Seokjin informed Jungkook last minute that they were going to be taking a bus to dinner.

Thoughtfully, he didn't want Jungkook to be uncomfortable if they had to drive alone, the restaurant being too far to walk, so they took the bus.

Seokjin was taking things to the extreme, even keeping his wolf ears and tail hidden, but Jungkook felt much safer under extreme measures. He felt safer with a wolf in public rather than alone in a car.

Thoughtful.

The wolf was thoughtful, which was very nice.

When they got to the restaurant, Jungkook glanced over at him. He'd bitten his cheek the whole way there.

"Um. I'm gonna hide my ears and tail too."

Seokjin creased his brows. "Why? You don't have to." But it was unfair for Seokjin to hide and not him, and plus they were about to have dinner.

"Just for a little while. Besides, we're about to eat and I don't want my ears in the way. Just... Let's just go."

It was odd to have dinner with Seokjin. Not odd in a bad way, but because Jungkook never imagined he'd be sitting across from Seokjin like this.

He never thought he'd end up alone with Seokjin at all, and by choice. He'd chosen to say yes to hanging out with Seokjin and he even chose the restaurant— Seokjin told him he'd pay, so it was easy to say yes.

Yeah. That's why.

It was silent for a little while after they ordered their food because neither of them were sure of what to say.

But, after a few minutes...

"I've noticed something you do a lot," Seokjin suddenly told him.

Jungkook's eyebrows raised and his eyes widened, confused. There's no way Seokjin could've noticed anything about him. He never pays attention to Jungkook, so how..?

"That." Seokjin pointed to his mouth, where he was chewing on his necklace. "You chew on things like your banana milk straws a lot."

Jungkook dropped the necklace from his mouth and hid it behind his fist, instead biting down onto his lower lip as he'd been caught.

"I didn't even notice," Jungkook said. He'd always found himself chewing on something whether it be straws, pens, his necklace, his own lip or cheek. "Is that a bad thing?"

Seokjin shrugged. "I dunno. It's just something you do, don't worry about it."

The bunny couldn't even respond because before he knew it, their food was being served and they were caught in the silence once again.

Maybe Seokjin just thinks too much. Maybe he notices too much.

Jungkook hadn't noticed anything specific about the wolf yet and somehow it made him feel bad. It made him think that Seokjin paid more attention to his soulmate than he did.

It made him think that Seokjin cared much more than he did.

Maybe he did.

Maybe Jungkook felt bad for not caring all this time.
