Siddharth's POV

"Point 1, the painting is like lakhs of year old, yet the material has not been degraded," Anjali began her analysis, "Point 2, strangely, WE both are able to read and understand a language which we have never come across.... I don't know which is worse..." She seemed very frustrated with these discoveries. I too felt the same. Like...how on earth was I able to understand a language I did not even know..?

"Probably..its the old script of Telugu..." I said, trying to lighten the situation. "Ohh...an old script of Telugu....!!! Seriously... IF there was anything like that then why weren't we taught about it??!" She almost shrieked. In answer, I made her a hot cup of tea, trying to calm her down.

After gluing my eyes to the screen for hours, I switched off the computer. There was no sign of this language anywhere. Suddenly, a thought struck me like thunderbolt. This was probably a brand new piece of discovery! The language, the material used for painting, everything seemed so different! I could already smell the fragrance of victory.

When I turned, I saw the most adorable sight. She had fallen asleep, her huge book pillowing her. I inched close as I moved her strands of hair from her moonlit face. Making sure she was asleep, I gently kissed her forehead. And to my biggest surprise, she smiled!

Anjali's POV

I woke up to find myself cozily locked in his arms. Shocked to death, as a reflex action, I checked if all my clothes were on me! The later moments were followed by myself condemning my sick thoughts. "Think practically dumb head!" I hitting my forehead. I tried waking him up but he turned opposite, covering the warm blanket from head to toe.

It was 7 when he came out of his dream sleep. He freshened up and made cups of tea for himself and me. How sweet! We packed our bags and left to the mysterious cave.

Passing through that narrow opening, we again found ourselves collecting the strips of wooden paper. The verses were beautifully written.

It was time to explore the ship now. We already had dropped the idea of climbing it as it was too high. For our luck, we had discovered a little entrance blocked by a door. There were six short lines parallel to each other. It was some kind of a key perhaps.

We concluded that we couldn't open that door as there was no sign of anything fitting it. When we went behind the structure, eyeing some rusted iron rods, Sid crept, careful not to trip on them. A moment later, he took out a majestic bow. The two arms, were made of gold, and it still hasn't lost its lustre. However, the middle part had become smooth over the years, completely hiding the beautiful carvings on it. Next, he took out those 'rods' which were actually the long, heavy but rusted arrows. They too had a unique shape. It was so artfully made that even now, it could pierce anyone to death. An idea struck me as I handled the arrows with care. Taking three in my hand and asking him to bring the other three, I came back to the entrance of the ship.

Siddharth's POV

She carefully studied the geometry of the arrows and that of the lines. Delicately, she pierced one arrow head into the opening. It fit perfectly! We had found the key! I joined her and we were successful in inserting all the six arrows. But to our utter disappointment, the door did not budge. We removed the arrows and retied placing them, this time changing the order.

Suddenly she got up. "Bring the bow!" She commanded. I, at a moment got confused but let her take the leadership.

"We need to insert them all together..." She looked at me. I saw a strange glint in her eyes. She was not the same chirpy girl...she was different. But that didn't stop me from throwing a big "What!!???" at her.

A moment later, I found her, glued to my chest. I had three arrows in between my fingers and so did she. We shared the same bow as "Clunk!!!" all the arrows sprang in unison, the aim perfect. Before I wondered when the hell did I learn Archery, the door slowly opened, the arrows still stuck.
