Humility
If I stripped you of worldly possessions would it finally teach you humility,
What it feels like to be human while others struggle and starve,
For you've never been at the bottom you've always shined with the stars,
While you live your life of luxury with your designers and cars
Would it teach you to be grateful for the people you don't know,
The ones stuck at the bottom with no room to grow,
The ones trapped in the dark with no room to glow,
And you turn your nose up when you see them with no hope
Let's put your back against the ropes would you understand how it feels,
To sleep on the cold ground as your body shivers from chills,
Would you understand what it's like to be denied a decent meal,
Yet appreciate the people that try to help you for real
Not step on your neck like you've been known to do,
Would you be able to take that treatment and not feel blue,
Not have any place to go and have people not hear you,
For you're not amongst their stature you're lowly you fear truth
Would you finally know humility you sad broken vessel,
Would you realize that your wealth doesn't make you special,
It only makes you more compotent to dance with your devils,
And never know what it's like to relate to the lower levels.
Get some humility.
