Slowly drifting away,
My drive to share my thoughts,
Yet I'm back here today,
With a glimpse of something I caught

You see time makes you reflect,
On the choices and words you choose,
And that sign I won't neglect,
I'll accept it and follow the rules

For God gave me these tools,
To comfort me when I'm down,
I was blind, I was a fool,
So I chose to dust off my crown

To deliver the message I'm given,
Each day that I draw breath,
That's the words in me like prisms,
I retract light out of myself,

Showing you what I'm feeling,
Through the simple things that I say,
You may never accept the vision,
But I'm sharing things my way

So whether you understand or not,
I refuse to hold this within,
Let the soul in me rot,
Then spill with this here pen

I'll accept that this is my calling,
No matter how much I deny,
I'll save one life from falling,
While revealing the truth through my eye.
