~ chapter eighteen ~

*2 YEARS LATER*

Walking to set, I thought of various things. How the years passed, how I had grown fond of walking and how long it has been since it stopped snowing in Vancouver.

My headphones were in as I kept walking, occasionally saying hi to fans and stopping to take pictures. This would happen almost everyday, as I realized it became a lifestyle rather than a habit.

Taking out my badge for set, I showed it to the new security guard and he let me through, the gate opening as I made my way to our set. The trailers were spread apart as I walked to mine and got inside, the warmness surrounding my body. My headphones were pulled out of my ears and I was adjusting my long curly hair, and placed it into a small braid down the small of my back. It was a French braid and I was loving it.

A knock was heard at my door as I yelled, "come in!" before the door opened and in stepped Grant.

"Hey."

Smiling, I walked over to him and pulled him into a hug, his head burying into my neck. Smiling, I pulled him over to my couch and he sat down, bringing me on his lap.

"How are you?"

Sighing, I smiled before answering with a simple, "I'm doing better."

"That's good."

"Yeah. After everything that happened, I'm still okay."

"Well, didn't I tell you it would get better?"

I put my hands behind Grant's head and threw one leg over his waist, now straddling his lap. His hands remained at my hips as I smiled and kissed him.

"How lucky am I to have you?" he said, chuckling as my cheeks heated up.

"You tell me."

His cheeks became a bright pink as I kissed him again, his hands at my hips and mine at his shoulders.

My phone rang as I parted with Grant and grabbed it.

"Hello?"

"It's time for your scene. Come on and stop kissing Grant."

"Alright, I'm coming."

I ended the call, as I sighed before getting off of Grant's lap.

"What's wrong?"

"My scene. I'm up."

He nodded, as I quickly walked towards our set, my costume and makeup already working on me. Quickly changing into a light pink dress, heels and my hair up, I was ready.

"You look beautiful."

Turning, I saw Carlos with a smile as I hugged him.

"Thank you."

"Anytime."

"Alright, scene 6, take 1."

"Action!"

"Alright, last scene, Ambahr. Are you ready?"

I nodded, as I had changed into ripped black jeans, a white tank top and white high top converse. My hair was in a ponytail and I had makeup scars all over my body. A harness was strapped to my waist as I was in fighting stance, Grant in front of me in his Flash suit.

"Action!"

"I don't want to hurt you!"

"Well, I guess that means I have to do all the work."

I threw a punch at him, he dodged before speeding behind me and pushing me with his foot. Stumbling, I turned and put my hands out, as he stumbled back and fell on the floor. Standing over him, I made a punch and was ready to hit at him, before he created a "vortex" with his arms, sending me back and away from view.

"Cut! That was perfect!"

I was put down, the crew already taking my harness off as I prepared the next scene. Grant had me in his arms, as I quickly kissed him before going limp.

"Action!"

"Cisco, where do I take her?"

"Bring her here. I already have a bed set up. I need to run tests on her, make sure the serum wore off."

Barry took a couple steps, and jogged a little.

"Cut! Let's go, next scene."

We were in the Cortex now, as the background scenery was changing. I was going to be put down on a bed, my character being knocked out and unconscious by Barry.

"Let's go, we're almost done."

Barry ran in, as Cisco pointed to bed that had been cleaned off, as he set me down. Caitlin started to connect wires to me. My character suddenly rose and was sitting up, trying to get out of their grasps. Barry held her down, as Cisco injected her with a sleep serum.

"This should wear off in a couple hours."

"What's wrong with her?"

"I don't know, Barry. But we'll find out. I promise."

"Cut!"

I sat up, a smile on my eyes as I got up from the bed, the directors coming over and telling us basic techniques to help us.

"That was really good, Ambahr. Keep doing great work."

Smiling, I fist bumped him before getting up and going to change out of my clothes. I cleaned off my makeup and wiped mascara on my lashes quickly.

Sitting down on a nearby couch, I started looking at Instagram and Twitter for anything that could be trending. Grant came over and sat next to me, an arm around my shoulders and his fingers playing with the ends of my hair. Smiling, I leaned into him before showing him a photo of us.

"Do you remember this?"

He smiled, taking my phone and looking at the picture before nodding.

"The day we met, right?"

"Yeah. It was so long ago, can you believe it?"

"I can't. It has been a crazy few years."

"It has, babe. It has."

"But I'm so happy to be spending them with you."

He smiled, looking down at me before kissing me.

"Me too."
