"So" I started awkwardly rocking on my heels hoping to stop the silence. I was still scared and needed protection.

"What the hell was that!" He yelled not looking at me. His face was still red mostly likely out of anger. "What if I wasn't there in time! What if I decided not to help!!" He screamed.

"I'm sorry Lucas..." I looked down at the floor. Why was he so mad! I couldn't control what had happened.

"Why couldn't you protect yourself with your power!" He yelled again cleansing him fist into a ball.

"He was touching me... I can't use my power if my curse is active..." I said quietly. He was making me angry. "There was nothing I could have done!!! And don't want to be here don't let me stop you!" I turned to go leave.

He quickly grabbed my arm.

'She's amazing'

Nothing had changed, I guess he was just mad at everything.

"D...don't leave.... I don't want you to leave me" he said softly staring into my pale blue eyes.

He pulled me into a hug apologising for his harsh tones and speech.

"I'm sorry Ari" he said as he let go of me and smiled. His demeanour became happier "So wanna hang out?" He sang with a bright smile glued to his face.

"I don't know... I don't really want my mum knowing what happened so I guess we could hang out for a little" I replied. If my parents found out that the police refused to tell them they would be p-ed.

"Great, come on I know a nice café a couple of streets away" he said walking off making me follow.

This was weird, first he was super mad and violent then he was just mad and now he's a giddy kid? And I thought I had two personalities.

Secondly I've never hung out with a person on the weekends. And in this outfit. Yes I know it's just clothes but it doesn't feel like me.

I started walking towards him quickly.

"By the way you look kind of cute today" Lucas said with a wink. Jerk. I looked up at him with a pout "I'm serious Ari. But it's so unlike you" he said with a raised eyebrow.

"My clothes were in the wash..." I muttered

"Ha I should of figured" he laughed in his contagious laugh with got me giggling too. He looked down at me "You should really laugh some more" he moved a little quicker mumbling something.

"Hey I laugh plenty thank you" I court up to him. Why was talking such an ease it was like we had known each other for years. Tug.

"Sure" he rolled his eyes as we reached the café. Lucas opened the door holding it for me to enter. What the hell I have arms you know.

I reducantly walked through with crossed arms. But he was still smiling.

We sat down at a small table next to the window. It was foggy from the cold and had pine-cones and Autumn leaves piled around the frame.

"So what were you doing out. I thought weekends were your lone days" Lucas said quickly grabbing a menu.

"Yeah, my mum wanted me to do some errands for her and then I went to the store and then... You know..." I said head down finding my hands very interesting.

"Hey it's okay you don't have to talk about it, I'm with you and no one is going to hurt you" he said giving a supportive smile.

He was such a nice guy.

"Thanks but I still don't know why you stick around me" I said looking him in the eyes.

"That's an easy one. It's because I care about you alot" he smiled again.

"I care about you too" his eyes lit up. "I mean you're my first real friend and I'm grateful for everything you've done for me" I smile at him.

We had finished taking are orders everything seemed normal.

Well until the waitress didn't leave.

"Errrm are you Lucas White by any chance?"

Hiya guys sorry this chapter was pretty short I really wanted to get this chapter put but wasn't sure where I wanted it to go.

The next chapter will be longer but for now I'm hope you're okay with this.
