I've been known to come across sarcastic,
Dry,
Like I really don't care,
Because the reality is I don't

I've battled demons my whole life,
Night after night, fight after fight,
Built a wall so high that not even an olympians could climb,
Yet you think your feeble words hold meaning,

They don't,
I'm numb to your harsh tone,
For I've heard things worse,
I've learned to become deaf to your ignorance

Because you can't judge what you don't know,
Have you walked in my shoes,
Felt my pain,
Lived my life, cried when it rained,

Fought through my struggles,
Wanted to end your life,
Feeling like you had no worth to anyone,
For if you haven't who are you to talk

I don't care how I appear,
What you think of me doesn't register,
It's who I know I am,
The heart that I possess

The goals I plan to reach,
Failure is the only thing,
That can derail what I've fought hard to establish,
Not you and your words,

So go on with your life,
And I'll keep living mine,
I just ask you this one thing,
Keep your opinion because it honestly means nothing to me.
