"Can I ask you a personal question Ari?" Lucas asked me suddenly.

We had been working on the project for a couple of hours and my father was on him way to pick me up.

"I guess" I replied with a strug writing down a couple of notes about what he had said earlier. Mostly his opinions on soulmates while I've avoided giving my opinion for now.

"What it's like to have to live with a curse?" I was kind of shocked when he asked it but I was planning to give him an honest answer.

"It's very lonely for me. You become an outcast at birth and everyone knows who you are since the government have to tell the public when a curse child is born. But the curse itself is okay mine isn't the worst in the world" I stated in a clear tone as he nodded at points.

"So what is you curse? I mean if you wanna tell me because it's fine if you don't!" He stuttered making me giggle again.

Great all my tough girl attack is completely gone out the window or should I say off the roof.

Yes still thinking about that.

"I don't mind people knowing. I can hear people's opinions of me if I touched them in anyway" I shrugged "its lost me a lot of friendships before but I grown to endure it I guess"

I had glanced over at him to see his reaction but it just seemed to be in deep thought.

"So in the classroom. And on the roof and here!!! You heard everything that I was thinking!" He exclaimed loudly getting many annoyed looks from the people around us.

"Yeah. That's what I said isn't it?" I said in a dull tone. Mostly because I was tired.

He laugh "Yeah I guess I should expected that" his smile seemed to be getting bigger by the moment.

And every time I would brush his skin all I heard was

'She's great'

And it flustered me a little.

No still no stupid crush. I see all you shippers. 😉

Then a thought suddenly jumped into my head "So you were on tv or something?" I asked in curiosity.

He head seemed to look up in surprise. "Ha yeah my mum works for a broadcaster and she got me an audition for some teen drama thing and I had to act on it for 4 years" he said losing some of his bright smile.

"Then you came to our school?" I raised my eyebrow. To be honestly I was wondering why people weren't scream and asking for autographs. But honestly I think I like it better this way.

"Yeah something like that. I kind of got into a fight with my mum about it though..." his eyes saddened.

It made me feel guilty.

I felt like I had broken his smile.

So I did the first thing I though of. I touched him.

Well it wasn't like that I mean I hugged him tightly.

What else could I do? I mean we met this morning and he was already opening to me.

"Hey it'll be okay Lucas" keeping the connection tight. Looking up to his face and he was blushing bright pink.

And no he doesnt have a crush since his thoughts stayed the same. I'm sure he's sorry to dissappoint y'all as well but we're only human.

It was a short hug but I could tell that it ment a lot to him.

Before I knew it I was getting a text from my dad saying he was outside the library.

"I got to go" I said gathering my equipment and the peppers which we working on.

"Okay. I had a good time with you even though we had to work on this stupid project" he said smiling standing up so he could help me.

"Yeah I sort of enjoyed it too" I said back copying his smile. Wow that's something I haven't done in a while.

"We should do this again" he said holding out a folded piece of paper which I raised my eyebrow at. "It's my number you don't need to use it but I want you to have it" but why yeah I know we're 'friends' but I didn't think that he would want to talk to me more.

I slowly took it and placed it in my pocket smiling in reply.

"I'll see you tomorrow" I said before walking towards the entrance.

And yes I feel like I've lost all my no caring attitude now for now at least.

Hiya guys Tatty here I'm so sorry that this seems like a filler chapter and to be honestly I was planning another type of chapter but I need a plot point from this one to be ready and set up for me.

Also I am writing this in class so sorry if there are any mistakes. (P.s. I'm finished my work so I'm allowed)

Finally I wanted to know if you wanted long chapters or shorter chapters.
