The Vision invader(Sans perspective)
((Feel free to play the music at any time!))
While that's all fun and good, a lot of weird shit's been goin on lately. Seems like everywhere I go, I am getting these weird visions. Visions I don't even get. They're always too damn bright for me to make anything out. All I can see is a dark silhouette standing in front of a large beam of lights , then they turn around and say something. I always wake up just as they do. I think I hear them crying, yet I can't make out their gender. So it could be anyone. Their sobs sorta sounded masculine. But there's no way to be sure. I try reaching out to them sometimes, but once my arms in the air I come back to reality with someone staring at me.
"D-doctor Sans? Are you o-okay?" I told her not to call me that... Ugh.
I blink. "Eh? What was that Alph? "
Behind me, stands a yellow dinosaur like monster, about a head shorter than me, she adjusts her glasses, clutching onto a clipboard.
"Y-you were doing that thing again."
"What thing?" I lower my arm and stuff my hands into my coat pockets.
" You know w-what I'm talking about. That thing where your pupils disappear and you start reaching into the air for something.H-have you told Gaster about it?"
"Yea, but he, nor I, know what the hell's goin on."
"N-Neither of you know?"
"Nah, probably not important anyway." I grab a pen, poke it into my lab coat pocket, and start walking towards Gaster's office, knowing that Alphys would have sent me to him anyways.
"Seriously, Sans! This isn't a joke! F-for all we know it could be a bad omen!"
"Since when, Dr.Alphys, have my crazy visions been a bad omen?"
"Gosh Sans... I-I don't know. It's just.. You skeletons h-have always had unexplainable magic... You know? Some say that you guys can s-see the future. I was thinking, maybe it's true-"
"Stop that Alphys. I'm not seeing the future. That isn't possible." I paced in front of the door and laughed a bit before taking hold of the handle.
"Where did you even hear that crazy shit?"
"D-Doctor Gaster said-"
Just as I began to turn the handle, a tall skeleton wearing a long white lab coat burst through the door, slamming into my skull and sending me to the ground.
"Well speak of the devil... God damn it Doc, mind warning me next you spontaneously bust doors down?!" I vigorously rubbed where my skull had been rammed by the door.
"G-good morning,D-Doctor Gaster!" Alphys chirped merrily.
He ran past us and to the sink, dropping something in it. He cursed under his breath in wingdings. Just as he had turned the water on, a white blur dashed outta the room. The dog stopped just outside the door, cocking its head in mine and Alphys' direction. It borked and the turned to see Gaster, who was vigorously washing his hands, then applied a green magic to it.
"Uhhhh...Doc? Ya good?"
"Yes, yes I'm fine, my son. Could you distract that kaynine for me?" Without turning around he gestured towards the dog , who was currently scratching his ear.
"I-I'll keep it company. Doctor Sa- I mean, Sans, you go check up Doctor Gaster." With that, Alphys picked it up and walked towards the office. I stood up, dusting myself off.
"You sure you're alright Doc?"
He sighed. "Yes, Sans. But... could you come and help me regardless?"
"Heh, sure thing Doc. I'll throw you a bone~"
"Ha, good one."
Stepping towards the sink, I saw a pool of red trickling it's way down the drain.
"Doc? 'The hell, is there blood in the sink..?" I inched closer, only to see Gaster's hand soaked in it. I felt sick all of a sudden.
"W....what happened there, Doc?"
"Ah, well you see, I was preparing food for the dog and one of the amalgamates were sitting in the food bowl. I kept asking it to leave, but it just would not budge. So when I went to pick it up and move it myself.. Well. You can see the result..." he nervously chuckled a bit.
I sighed. "Gaster... " You damned old man...
He smiled a bit, "Could you..?" he gestured for me to heal his hand.
Another sigh.
"Fine....But don't. Say. A word. Capiche?" I muttered, pointing , waving my finger at him after every syllable.
He rolled his eyes and nodded reluctantly.
"Okay. Glad we're on the same page."
After cleaning up the wound, we washed all the blood outta the sink and used green magic to tidy up the scars.
"You do not have to be so secretive about it you know, Sans.Magic is not a burden."
"Yeah, but I don't feel like being hounded to join the royal guard again either."
I pulled out the gawaz. We may be skeletons, but that doesn't mean we don't bleed. I walked back to the chair were Gaster was sitting.
"Really gotta hand it to ya, Doc. You must have really pissed em off. " I wrapped the gawaz around his hand, tieing it off with surgical tape.
"Yes." he took his hand back once I was done.
"For such a small thing, it packed a lot of damage." He looked back at me.
"Why would you rather be a scientist than serve for his majesty personally?"
"I am working for his majesty, need I remind you? This is my lab after all."
"Tch. You don't need to rub it in so smugly son..." he gets up from his chair, pulling off his coat.
"Heh, and you don't need to be askin me about things that make me uncomfortable~" I flash a wink at him. Trying to ease a bit of the tension I guess.
"I suppose."
The rest of the day was slow. At around 9:00 the Doc and I started back home, leaving Alphys to the lab.
"Are you sure you will be alright here all alone, Doctor Alphys?" He asked, hanging his lab coat on the hat rack only to put on his black one back on. I just wear the same one.
"O-of course! I am m-more than capable to manage on my own! Thank you for asking though!"
"Alright then. Goodbye, Alphys. Have a safe trip home."
After being waved off by Alphys, Gaster and I traveled down through hotlands to the elevator. Nicecream guy was there as usual, and we bought some nicecreams. We ate them on the way and made sure not to get our clothes all sticky. It was especially hot today.
W stepped into the elevator and headed to the capital.
"What if you need it?"
"Eh? Need what,Doc?"
"Your magic. What if you need it one day?"
"What'd you...?"
"Oh come now Sans, you know exactly what I mean...Honestly."
"..."
"What if your brother were in trouble one day? And you come against a powerful being beyond anything you can defeat with words. Will you simply just keep pretending you're magically challenged as you have for all these years now?" He stands tall, hands folded behind his back.
"...."
"Are you just going to let your brother die, Sans?" He looks down at me with a sorrowful expression.
I grit my teeth.
"That's what I thought..."He smiles " Oh and Sans?"
"Yea?..."
"...If -" Just then, the elevator comes to a stop and we step out without saying another word.
Just then, I had another vision, of a little girl at first, but then a much older one stood in her place. She called my name, waving joyfully. Then she was gone.
