From the day that I was born I wanted to be your shadow,
Follow in your footsteps but quickly found out you were shallow,

Because I don't respect the fact that all you do is play games,

I want a role model to look up to a man to teach me the rules,
Sit me down at the table as if I was studying at school,
Tell me women are our queens but some aren't worth your tools,
Get to know the woman inside and that's what I plan to do,

I want you to teach your kids the way that I'm teaching you,
Be in their life no matter what, that difference is a hidden jewel,
Be understanding and supportive never hurtful and cruel,
That's what being a man is about fighting to stay in groove,

Be the husband that she needs listen when she is speaking,
Strengthen your bond on the daily and never let it weaken,
Give her massages, run her bubble baths, cook and let her believe in,
The love that you hold for her as you transition through the seasons,

That's why I'm your father, your architect, and your author,
Heed the words I speak and you're almost certainly go farther,
Never be a dead beat or a cheater it's not worth the bother,
And I hope this advice I've just given helps you grow up smarter.
