Previous Chapter - Lina put on a concerned face "are you ok, I didn't hurt you right?" he seemed a little groggy before he passed out and dropped to the floor again and I went to his side and tried to shake him awake before opening his eyes to see them somewhat rolling into the back of his head. Lina leaned down next to me "I might be able to help him" I look at her 'perfect chance to see what she might do so I nod "Let's go"

A/N: Sorry for missing 2 weeks, I had a lot to study for but I am back. Hopefully, I should be able to finish these books by end of May or June but no promises :)

I followed Lina as she lugged her sparing opponent to the infirmary. She places him down on the empty bed and did a simple examination of him which I watched closely. "What do you think it is, don't tell me your punch is so powerful it knocks people out". I tried to say that as jokingly as possible which I think I succeeded in, Lina looked at me and chuckled. "No, but he might not have been feeling well beforehand" she felt around his neck which I paid close attention to.

I carefully made the communication device I use to connect with Talia switch between signals trying to make it seem like someone is contacting me. I saw Lina turn to me "you can take that if you need to" I smiled lightly "sorry I will be right back.

I stepped out into the hall and started lightly whispering playing it off as I was having a conversation. I press myself close to the wall and brought my magic back to my fingers and make the wall see-through for my eyes. She can't see me but I can see her, as I did this I continued lightly speaking.

Lina touched his neck once again and focused on only one spot but pulled out a radio of her own. I worked my magic so I can listen in now as well "Cobra I have defeated number two, what should I do now" I heard her radio go out. "Nothing else, we just need to wait until the scientist get here which they should be arriving soon" the radio went out again.

I saw Lina look over at the guy I examined "should we try the little bit we have left on the first". Cobra was quick to answer back this time "go ahead it will be the trial run" this time the radio turns off for good. Lina goes to the other guy who is still knocked out and she pulls out the same syringe but the fluid looks slightly different.

She puts it through the same holes he already had in his neck then pulls it out and slips the instrument back into her sleeves. I pretend to finish up my conversation at this point so I can head back in there, I see her continue to observe the same guy. I choose then to slowly walk back into the room.

She looks up at me "is everything ok" I nod "just Talia wanting to talk about some new missions" she nodded "I should get going to Cobra now, I hope everything goes well with these two men and that our scientists arrive quickly to help out".

I smiled lightly "I hope so too" she gave me a smile as well making me roll my eyes in my head 'fake, dirty liar'. She gets up and behind to walk towards me so I put up a translucent barrier so she can't stick me even if she tried. Once she walked out I went to take a closer look at the guy she gave a dose of something new.

I examined the same mark for any new chemical substances and found one new mixture. I looked closer and concentrated my magic to see the former chemical mixture I was seeing and compared it to the new addition. "One triggers the next" I pull away and store the names of the chemicals in my head to research them later.

I walk out to go and look for Talia and the others and as I make my way to the throne room I come across Jordan with Lina now and they are talking quietly amongst themselves. 'Thought she said she was meeting with cobra' I shook my head and took cover to listen in once again with enhanced hearing.

"Did you spend any more time with the prince's girl" I scoffed in my head 'I am not his girl' Jordan sighed "no not since we trained, it's hard to find her around unless it's somewhere that's occupied with a large group of people or the prince is with her" Lina rubbed her temples "we need to keep her occupied or our whole plan could go up in smoke". I smirked 'aww they are worried about little old me' Jordan looked at her confused "she seems like I nice girl how bad could she screw up our operation".

Lina bent down to his height "she is the second hand to the demon head and has the prince wrapped around her finger and has friendly chats with the daughter like their old friends. She will report anything she sees if we slip up, she will defend them and we have no idea of her capabilities". I was impressed since she does have a point, I will report everything "ok I guess I will try to figure out more of her fighting style" Lina smiles before they both look around and walk away.

I make sure they are far enough so I can come from my hiding spot before making my way to the library to try and find a book that will tell me more about this new chemical they have added to the old one. All the books we were once reading were gone, meaning Zak and Xavier must have put them away. Which is great we don't want the cobra and his family of snakes to find out we are on to them.

I pull out some of the previous books we had and compared them to the new one I found and it turns out I was correct about the relationship between the drugs they had inserted into the two men in the infirmary. The first one is triggered by the second one they have now infused into their blood system, what is weird about the second one is it stays in the bloodstream for months on end sometimes longer depending on the dosage.

I pulled my head out of both books and started to go through reasons why they are doing this in the first place, the league of assassins has done nothing to them in the past as far as I know. I also need to figure out what these two drugs mixed together will trigger in both men or any person that has them in their system. To do that I would need to figure out what Cobra's goal here is, I sigh and put both books away to make sure no one comes in here and stumbles across my research.

I walked out of the library looking as inconspicuous as possible in case any of the snakes were present, I continued to the throne room to find Ra's with Cobra. Luckily Cobra's back was facing me so I stayed hidden but made sure Ra's could see me before hiding myself around the corner. Ra's didn't look my way to communicate with me he knew I was there, a slight movement was his single he knew.

I took my place and checked my surrounding before activating my magic to see through the walls and keep an eye on Ra's in case Cobra tries to stick him with the double needle Lina had. I also make sure I can hear them right away so I don't miss anything. "I understand, how did this happen" I heard Corba reply "Lina does not know what happened, one moment she was sparing, and the next he seemed to be unconscious" I shook my head " of course, seems like there might be some pre-existing conditions there would be no other way to explain this event" I heard Corbra hum in agreement.

"He might have been affected during the previous attack and his side effects are just now taking place" I saw Ra's nod "seems so, we can not know how many were affected so we will have to take it one day at a time". I heard footsteps coming towards me so I put a barrier around me that made me appear invisible to anyone walking past.

I continued to watch and listen in as Corbra spoke again "my scientist should be here in two days, I just got confirmation". I saw Ra's nod "excellent we will be ready for them" Cobra nodded as well and walked out luckily going the opposite way from where I was hiding.

I waited until he was far enough before coming out and going into the throne room and Talia came in a few seconds after "father" I finally took down my barrier to make myself visible again. Talia looked shocked to see me "when-I just-" I gave her a small smile before turning to Ra's "I have news to report"
