next to her— a wolf. They were clearly flirting and being playful, just like another couple on the opposite side who were on a double date, it seemed.
Maybe Jungkook shouldn't look around at all the families and people bowling. He had to tell himself that those people were just friends even if he saw one couple kiss and another holding hands.
It seemed the world was against him today, seeing all the couples— because he and Seokjin are not on a date right now.
The world must've really been against him, though, because—
"Oh, god."
Seokjin was eyeing a girl behind the front counter, seeming to know the wolf hybrid who was standing and waiting for them to come up.
Jungkook was confused, but as they got to the counter, the hybrid leaned over the counter, smiling.
"Look who it is," she said. "Who's this, alpha?" She then looked at Jungkook.
"Jungkook," Seokjin told her and then nudged Jungkook, looking down at him. "She's okay, bunny. She's my cousin, Kalla."
Jungkook hummed as he finally realized how they knew each other. Though she's a wolf, he forced himself to bow slightly in her direction out of respect for Seokjin.
"It's nice to meet you."
Kalla awed at him. "Oh my gosh! Alpha, he's so precious. Don't tell me you're on a date with him..?"
"We're not—"
Before Seokjin could finish, Kalla gasped out and leaned more over the counter, staring down at Jungkook's wrist. "He's your soulmate!?"
Jungkook looked down at his wrist as well, for once not covering it with his hand as it was mentioned.
"That's so amazing, Alpha! Why haven't you told the family yet? Are you guys on your first date? Oh my god, snacks are on me tonight! Just let me know what you want—"
"Kalla!" Seokjin chuckled out, a bit panicked. "We're soulmates but we're just here as friends. Just give us a lane please."
The girl furrowed her eyebrows at them, but Seokjin narrowed his golden eyes and suddenly she was backing away from their bubble.
"Yes, alpha."

Once they finally got to their lane to bowl, the two were looking for which ball they wanted to use. One ball of different shades of blue caught Jungkook's eye, so he went to reach for it— but his hand met Seokjin's as the wolf went to reach for the same one.
Jungkook flinched and retreated his hand, his eyes a little wide as his heart started racing in his chest. He was truly shocked that they really just went for the same ball.
"Y-You can have it."
But as the bunny was speaking, Seokjin picked up the ball and held it out to him. "We can share it."
Oh.
"Um. Yeah, okay."
And so they did. They shared the pretty blue ball and though Jungkook hadn't been bowling in years, he used to be good at it when he'd go out with his friends. He didn't lose his touch.
The more he scored well, the more his smile got bigger and bigger— though he wasn't sure if it was because of that or because of Seokjin's ball going into the gutter for a second time.
He'd rolled the ball so fast that it sped to the side and hit nothing.
"Ah, this damn ball hates me," he complained. He picked up a yellow ball instead. "I'll just play with this one instead."
"That won't make you any better," Jungkook said as he got up for his turn.
"You watch and see. I'll make a great comeback with this amazing, wonderful, shiny ball."
Jungkook giggled at him. "If you do, I'll pay for your food. If I win this though, you pay for mine. Deal?"
"Deal."
And so they played.
And the wolf lost.
The yellow ball did nothing to save him and they both ended up at the snack area, Seokjin bringing a cup of soda and tea, plus two plates with wings— which Jungkook craved— to the table the bunny was sitting at.
Jungkook took the tea and wings, smiling happily as Seokjin sat across from him.
"Can't believe you talked me into this."
Jungkook sipped his tea. "I can't believe you lost so easily," he said as he went to dig into his wings. But before he could, there was unexpectedly a person who appeared beside him.
"Excuse me?" It was a young bunny hybrid. A girl. She was looking down at Jungkook. "Hi. Um." Jungkook could hear giggles from not too far away. He turned his head to see a group of girls of different hybrids watching them. "Can I have your number?"
Jungkook was completely caught off guard by the question. He hadn't even seen this girl before, but it seemed she'd noticed him from afar.
"Aren't you a little too young?" Seokjin spoke up. Both bunnies turned to him, eyes wide. He was looking up at the girl. "Are you a teenager?"
The girl nodded. "Y-Yes. Aren't you?" she asked Jungkook.
Slowly, Jungkook shook his head, smiling apologetically. "I'm twenty-two. And..." He pointed to the man across from him. "He's my soulmate." Now, the bunny and wolf both looked at Jungkook with wide eyes instead.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! Holy crap, this is so embarrassing." She rushed off to her friends, quick to leave the scene and rush past her friends to hide.
Seokjin tilted his head at Jungkook.
"I'm your soulmate, huh?" he questioned and then sipped his soda, waiting for an answer. Jungkook simply filled his mouth with one of the wings on his plate. He pointed to his full mouth and then shrugged as if to say 'I can't answer you, sorry', and Seokjin chuckled at him.
"You're something else, bunny."
