"Ari" Said a soft male whisper. "Ari time to wake up" he said shaking me a little.

My eyes slow slid open revealing a fluffy grey jumper rubbing against my cheek. "What's up" I said looking up the jumper.

Lucas face was looking down at me with sleepy but adorable eyes. "Hiya sleeping beauty" he said quietly.

"Hiya Phillip" I replied shifting a little. I was laying onto of him so I was careful on were I put things such as my knees.

Lucas let out a soft chuckle making his chest rise and fall at pace.

"What's so funny?" I questioned rubbing the sleep from my eyes as I looked up at him again.

"Ari, were you just saying that I'm your Prince" Crap! I didn't meaning it to come out like that. He was just messing around and I thought I would join in since I was only half awake.

He must have seen my panicked expression as he just smiled and patted my hair. I could feel his warmth against my skin as his eyes looked at me affectionately. His brown eyes shone like the clearest of night skies and they drew me in.

"You could be a Prince if you wanted" I said still staring into his beautiful eyes. Okay it was clear now I hadn't fully woken up.

Lucas started to chuckle once again. "I would prefer being a knight in shining armour. And save the princess" he brushed away a couple of stray hairs which had fallen in front of my face whist he was petting me.

"Who said anything about me being a princess" he stared at me with a blank expression eyes looking quite sad at my statement "I'd be a knight but I would save you if I had too" I said winking slyly at him.

We stayed in a comfortable silence until something clicked inside my brain. "What's the time?" Lucas grabbed his phone from beside him illuminating the screen revealing the numbers 16:34

My hold body shot up, making me accidentally elbowing Lucas' stomach.

"Sorry but we need to be at your's in less than an hour and neither of us are ready" he shot me a quick 'really' look as he got off the sofa.

"Looks like someone does care about this dinner" he had a cocky smirked glued to his face.

I muttered a small whatever and pushed him out the house said that I would see him in a hour.

Once he left I rushed upstairs, grabbing my mother from her office and asking her to help me get ready again.

What I was about to meet my crushes parents, acting as him girlfriend plus I was the only other person who knew their family secret when his step dad didn't even know.

God I feel myself growing more girly emotions by the minute, and it's gross.

Mum had found me out a white dress, gross another dress, and a pair of white trainers, in which surprisingly I was fine wearing.

She pulled my hair up into a bun, using clips and grips to keep it up right.

Once she was done I had around 20 minutes to get to his home before I was counted as late.

Me and Lucas had already decided that we were going to walk, since he wanted to walk me home.

So I said a thank you and good bye to both of my parents and started walking through the peaceful streets and to the address which I was given last night.

Once there the first thing I noticed was his home was massive and heavily guarded, it has a wall and a speaker intercom thing plus I could of sworn I heard the growls of a German shepherd.

I let out a shaky breath I didn't know I was holding in and rang the door bell on the gate.

"Hello, this is the white residents. Please state your purpose" Rude, the intercom questioned.

"I'm here for dinner, Mrs white invited me" I stated at the speaker as a small Buzz was heard and the large gold gate open and a clear pathway to the front door was revealed.

I carefully walked down it looking around the large plot of land see the guard dog I was hearing.

I stopped to look at the dog, she was adorable. Well she was before she ran at me fast.

Before I knew it I was knocked to the ground and had puppy kisses over my face.

"Penny heal!" I sharp female voice called from the now opened door. Standing there was a tall women with a slim fitting black dress on and a pearl necklace dangling just above her collarbone. I quickly got up assuming this was Lucas' mother.

"Hello miss, I'm Iris white, Lucas' mother. I apologise for penny's behaviour" the women said bowing her head.

"Oh it's quite alright, No one got just so everything is fine. Oh I'm sorry for my rambling I'm Arianna Ember-wood" I said playing with a strand of head before placing it behind my ear.

"Yes Lucas has told us about you. But he never mention how pretty his girlfriend was" I wanted to explain that I wasn't his girlfriend but I soon remembered, right now I was.

"Why thank you Mrs white I'm honoured that you think so" ewwww I sounded so freaking posh.

She then invited me in and guided me to the winning table where the rest of her mixed family was waiting.

Lucas looked at me and immediately blushed standing up to guide me to a seat which was next to him.

Mr white welcomed me and gave me giant smiles every time I spoke to him.

Ethan was looking really confused as he knew the truth about mine and Lucas' relationship but was pressured by his brother to shut it.

"So how long have you two been together?" Iris asked me curiously taking a bite of the food which was just served.

I said a small thank you to the server and replied "not long honestly, a couple of months but I've honestly enjoyed your son's company a lot" she smirked and continued with the questions.

"Why his company?" She asked.

I looked down at the plate and then to Lucas under the table we were holding hand and he was giving me reassuring squeezes.

"You see I'm not sure if Lucas mentioned the fact that I'm cursed or not but since I was curse many people were scared of me or judge me because of my curse. Lucas was the first person whom offered me a true friendship and ever since then I'mjust happy if he's around" I admited to her giving a weak smile to Lucas.

Dinner went on more questions were being fired making me extremely nervous, an emotion I bearly felt.

And after dinner things got worse as Iris took me and Lucas into another room alone and sat us down to talk.

"I want you too to break up" she stated bluntly. I was shocked, disappointed, sad, confused there were so many unexplained emotions.

"Why mother! Give us one valid reason for us to break up!" He yelled raising his voice a little.

"Because I refuse to have cursed grandkids! You're not her soul mate and you both know it" she yelled back at him before turning towards me.

"Arianna, you've seen how the world treats people like you. And let's say you two ended up together you would be putting your own children through that pain. So my suggestion is that you two break up now you go to your soul mate and get with him" she was firm with her tone and spoke as if she knew how to hurt me.

"With all due respect Mrs white, I could only disagree, making me go to someone in which I don't care for would be more damaging than raising cursed children. My parents raised me and I hope you'd agree that I came back pretty well" I was calm looking at her with sincere eyes.

I placed the palm of my hand on top of her'sin hope to convince her plus find out her opinion.

'She's a nice girl'

So she liked me but didn't want her son with me, okay controlling mother alert.

"Now if you'd excuse me I must be going now I promised my parents to be home by nine" I bowed my head and stood up and left holding onto Lucas' hand like I would never see him again if I let go.

Hiya guys I'ma not dead.

Yeah I kind of went to Cuba for a couple of weeks forgetting about finishing this chapter. Sorry about that but right now I'm stuck at the airport since my flight back to England was delayed by 4 hours meaning I'm bored out of my mind.

But it gives me time time to write more chapters before I get on an 8 hour flight writing more chapters. Plus my friend has asked me if I could help her put with one of her stories.

You see she has fallen out if love of writing but still enjoys coming up with the worlds and art for them so I suggested that I would help with the writing if she continued drawing illustrations.

So if you wanna see that please let me know (p.s it's set in medieval times not modern)

Anyhow regarding this book I wanted to let you know we are at the half way mark for chapters. When I say that I mean there are still going to be small side stories that I won't count as proper chapters but will still be cannon. Like the meet Lucas side story I did not too long ago.
