The "bet" (Frisk's perspective)
(Frisk's perspective)
I kept a tight hold on my best friend's arm, in return he was holding my other hand as we walked. I had thought about letting Gaster to warp me home, but instead decided I wanted to stick around Sans longer.
I felt the way I had when I was younger all of a sudden. It was a warm kind of feeling, nothing weird about it though. I just felt comforted and safe. In a way, complete too. I vigorously shook my head, ridding myself of any crazy thoughts or emotions. But still...I couldn't help but hold the skeleton's arm tighter.
As I did so, he stopped and looked down at me, the light from Waterfall casting blue hues across his white face, reflecting off white pupils.
"Ya okay, Babybones?" he asked in his naturally low sounding voice, sounding more sincere.
The way he said my pet name made him sound like he was calling me 'Babe bones'. I didn't mind though, it was better than being called his baby. Even so... I can't say I minded that either....
I nodded, not sure why I was still holding onto him. I didn't feel uncomfortable anymore, yet I didn't want to let go. Doctor Gaster stopped too. He looked at his silver pocket watch and turned towards us, his eyes resting on me with a smile before looking at Sans.
"It is getting late, it would be best if we took a shortcut from here on." He held his arm out for me to link up with it.
"I will take you home, Frisk. If of course, it is alright with you."
I walked to Gaster, hand slowly slipping out of Sans' grip. I looked back at the bone head, he gently waved me off. As the purple aura surrounded the Doctor and I and we were at my new home in the capital of the Underground.
" Frisk." Gaster sad.
I looked up at him.
"Do not be afraid when you are with Sans, Papyrus and I."
I stared at him puzzling what he was saying together...
"If something happens or has.. You better be damn sure that one of us will be there to take care of it." He peered down at me sternly.
"Am I clear?"
I swallowed my fears at his words.
"Crystal." I wiped a tear away from my eye. He didn't question it. I was just so happy to finally have people who cared. He knocked on the door a few times and whispered so only I could hear.
"Now listen to me, child. If Queen Toriel knew that you were in a bar without her consent she would surely have our heads. So I will take care of this whole fiasco, you just need to agree with whatever I end up saying, got it?"
He asked that, but it sounded like more of a demand. I didn't bother to say anything regarding it. He knocked again and a tallish goat monster had answered, he wore a green hoodie and gaming headphones on with regular blue jeans. He beamed at Gaster and pulled frisk into a gentle hug.
"Howdy Frisk!" Azzy pulled away, smiling like a doofus. I smiled right back.
"Hey bro!" I replied.
"Thanks for bringing my sister back, Doctor G! Come in!" his still maturing voice gestured the tall skeleton inside. "Please make yourself at home, okay? I'll go get Mom."
Asriel left me and Gaster in the living area. A few seconds latter Toriel came rushing back with Chara storming in behind her. The man had went around our mom and took me by the shoulders, fear in his eyes.
"Frisk! Where have you been?! We were worried sick about you! You didn't answer your phone for nearly eight hours and-" He stopped and sighed, giving me a hug and I hugged back.
"Sorry Chara... But I was..-" Gaster cut in abruptly.
"Forgive me your majesties..It was my fault. I had invited Frisk here over to the lab to help me with some tests. They took longer than expected sadly..." he looked at me.
"Yeah.. I thought I would be done sooner... S-so I didn't think I about telling you guys... Sorry...Mom, bros..."
They all seemed to sigh at the same time.
"It is...quite alright, Frisk dear..."
Then.
She gave Gaster a death glare and stepped towards him. Me, Az and Chara suddenly huddled together, cowering in absolute fear. We were all thinking the same thing;
'TORIEL'S MOM MODE:ON...'
Even Doctor Gaster had jumped a bit at her tone, stern and deep.
"What...KIND...Of tests did you run on my child...DOCTOR Gaster...?"
A chill ran up my spin.
'Oh god. Gaster you'd better run hell for leather if you don't want to taste Mom's furry.'
He quickly fixed his posture and said with confidence.
"Well, why don't you ask her yourself, my Queen?"
Wait...What?!
She turned towards me, 'Mom Mode' still on.
"Well...?"
Asriel and Chara had suddenly disappeared, I heard the jump over and cower behind the couch. I heard Chara yell.
"Run Sibs! Before it's too late!"
"She can stare into your soul Frisk, just run! Before it's too late!" Asriel and Chara called out. Though I couldn't tell if they were messing with me or genuinely scared for my future existence.
"Y-yeah,Mom...About the tests...Uh...They were pretty easy. Gaster had me try to solve a bunch..CRAZY problems and he timed how fast I could solve each one. Of course, I did it willingly. H-he wanted to see if I was really as smart as I had made myself out to be...Also, it was a between the two of us."
I said, sounding as convincing as I could muster. I was pissed deep down though. How could he?! He said he would be there for me. That son of a- I suddenly had a lovely idea...
"And I won. Now he owes me~" I glared at Gaster mischievously winking at him. He groaned in annoyance, regretting his decision to hand ME the mike on that one. He grunted before answering.
"Correct...."
Toriel seemed to ease up, and smiled at Gaster. Funny how she can turn that rage on and off just like that.
"Thank you, Gaster. I highly appreciate you dropping off Frisk, and spending time with her of course. I know you two do not talk very much..."
Or so she thought. Actually, he and I talked a lot. That is, if I wasn't talking to Sans or Alphys.
Toriel greeted goodbye the the doctor happily again, and I gave him a look that let him know that he really did owe me for that stunt he had pulled. 'I will take care of this whole fiasco' my candied ass! He dropped that on me like a damn bomb! LITERALLY! Mom would have exploded any minute if she found out I was lying! That Old Jackass!
I couldn't help but laugh at him though. God, Sans must go through hell dealing with that one.
Sans... I was glad that he had taken me out of Gilbeys earlier. That man hadn't done anything, but I still felt....I don't know. I didn't get a look at him, I just avoided him without being too rude. What if he had done something?
NO.
He didn't and I was fine now. I didn't even need to worry about such a stupid thing. I stepped into my room and changed into my pajamas, heading back down the hallways and made my way to Chara and Asriel's small room, where they were playing video games. But Azzy came out and stopped me. He smirked devilishly and put his hands in the pockets of his hoodie. He was so large that he blocked off nearly the whole hallway.
"What?" I asked, trying to get past him.
"You were with Sans weren't you?" he snorted a bit, playing with his tied offed beard which was now beginning to curl.
I jotled. "H-how did you..?"
"Oh come on little sis, I literally saw you three in snowdin on my way back home from the Ruins!" he tapped a part of his head beside his horns.
"OH..." I flushed.
Lucky for me, Asriel is just a stupid tease. He kept joking with me about it in the hall. He never even thought about telling Mom and he wasn't mad. Sans was like an Uncle to Azzy oddly enough. Which made it awkward for my favor....Annoyed by his saying "You two are just adorable" and "you totally like him" I yanked on his beard as hard as possible. I didn't let go until he promised to stop. When he did, the two of us jogged into he and Chara's room. Me and my brothers sat in their room playing video games all night. Finally letting my mind rest from the bar, Gaster's stupid way of 'taking care of business', and mainly, Sans.
