Do you ever just want to stop thinking? Be able to just make your thoughts come to a halt because you're so nervous that you can't see straight, and they aren't really helping?

That's how he felt, looking at himself in the dressing room mirror. He was wearing his black tux, his faded red hair neat but messy, and his bowtie tied perfectly. He looked perfect, everything was going to plan, but his heart was still beating out of his chest. Knowing he had paranoia, he stepped out of his designated room and walked to where his soon-to-be wife was. Knocking lightly on the door, he heard a girl, presumably Aria, yell from the other side, "Who is it?"

"Pizza," he remarked sarcastically, hearing a small giggle from his soulmate.

"Mark, you know you can't see her until she walks down that aisle. So, go away." Again, y/n let out a small giggle.

"Aria's right, Marki. No seeing me until the aisle."

His nerves started to calm just by the sound of her voice. "I know, I know. But, I mean, I was so nervous, and I wanted to hear your voice 'cos you know it always calms me down when I'm stressed."

A shuffling came from inside the room, before her voice became a little clearer, signaling she had walked to the other side of the door. "You know I love you, right Mark?" He let out a noise of agreeance, allowing her to continue. "And because I love you, I need you to go. Go make sure everything is going well out there, and we'll see each other when we see each other. Got it?"

He let out a groan, telling her he loved her before walking toward the altar to do what she said. Things seemed to all be in order, the cake chairs seated just right and the priest standing in his spot at the end of the walkway. People were slowly filing into their seats, him taking it upon himself to greet the family and friends just arriving.

When he came upon his buddies, he was happy to see that they were dressed in their tuxes, seeing as they'd be his groom's men. Wade ended up being his Best Man, to which Bob, Jack, and Felix all didn't mind. They all struck up a conversation, saying it was a good way to get Mark's mind off of her and the stress of the wedding.

But, her being his soulmate, he just couldn't help but think about her. It was funny, how all the time flew. One minute, he was wishing she'd come faster, the next, he was holding her in his arms as they slept on a cozy winter morning. His eyes were beginning to tear up, just out of pure happiness, and he hadn't even seen her yet. Shaking his head, he heard the doors shut, and heard the hush of the crowd.

It was time; she was going to come out any minute. Getting to his spot, he stood on the left of the altar, his hands linked together in front of him as he watched the door open up to the bride's maids and Best Maid. They all smiled at Mark, Aria giving him a wink as she passed by and went to her spot. Then, the doors opened a little wider, wedding bells beginning to chime and the music beginning to fill the silent room.

She walked out, her arm linked around her father's, smiling widely. Her veil covered her eyes in a white lace, the rest of the snow white dress flowing gracefully behind her. They made the walk to the altar, y/n handing her flowers to Aria and turning back around to hold Mark's hands. He could see the tears in her eyes, knowing he had watery eyes as well. The priest started to speak, going on with all of the talks from the Bible before making it to the part where you recite your vows.

Mark being Mark had brought a piece of paper, making the crowd laugh as he fumbled with it in his hands. Finally getting it unfolded, he laughed a little with y/n, looking into her eyes and then back down at the sheet of paper in his hand.

"Y/n, from the first day I saw you in that coffee shop and heard that sweetly annoying beep go off, I knew I'd love you forever. You just looked so beautiful that day, much like you do every day, and it absolutely blew me away to think that you'd be the one I got to spend the rest of my life with. And, with everything that happened before that – me practically begging for you to show up sooner and sooner, I realized that all of it was worth getting to see you that day.

"You are just the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I don't know," he sniffled, looking away from the paper and letting out a small chuckle, "I just don't know where I'd be today if it hadn't been for you. Honestly, I'm pretty sure I'd be a slob with an uncontrolled and hectic life, just sitting at my computer without any pants and ranting about how some character killed me in a video game. But, with you," he looked at her, seeing her smile with tears going down her cheeks. "With you, I feel like I can do anything. With you, it's like there's this happiness in my life that I couldn't dare match with my fans.

"Basically, I'm trying to say I love you. I know I'm only one guy, and I know that I'm your soulmate, but I feel like me just telling you I love you will never be able to do justice to what I mean. You light up my life, and I can't say anything but thank you for that." His voice had cracked multiple times as he finished, his tears cascading down his pink cheeks.

She smiled, giggling a little, "Oh man, I'm not sure I could match that one. Well, here goes." The people around them laughed, some sniffling.

"Mark, you, well, you just did so much for me. The first day I saw you, and my clock ran out, I couldn't believe my luck. I know it was such a coincidence to have moved into the same apartment that you had, like six months prior, but I honestly think it was a stroke of fate. And, from the day you walked me home to the day you took me to Disney, and even to the day you proposed so smoothly to me, I just knew I'd never be able to live without you.

"You just," she let out a shaky laugh, knowing the crying was only getting harder to avoid, "you showed me so much, like being able to love and feel loved and protected, but of all of that, you showed me what happiness felt like. And for that, I can only say thank you. But also, I love you so much, like you don't even know. I know you said that you needed me to help you not be a slob, but without you in my life, I'd be hopeless. I'd be stuck in that place where I wouldn't be sure on whether or not I could actually make a difference or ever find what it felt like to be content with what I had." She couldn't help but let out a little sob, looking away like he had done.

"I know my vows are nowhere near as good as yours were, but I promise that I'll always love you, cherish you, and keep you by my side. You just mean the world to me, no matter how stupid you act sometimes, and I love you so much." She finished her vows out, giggling a little while the preacher began to say the final lines. They repeated after him, smiling widely as he neared the end.

"May I have the rings?" Wade pulled the rings out and handed them to the bride and groom, the priest allowing them to slip the golden bands on the other's finger. "With that, you may now kiss the bride!" With his conclusion, Mark leaned down, moving her veil and pressing his lips to her soft, plump ones. He hadn't been able to kiss her in a couple days, giving him this rush of happiness as he felt her kiss back.

"Onto the reception! Who wants to party!" Everyone cheered, clapping and walking down to the party room. Mark kept his newly-wedded wife at his side, his arm linked with her own. She was smiling up at him, him doing the same to her, as they walked down to the room, seeing everyone smile and hearing the music start to play.

"Care to dance, m'lady?" Nodding, they both headed out on the dance floor, doing a random dance or two before the slow songs started to come on.

They were the happiest they'd ever been, being able to look down at their rings and smile, knowing they were stuck with each other for the rest of eternity. Forever just wasn't quite long enough.
