Knock Knock

Frisk was pulling me the entire way back to Snowdin. I was prohibited from teleportation until Alphys gave me the complete okay on my condition. That also meant I couldn't teleport with Sans or even summon my bonehead dogs. The river guide was happy to give us a ride from the Hotlands so it was shorter than I thought.

I put my feet in the water as the boat sailed smoothly. Papyrus, Sans and Frisk were the only people who rode with me, the others not wanting to overload it. Frisk kicked in the water with me while Sans snoozed behind us. Papyrus spoke happily to the guide as we went along.

Giggling, Frisk splashed the water around, getting some on me. "Watch it Frisk, them's fightin' splashes." I teased in a mock western accent.

He looked at me a moment, and giggled, kicking more water at me. I peered at the child through merciless eyes and stripped away my jacket. Throwing it on Sans, I cupped my hands and threw it at Frisk. He squealed as the water hit my mark and his sweater was soaked. Retaliating quickly, he scooped his own hands in the water and soaked me.

Sans watched passively as we fought valiantly with handfuls of water. "Heh, you two are aware we're going to Snowdin right?" He said nonchalantly.

"What of it?" I asked.

He grinned. "The water's gonna freeze to ya." He said simply and closed his eyes.

Frisk stopped splashing instantly. "Oh," he whispered. "Well then..."

I snickered and pulled him away from the water. "Don't sweat it Nugget, I won't let ya freeze."

He smiled at me and put his head on my lap. The boat arrived soon after, and Frisk walked wobbly off. I rolled my eyes and took my jacket from Sans, wrapping it securely around Frisk. "Cherry, I don't need it. Take your jacket." Frisk chattered.

"It's fine Frisk. I barely feel the cold anyway. You need it more than me." I replied.

The part about me not feeling the cold was a blatant lie. It was so cold my hair was freezing in place. But despite the cold bite, I bundled Frisk tightly and hoisted him up on to my hip. He tried wiggling away but couldn't get out of my grasp. "Cherry, you suck." Frisk pouted.

I grinned at him. "Yeah, I do."

He rolled his eyes and let me carry him. I shook from the cold but my steady walk from the river to the house covered it easily. About halfway, I felt something fall on my shoulders and then wrapped around my neck. I looked down and saw Sans's jacket over my shoulders with Papyrus's red scarf wrapped around my neck.

I sent the two an appreciative look and continued the trip home with considerably less shivers. As soon as the door to the house opened, I was met with a blast of heat. I sighed immediately and plopped Frisk into a car, I myself falling on to the couch.

"Cherry, I thought you weren't cold?" Frisk said, gesturing towards the coat and scarf.

"I lied."

"But now I feel guilty!"

I stuck my tongue out at him and twisted around on the couch so my head hung off the edge and my legs went over the back of it.

"HUMAN! YOU ARE SITTING WRONG!" Papyrus exclaimed.

"No, you've just been doing it wrong." I countered. "Right Frisk?"

I looked at Frisk and he smiled. Flipping in his chair, he now mimicked my position. "Yeah Papyrus, I've just been sitting like that to make it easier for you."

Sans looked at us and chuckled. "I guess they got ya bro."

"BUT SANS, YOU SIT THE SAME WAY AS I!"

"Well, I've known how they normally sit, we've been waiting for you to catch on."

Papyrus slapped his hands on either side of his head and made a gasp of horror. "OH NO! I'VE BEEN SITTING WRONG ALL THIS TIME!" Papyrus cried.

Sans shrugged and patted Papyrus on the back. "It's okay Paps, mistakes are made."

Papyrus fell to his knees. "NO DEAR BROTHER, I SHALL FIX WHAT I HAVE WRONGED!!!"

In one sailing motion, Papyrus flipped on to the couch, landing roughly but quickly adjusting to our position. "I SHALL SIT HERE UNTIL EVERY HOUR I SAT INCORRECTLY WITH THE HUMANS IS AVENGED!"

"Um... Papyrus" Frisk said.

"WORRY NOT HUMAN! I WILL RECONCILE!"

I rolled out of the position and laughed. "Relax Papyrus, we're just pulling your leg. We don't really sit like that. I'm just weird."

Papyrus looked at me and blushed. "OH! UH, THIS MIGHT BE A BIT AWKWARD! I AM ACTUALLY STUCK..." He admitted, twisting in place.

Sans fell over laughing. "Wow Paps, smooth move."

"SANS HELP ME!"

"But you look so humerus!"

Papyrus groaned and flipped out, resulting in tumbling to the ground. "SANS, I HATE YOU!" Papyrus cried.

"Love you too bro." Sans said, winking at him mockingly.

I giggled. "Fontcest though..." I sighed, looking at the ceiling.

About now I'd be on my phone looking dully at Wattpad FanFiction or skimming over my Undernet, but my items kinda burned in the lava.

"What's Fontcest?" Sans asked.

I looked at him and blushed. "You heard me?" I asked.

"Yeah, so what is it?"

I faked a laugh and avoided eye contact. "Ya know curiousity killed the cat." I stated blandly.

"But satisfaction brought it back." Sans replied.

"I thought it was my love that brought me back." I challenged.

"Are you calling yourself a cat?" Sans asked.

I shrugged. "You never know. After all, I have been feline catty lately."

Sans cracked a smirk and Frisk giggled. "That pun was absolutely purrfect."

"I'd be lion if I said I disagreed with you."

Frisk snickered madly as we both battled with puns. Half an hour later, I was void of anymore puns. "Okay, fine.
You win oh mighty lord of puns." I rolled my eyes and faked a bow.

"Ah ha! I win... Now explain Fontcest."

Sans regretted forcing me to explain. "That's worse than the Sherry lemons." Sans muttered.

"NO IT'S NOT! Everyone ships you as cute brothers, not fuck buddies!"

"Oooo, Cherry said a bad word." Frisk teased.

I stuck my tongue out at him and he ran into the kitchen before I could retaliate anymore than that.

I settled back into the couch and looked at the ceiling. "Okay, I'm bored again." I said shortly.

Sans chuckled and took my hand. "Come on, I needed to talk to you anyway." He said.

"Oh? About what?"

He led me to his room and closed the door behind him. Taking his desk chair, I spun around towards him and rested my chin on my palms. "Ask away." I prompted.

"Okay, it's only one question really but I'm sure I can keep you talking." Sans grinned.

"Shoot."

He sat on the bed, facing me. "I wanted to ask you about this Error guy."

My face fell and I sat back in the chair. I didn't feel like I would get in trouble for seeing the guy but I knew he put Sans on edge, based on his prior reaction with Alphys.

"Oh, him." I said solemnly, and sighed. "He was really weird." I started.

"Weird how?" Sans pressed.

"Well first off, he looked like a version of you that went bad. Black skin, red error signs all over his body, only primary colors on his entire body. He scared the shit outta me the time I met him."

"Did he do you any harm of any kind?" Sans asked.

I shook my head. "Not at all. He told me a few things and led me to my own reset."

"What'd he tell you?"

I didn't answer immediately. "Tibia honest, I was kinda scared when he explained it to me." I said softly. "He explained everything about me that I needed to know, then told me the consequences of my two choices.

He started off by explaining me. According to Error, I'm a glitch."

"A glitch?" Sans raised a 'brow.'

I nodded. "Yep, I'm literally one of nature's one in a thousand lifetime fuck-ups. My whole 'soulless' thing was an error. In Error's words, I'm a 'glitch to the system.' He didn't say it, but I think he would have destroyed me if I hadn't 'become an important part' to this world."

"You say that like you didn't know." Sans said, almost sounding disappointed.

"Didn't know I was a glitch? Well I knew I was fucked up but I-"

"That's not what I meant. You're talking like you didn't know you're important to us." Sans frowned.

I laughed nervously. "Yeah, still getting used to the feels." I admitted, my hand reached back behind my neck. "Well anyways, I've become a larger part in this world's timeline so Error helped me. Well that and the fact that I have a soul now. I'm on the same level as Frisk I think."

"Did Error say anything else, like what your purpose was here, or maybe a hint to something?"

I mulled it over and shook my head. "Nope, but now I have a question."  I chirped.

"Um. Okay, ask away."

"Who is Error?" I asked, looking over at Sans.

His posture stiffened and his hands turned into fist, even if only for a few seconds. That's two tells. "I don't know." He said, sounding more harsh than before.

"That's three tells Blue Boy, spill."

"What tells? There's nothing to spill." Sans said quickly.

"Four now. Stiffening up, clutching your fist, speaking harshly, and now speaking quickly. Tell me, who is Error?"

Sans looked at me and sighed. "Error is... A brother of sorts..."

I raised a brow. "Of sorts?"

Sans nodded. "So you know about resets and all that. Well, there's also different AU's, alternate universes, containing different versions of the original timeline."

"Which one is the original?" I asked.

"Actually, we're lucky. Since ours, Undertale, is the first."

"So there's AU's based off of this world. Does that mean there are copies of us running around in other universes?"

Sans nodded. "Based on what you've told me, I'm gonna guess Error is another me." Sans concluded.

"You sound like you didn't know about him." I observed.

"I didn't."

I paused. "Wait, then who told you about AU's and all that stuff." I asked.

"I learned about it when I worked with Gaster. Before Frisk and Snowdin, Gaster was the head royal scientist. Alphys and I both worked with him."

"Why didn't anyone ever tell me?" I pouted.

"Never came up." Sans shrugged.

I rolled my eyes and turned back to the topic. "So Error is another version of you, but other than him there is still thousands of other you's?" I asked.

Sans nodded. "And thousands of other me's?" I asked.

"Yeah, but I don't have a clue who you are to the other AU's. Error said you were a glitch, so that means something went wrong somewhere that led to you being where you are now. We may never even meet in a majority of the timelines."

I faked a look of drama. "Oh No! What a dastardly fate!"

Sans snickered. I put a hand over my mouth as I giggled. An eerie feeling told me I left something out but I shrugged it off. This felt right.

"Hey Cherry?" Sans said, breaking the silence.

"What's up Sans?" I asked.

His cheekbones turned blue. "Uh, well I was wondering... Um, well... You can love now and all so..."

I nodded along, not sure where it was going. Sans went quiet and I smiled. "Yeah. Since I have a soul and all the requirements of a monster, I can find myself someone and finally fulfill my plans."

Grinning I looked at Sans and my heart skipped a beat. Blushing, I broke eye contact. "I guess I'll have to start with dating soon. I mean, I am twenty. I'd better get moving for my first boyfriend."

Sans's eyes widened. "You've never dated anyone."

I gave him a look saying 'Are-you-really-surprised?-I-physically-couldn't-love' look. "Well duh. Parents died and I was on my own remember?"

Sans's laughed nervously and looked anywhere but my eyes. "Heh, uh, knock knock." He said.

I raised a brow but played along. "Who's there?"

"Tibia."

"Tibia who."

"Tibia your first boyfriend would be a huge honor if you'd let me." Sans said shakily.

My face erupted in fire, at least I'm guessing. My palms felt sweaty and my heart pounded against my chest. My stomach felt like it was full of fuzz and butterflies. It was amazing.

Grinning, I replied. "I can't fibula. I really like the sound of that."

It hadn't been that long that I'd felt love, but I knew this was it. Sans took a moment and then burst out into a grin and laugh. I threw myself at him and knocked him over with a hug.

Sans laughed as I hugged him tightly. I pulled away a few seconds and looked at the deepening blue on his face. My face matched his in saturation. Suddenly I felt his face against my own. I looked in awe as he pressed his teeth against my lips. Though he had no lips, the illusion of them was still there, catching me off guard.

Sans pulled back, blushing even more. "I'm sorry! I got carried away and-"

I smirked and tackled him, both of us falling to the ground. I straddled the section between his ribs and pelvis. As he got over his daze, I pressed my lips against his teeth. He stiffened but then melted into the kiss, deepening it.

We kissed until the creak of Sans' door alerted us to new arrivals. I pulled away and looked towards the doorway, Sans doing the same. Using his magic, Sans swung the door open completely and a loud thud alerted us of our stalkers.

"Oh my beautiful bottom!" Mettaton groaned, rubbing his bottom.

Frisk squeaked and retreated away from the door. Undyne was still dazed from the fall, but she soon adopted a blush. As I looked over the three in awe, a flash snapped me out of my daze. Mettaton had snapped a picture of the two of us.

"~FOR THE FANS!" He chanted, running from the room.

"Mettaton use Cherry's account!" Frisk added as he watched Mettaton go.

Undyne sat up and laughed. "Toriel owes me now. Look at you getting it on with the skeleton."

I blushed madly and rolled off of Sans. My face was hidden behind Papyrus's scarf and shadowed by the hood of Sans's jacket.

I felt an arm around me and Sans chuckled. "You're cute when you're flustered." He cooed.

"Sans shush! Alphys will use that for fanfiction!" I hissed.

Undyne laughed again and hooped up. "Oh, by the way, dinner's ready." She announced.

When she left I rolled my eyes. "She couldn't have said that without two helpers?" I groaned.

Sighing, I stood up. "Come on. I'm hungry now."

"Help me up." Sans instructed.

"No!" I retorted. "You can do it yourself."

"Yeah but I don't want to."

I rolled my eyes and left the room. "Bye lazy bones!" I teased.

"But Cheeeerrrryyy...." Sans complained.

I walked briskly to the kitchen to see my most immediate friends in the kitchen. Papyrus and Toriel were finishing setting the table. Undyne, Frisk and Mettaton were all examining their loot from the walk-in. Alphys was in the pantry, reaching for something. I walked over to her and tapped her shoulder. After jumping like a cat, she looked at me and smiled.

"H-Hey Cherry! What's up?" Alphys greeted.

"I just wanted to help you with whatever you're reachin' for." I offered.

"Oh! T-Thank you! It's the wine glasses." She said gratefully.

I plucked them from the shelf and set them on the counter. "What's the occasion?" I asked.

"W-Well you woke up today! I thought m-maybe it was time I tried my really old wine to celebrate. And also my OTP is cannon today."

My eyes widened. "NALU IS CANNON!" I shouted in excitement.

"N-No! I'm not that far. I mean Sherry!"

I blushed madly and Alphys grinned. "It's so cute!" She squealed.

"Yeah, she is."

Arms snaked around my waist and I gasped. Alphys looked between us and smiled. "I-I just realized how close you were in height." She teased.

I looked over at Sans and down at myself, frowning. "Write it down Alphys..." I groaned.

"W-What?! What happened?" She asked.

"I'm shorter." I grumbled.

Alphys giggled and Sans own laugh shook against my back. "I like you shorter. You're easier to kiss." Sans purred.

He placed a kiss on the crook of my neck, sending chills through my body. Squirming slightly, I looked back at Sans. "Not here!" I nagged. "How did you go from being flustered about this to showing me off like we've been a thing for years?"

He shrugged. "You make me more confident."

I blushed, but couldn't hide my grin. "CHERRY, SANS, IT IS TIME TO EAT!" Papyrus announced.

"Come child, you need to get some proper food in you." Toriel chirped.

A waft of the smell fell over me and my mouth watered. Almost instantly appearing in a seat, I started piling my plate.

"You hungry?" Sans teased.

"Fuck yeah!" I hollered, biting aggressively into a baked potato.

"Language!" Toriel snapped.
