i'm jeon jungkook

jungkook: [notices verona being shy]
come on, introduce yourself!
[drags her chair closer to his with a teasing happy smile]

verona: [sighs]
hi i'm verona! [friendly smile]

jungkook: [distracted by verona]
urm yes and ... what are we here to do baby?

verona: we are here to tell you the story about how we met [claps hands]

jungkook: it all started off because of me pursuing writing as a career [smiles fondly] i'm so glad i decided to write and not give up my passion for the hobby

jungkook: so i drafted a book that got attention i didn't expect [shrugs] which lead to me dropping out of education to become a writer full time. obviously, my parents weren't happy about it but i wasn't their favourite kid anyway

verona: [massages his shoulder] you're my favourite [whispers]

verona: and i was studying at university when i met jungkook for the first time
[catches him staring at her with a smile]

verona: sTOP

jungkook: what? you're beautiful

verona: cheesy

verona: yeah [claps hands]
i found out my favourite author ..
the JEON JUNGKOOK [fakes a surprised expression with wide eyes and gasps which makes jungkook laugh]
was coming to my town for a book signing !!!

jungkook: YAYAYAYAYAYA

verona: so i got ready and held my book in my
hands as i walked in the cold. it was foggy that day i remember!
i was the first one there, not knowing what to expect because i didn't even know what you looked like [tilts head]

jungkook: and now i'm the most beautiful man she's ever seen

verona: don't get cocky

jungkook: she was the first one at the signing, she was early so i was surprised and she came up to me with an approachable, friendly smile [smiles at verona who's smiling happily back at him]

verona: he asked me what my name was and then asked if i wrote

jungkook: [nods]
and verona replied with "yes but i never have time, it's not a full time thing"

verona: then he asked
"why do you write?"
and i thought- am i not supposed to be the one asking him that?

jungkook: [amused]
she had a nice answer actually
"i guess to grow as a person"
i could sense how nervous you were

verona: i then asked "what about you?"

jungkook: and i said [thoughtful] ...
"i have multiple reasons but that's definitely one of them"

verona: you were so nice and it hurt to hear you say that to be honest

jungkook: why? [curious]

verona: because let's be honest, people write because no one listens

jungkook: did you just expose all the writers out there ?????!!!!

verona: maybe ..

jungkook: [looks at camera] deadass savage

verona: then he said,
"i don't have a lot of friends who write so to meet another writer is nice.
thank you for coming, let's meet again and take care of yourself."
and you smiled that bunny smile and made me feel ever so appreciative

jungkook: did you fangirl about me [smirk]

verona: is that even a question? of course not [whispers] of course i fucking did

jungkook: then ... she found me on instagram

verona: wait a minute!
you're the one who found me on instagram, stop trying to hide the fact that you stalked me!

jungkook: i told you guys .. a savage

verona: i was surprised to see you posting poetry on your account because you were mainly known for your novels

jungkook: i tried something new and liked the way it turned out [grins]

verona: so i built up some courage, messaged him- thanking him [nudges boyfriend]
and he replied immediately

jungkook: we talked on there for a while, even having the deepest conversations about what it means to have a soulmate and we became a part of each other's everyday routine [kisses her cheek]

verona: [blushes]
and then he confessed, i remember exactly what you said!

jungkook: go on then [amused]

verona: [sweeps hair back dramatically]
"if it isn't already obvious, I like you."
[glances at jungkook with serious look
in her eyes]
"I never intended on liking you this way or this much and it's killing me. am I really doing this ?? yeah fuck I like you. and I never thought I would feel this way again yet here I am ?? I know you have a crush on someone else and it's okay !!"

jungkook: wait let me explain that real quick [laughs] we mentioned to each other that we're both crushing on someone right now but didn't say who

verona: [continues to act out her boyfriend] "because, I don't want this to affect what we have right now. our friendship is more important to me, you are. so I hope you understand.
this is just how I feel, I just had to let it out. I'd rather we just let it pass, these are my feelings and I'll deal with.
thank you my love."

jungkook: [falls off chair] wow you did it so well !! i'm so proud of you !! [high five]

verona: [stands up] THANK YOU THANK YOU

jungkook: [sits back on chair and places his hand on verona's lap]
i'm so glad i confessed because here we are today [happy happy]

verona: [interlocks his hand with hers, sliding her thumb across the back of his]
and our long distance relationship ended when we moved in together,
in America a year later where our pets, our safe space became everything we needed to have a happy ever after.
