Today is my first day in a new highschool. You would think that I'm scared, but I'm not, since I've been the "new kid" countless times, and this one wasn't any different......or so I thought.

First, let me explain. My mom's a telecommunication engineer and that makes her and us ( me and my dad) travel a lot. I'm from Boston, but I've been all over the country.... Except for LA, which was kind of scary but like I said, I'm used to it. Besides, I'm about to finish school which means this is my last change.

As soon as I enter, I see this guy with a silvery - lilac hair making out with who I can  assume is his girlfriend. She was a little shorter than him and had blonde hair. I had no idea I was staring at them until the guy opened his eyes without separating his lips from the hers. He had greenish/blueish eyes, and I can swear I've seen those eyes before, but I've met hundreds of people from all over the country so I just let it go. I gave him a weird look and walked away; I wanted to go to my locker, but before getting there, I realized it was next to that girl and his boyfriend so I just left for class. I arrived to Biology really early since I didn't stop in my locker. The room was completely empty except for the teacher. He greeted me and asked me if I was the new kid. I said I was, so he asked me to wait by his desk because he wanted to introduce me. I agreed because I kind of love being the center of attention. The bell rang and class started.

"Good morning folks, let me introduce you to our new student, Daniel Preda" I was waving my hand when suddenly the same guy I saw earlier sprinted in to the room.

"Joseph!" Said the teacher " late again?"
He gave him a shameful grin while he mouthed the word "sorry" and walked to his seat. The teacher kept talking for a few minutes and then signaled me to seat next to "Joseph". He started to look at me but I just ignored him; I was concentrating so hard on my task of ignoring him that I didn't realize the teacher was calling me.

"What?" I said. In the corner of my eye I could see Joseph was giggling, but I was trying to listen to what Mr Adams was asking me to do, so I once again ignored him.

"Can you read out loud page 51 of your book?"

Crap! I left my book in my locker...... I wasn't going to tell him that it was outside, so I thought of saying "I haven't bought it yet...." Everyone gave me a funny look except for Joseph who for some reason couldn't stop giggling.

"Oh....I see, why don't you share Joseph's book? He seems to be enjoying the class" with this words, the silver-headed boy stopped giggling and started to stare at me with mild horror in his eyes. I moved closer to him and started reading.... But I was unable to concentrate because I felt his eyes burning into me, so I made a mistake.

Everyone was laughing, including Joseph, but as soon as he saw how ashamed I was he tried to stop. The rest of the class was boring as hell until Mr Adams said to form pairs for a project.  Joseph looked at me and said "I guess we're together" I sighted and said "I guess we are...."

I (yeah, not we) started to work while Joseph did some stuff on his phone. We didn't speak at all, but that was fine because he didn't seem that friendly. The bell rang and Joseph's eyes widened as he saw all the work I did; I can tell he felt kind of guilty because he left me alone to work so he said:

"If you want, I can take it home and finish it by myself!" He said with his high- pitched voice. Although I was tired and I didn't want to have homework, Joseph didn't look like someone responsible enough to hand it in time, so I just said "don't worry, it's fine, I'll finish it"

"But I feel bad though..." He said frowning a little.

"It's okay, I love working at home" (NO I FREAKING DON'T)

"okay nerd" he said giggling a little. I know he wasn't trying to diss me when he said that, yet I felt kind of awkward because I DON'T FREAKING LIKE HOMEWORK, WHO DOES? NOT ME AT LEAST!

"why don't you go, there seems to be a blonde girl waiting for you at the door!" I said with a weak smile so that he felt everything was fine.

"Oh my freaking gosh, you're so nice! Thanks" with that, he ran to the door and hugged the girl. They started to walk away; he had his arm around her and she was laying her head on his shoulder.
I rolled my eyes and walked away.
