Every time you blink, you see out of your soulmates eyes. When both of your eyes are closed you see black. You know you're together when you blink and all you see is yourself.

This could be used as someone could write something and stare at it to give a message, you could guesstimate their time zone by sleep(for most), you could see if there are any familiar structures or people through their eyes.
