Tesni pushed the cart around the grocery side of Walmart getting the things for the rest of the week she and Ethan would need. Bread, Milk, eggs, and just other essentials. Tesni walked passed a display of Disney stuff she could help but look. She was looking at shirts when "Sunni Scott is that you?" said a voice Tesni turned to look where the voice was coming from to see her cousin Mallory coming towards her.

Mallory Scott was only few months younger then Tesni, but they had never been close. Mallory and their other cousin Chloe were always two peas in a pod and always left Tesni out and made it clear she wasn't one of them. For the most part when at family parties Tesni would just find a quite spot and read just enjoy time to herself. But there were times when her dad or grandma would try get them to do stuff together. Only to have Mallory and Chloe just ignoring Tesni or sitting together whispering and laughing and looking at Tesni while doing so. They would play pranks on Tesni the worst was when Tesni was fifteen years old and was rereading one of her favorite books and the copy had belonged to their grandma who had given it Tesni. Tesni to this day didn't know if it was out of jealousy or hatred maybe both. Tesni was reading the book in the back bedroom to have some privacy from the rest of the family.

When Mallory and Chloe came in laughing loud Tesni had looked up her book to her cousins and rolled her eyes at them but said nothing and went back to reading. Mallory didn't like this one bit. "Well, if isn't little Miss Sunshine hiding away in the back room, so no one has to see her ugly face" snapped Mallory which made Chloe laugh. Tesni just shook her head but said nothing not wanting to cause trouble. "What Sunni can't you speak just like you can't see color like normal people?" smirked Mallory like she had just said the cleverest thing in the world. Tesni had huffed "I can speak perfectly fine I just choose not to respond to the stupid dribble that falls out of your mouth" said Tesni. Mallory just stared at her for a second with a blank expression on her face. Chloe eyes just widen, and her mouth fell opened with shock. Mallory's face moved into an ugly sneer "Oh you think you all smart and stuff wasting your time reading but guess what nobody here wants you here because you are such a freak!" snapped Mallory.

Tesni put the book down on the bed "I don't care that you guys don't want me here, but Grandma does that's all that matters" responded Tesni. Mallory rolled her eyes and with a smirk "Oh no grandma only feels bad for you because nobody wants you not even your own mom wanted you" yelled Mallory who then reach down on the bed and grabbed the book. Tesni's eyes started to fill with tears, but she quickly wiped them away. "Mallory give me my book back" pleaded Tesni scrambling off the bed to grab the book back. Before Tesni could reach her Mallory ripped the book in two "Oh no is little orphan Sunni going to cry over her book or the fact that her own mommy doesn't want her" snapped Mallory. Chloe laughed "That should be her new nickname little orphan Sunni" said Chloe.

Tesni glared at Chloe "I am not an orphan I have a parent my dad unlike you who doesn't even know who he is" snapped Tesni. Chloe eyes narrowed at Tesni and raised her hand to slap Tesni but was it was caught by the large hand of Matthew Scott "DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT CHLOE" said Matthew with firm in his voice that made Chloe stop "Now girls that's enough of this fighting" he snapped. Tesni reached down to pick up the torn book as she grabbed the book there was a sharp pain and then blood was coming out her nose, Tesni let out a cry of pain and grabbed her nose. Mallory laughed as she put her down and wiped the blood her shoe on the carpet. "Hey, freak the color on your face matches you hair, wait you can't see the color can you and never will because no one would love a weirdo like you" snapped Mallory.

Matthew ran to his daughter looking at her nose to make sure it wasn't broken. Then glared at both his nieces "YOU TWO DOWNSTAIRS NOW" he yelled. The fight that followed between her dad and his siblings was bad to were Tesni and her father didn't see the family besides her grandma until three years later at her grandma's funeral and not much after that either.

Tesni snapped back to reality and looked at Mallory with a small smile "Hello Mallory" said Tesni simply. Mallory walked closer to Tesni "How long has it been dear Sunni since we have seen each other?" asked Mallory with sarcasm in her voice. Tesni just shook her head some people never change but responded "I think the last time I saw you or the rest of the family was at my dad's funeral, When your dad was asking about my dad's will which was two years ago" said Tesni calmly.

Mallory frown and huffed and pushed her light blonde hair out of her face, "And you here spending your sweet daddy's money that should have gone to my dad and the rest of the family who really need it not some colorblind brat" snapped Mallory smirking. Tensi just smiled "Oh Mallory do you really think you would have seen any of the money; I really dont really think Uncle Max and Aunt Mariah would have shared the money with you?" said Tesni. Tesni could see some doubt flicker across Mallory's face and then she pressed her lips together trying think of a comeback. "What my dad did with the money he worked hard for is and never will be any of you concern, he left it to me his daughter so butt out of things that have nothing to do with you" said Tesni firmly.

Tesni started to walk away when she heard "Well at least I am not a color-blind freak who no will ever love" snapped Mallory. Tesni turned around looked at Mallory up and down who was wearing and orange shirt and blue jeans "You know green doesn't look really good on people most, but it definitely clashes with that orange shirt your wearing today" says Tesni confidently and turn and walked away from her cousin with her mouth gaping wide open.

Tesni was gathering the groceries out the trunk when she felt someone behind her "Let me help you Tes" said Ethan as he placed his hands on the small of her back which put her instantly at ease especially after what happen with Jordyn and Mallory. They finished gather the groceries and set them on the island. When Tesni wrapped her arms around Ethan gave him a tight hug and sighed just in his arms which Ethan just held her for a few minutes before saying anything. "Hey Tes, are you okay did something happen while you were gone?" asked Ethan pulling slightly away to look at her. Tesni nodded and the explain everything with Jordyn and then what happened with Mallory at the store. Ethan pulled Tesni back in his arms and gave a soft kiss on the top her head. "What can I do to make this day better?" he asked. Tesni thought for a minute, "How about we watch a Disney movie and eat popcorn and cuddle" she replied. Ethan and Tesni got everything ready to watch a movie popcorn and drinks and just spent the rest of the day together forgetting everything but each other.

Sunday they over to the villa to spend it with Ethan's family, Camie pulled Tesni aside "Ethan told me about the run in with your cousin Mallory, I remember her from your dad's funeral and the scene they caused when you kicked them out I was so mad, but you handled it so well" said Camie. Tesni frowned at the memory of her dads funeral and how her Uncle and Aunt had demanded a copy of her dad's will that very day even though it had been years since she had even seen them.

A month later after the will reading in which her dad had left each of his siblings 25,000 dollars splitting the money he had gotten when his mother had died knowing that they would have wasted their share. They had tried to sue Tesni for over half of what her dad had left her claiming something false the courts threw it out because the will had been iron clad, but it still had taken months to be thrown out. When the decision had been made and they had told Tesni a few choice words and said she wasn't family anymore and not to contact them anymore which was fine by her. "Well hopefully I wont have to see Mallory again while I am here!" said Tesni.

Oliver and Henry came running in the room to Tesni "Aunt Sunni would you play MarioCart with us and Uncle Ethan?" asked Oliver sweetly with his large Hazel eyes and huge grin. Tesni laughed at the boys excitement "You brought your switch?" asked Tesni somewhat surprised "Of course they brought them how else I am supposed to keep two little boys entertain on a four- and half-hour flight from Salt Lake to Orlando?" replied Camie like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Lets go play Aunt Sunni and we can kick Uncle Ethan's butt!!!" giggled Oliver. "Oliver what have I said about you using that word" said Camie with a serious tone Oliver's eyes widen, and he slap his hand over his mouth. "I am sorry mom; I mean we are totally beat Uncle Ethan right?" he asked Tesni while looking at his mom who just smiles at him. "Come on buddy lets go kick Uncle Ethan's butt" said Tesni grabbing Oliver's hand and walking to the front room "Language" yelled Camie after them.

After several races and a lot of teasing and letting their nephews win Ethan and Tesni getting all the game stuff put away. When Claire came into the front room "Did you two have fun with the boys?" asked Claire as she sat down on the couch. "Oh, I did those two boys are such a joy and blessing, I love them so much they both bring such joy in my life" replied Tesni. "You are very good with them, and they obviously love you too, you are a very good aunt to my grandkids and you'll wonderful mom to my future grandkids someday" said Claire with a smirk. Tesni eyes widen, and she started to cough from Claire's statement. Ethan smiled and laughed at his mom and Tesni reaction. "Oh, mom I couldnt agree with you more and hopefully we can get started that soon" said Ethan with a wink at Tesni. "Ethan" gasped Tesni turning a bright red and Claire just laughed at her son. Tesni just looked at them "I see were Ethan gets his quick wit from." said Tesni shaking her head at mother and son.

On the drive back to the cottage Ethan grabbed Tesni's hand while he drove thoughts play in his head of everything that happen they need to talk tonight finally decide everything. Even though they were boyfriend and girlfriend Tesni keep pushing any real or final decisions to a later date and with the meeting coming up this week he wasnt sure they would have time to really talk other than tonight. "Where do you want to grab dinner?" asked Tesni pulling Ethan from his thoughts. "Doesn't matter to me whatever sounds good to you will be fine by me" answered Ethan.

Tesni was quite for a moment "I like this place called Cheddar's me and the girls went there out first night here, and I had the Monte Cristo, Oh MY GOSH its to die for Ethan" said Tesni happily. "I have eaten there before I really like their Chicken Pot Pie." said Ethan. Tesni wrinkled her nose up and shake her head "I really can't stand Chicken Pot Pie, my dad use to make them all the time when I was a kid and he would have to eat mine too because I refused to eat them, it just grosses me out" said Tesni. Ethan smiled "I feel the same way about avocados and pickles" said Ethan. Tesni shook her head disbelief "Finally proof that you aren't perfect" said Tesni. Ethan smirked but looked over at her "Oh and how have you finally figured this out" he asked pretending to be offended.

Tesni just looked back at him and with a mocking tone "Pickles are a gift from god, I just dont know if I can be with someone who doesnt agree with me" she said. Ethan just nods "You are breaking up with me over pickles, well then I never thought I would be broken up over a pickled cucumber" said Ethan pretending to be hurt. Tesni laughed "Oh Clark you are so full of yourself, Pickles may be one of my favorite things in the world, but I like you so much better" Tesni said as she rolled her eyes. Ethan looked at her and press his lips together "You like me better then pickles?" asked Ethan with a raised eyebrow. Tesni nodded "I like pickles, but I adore you" said Tesni. Ethan grabbed her hand intertwine his hand with hers then lifted her to his lips and pressed a soft kiss. "Lets go grab dinner and go back to the cottage," Tesni nodded.

Ethan was looking at his laptop at flights to Boston for that Wednesday. When Tesni came down the stairs he looked up and saw that she was in her pjs, and her hair was up in a messy bun with no makeup on she turned to him with a big smile on her face "Hey what are you doing there handsome" she asked as she walked over to him and sat down next to him. Ethan leaned over and kissed her softly then pulled back "Oh just checking for flights to Boston for this Wednesday" he replied. Tesni frown and felt like her dropped to her stomach Ethan saw her look Tesni "I am get flights for both of us, I need to go home at least for few days to work on few things and get Zeppe and then we can go to Salt Lake for few weeks before we go to Georgia" he said as he wrapped his arm around her and kissed her forehead. A million thoughts ran through Tesnis mind, she pulled away then started to rub the back of her neck feeling uncomfortable. Ethan turned to her with concern Is something wrong "Tesni?" asked Ethan.

Tesni put her hands down in her lap and clasped them together and sighed. "Ethan what do mean go to we go to Georgia?" asked Tesni in a quiet voice. Ethan could feel that there was some tension in her voice. Ethan put his laptop on the coffee table and turn his body to face Tesni. "Tesni I think it's time we talk about us and how we should move forward, I know that this can be scary, but I really think that we can this work and it will be so worth it." said Ethan taking Tesni's hands and holding them tightly like his life depend on this next conversation. Tesni looked down at their hands and bit her lip thinking on how to respond. "So, Ethan how do you want to make this relationship work, we both have careers that we love and lives that we love" Tesni said tensely. Ethan nodded and smiled "I understand that there are going to be challenges and we are both going to have to make sacrifices, but Tes I want you in my future please tell me you want the same" said Ethan looking at Tesni with pleading eyes.

Tesni thoughts were following rapidly through her mind and the biggest one was the thought of not having Ethan by her side left her with a hollow feeling in the pit of her stomach. "Ethan of course I want a future with you she hesitated for a second and then took a deep breathe Ethan the thought of not having you by my side scares me and leaves me feeling empty" said Tesni shaking her head and her eyes started to tear up. Ethan took his hands from hers and put them on her face and wiped her tears away. "Tesni look at me, I have been thinking about this and I have a few ideas of how to make this work, we can try it out for a few months and see if it will work and if not we make changes until find something that works for us" said Ethan.

Tesni looked at Ethan with questioning tilt to her head "Okay Ethan I am all ears" said Tesni. Ethan reached up and tucked some her hair behind her ear and leaned in and gave her a small kiss which Tesni smiled at him as he pulled back "I will never get tired of doing that Tesni, but now for my idea that can keep us together, but you can still be a teacher, how would you if teach online school?" asked Ethan.

Tesni nodded in understanding it was a sound idea she could teach from anywhere and she could have a smaller classes which was always nice, and she would be near Ethan, but she would miss teaching in person and engaging with each student and getting to know them which she would miss by teaching online. She could try it over maybe six months to see if works then decide from there. Tesni took a deep breath and looked at Ethan "That is idea where I could still teach, and you could be on set or wherever you need to be, and we would still be together" said Tesni. Ethan smiled at her and pressed his forehead to hers and closed his eyes before pulling back and wrapping his arm around her shoulders and sitting back on the couch. Tesni lean her head on his shoulder. Ethan pulled her closer to him "Tesni I few projects coming the next year well just two one in Georgia its really just reshoots that we have then then the press tours and then 6 months from now I will be starting on new project in Vancouver, do you have your passport?" Ethan asked. Tesni nodded "Yes I do, I have had one since I was fifteen and my dad and I went to England for the summer!" Ethan smiled "I love England, what were you guys doing there for a whole summer?" asked Ethan. Tesni sighed and gave a soft smile "My dad was going on a book and speaking tour, I was supposed to spend the summer at my grandma's and have a week visit with my mom but a few weeks before the start of the summer my mom called and canceled my dad saw how disappointed I was and he knew how much I loved Jane Austen and Harry Potter, He decided to bring me along to make it up too me I was one of my favorite vacations" replied Tesni.

Ethan pressed his lips to her forehead and then laid his head on top of hers "I am sorry about your mom Tes, but your dad sounds like he was an amazing dad, I wish I could have meet him and thank him for changing my life." whispered Ethan. Tesni snuggled closer to him and smiled "He would have loved you and loved how much you love his books" said Tesni. Ethan smiled at the thought of one his heroes approval "When I read Raid for the first time it was like I found a friend in Mateo, and I understood how it was being in a world where you don't fit in but that doesn't make your value on less matter of fact to me at least those who dont fit in are born to stand out and change the world for the better." said Ethan with a sigh "Mateo taking a stand and not trying to hide who he is by embracing the difference and showing the difference in all people is a beautiful thing" said Ethan pulling Tesni closer to him.

Tesni smiled and sighed "Oh Ethan I am so glad that you loved his books and how they touched your life, I understand how books can change your life, it change your whole life with just one page" replied Tesni. "I think though the best thing your dad did that change my life for the best was you my dear" said Ethan with a smirk. Tesni pulled away and rolled her eyes "Ethan Clark you are such a cheeseball" she laughed and shook her head. Ethan just laughed "I know but that is one of the things you love about me" Ethan replied with a smirk. Tesni went to respond but before she could say anything Ethan swiftly capture his mouth with hers in a passionate kiss that made her made her lose all thought.

After a few minutes Ethan pulled away "My dear I think we should stop because if we don't stop now, I am sure it's going to be hard for me to stop" said Ethan said breathlessly. Tesni gasped and then shook her head and gave his shoulder a small slap. Ethan stood up and held out his hand "It's getting late princess shall we go get ready for bed?" asked Ethan with a huge grin his face. Tesni raised her eyebrow and smiled, "Ethan nodded I promise to be on my best behavior in less you don't want to and continue what we started down here" said Ethan a little proud of himself. Tesni stood up and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. She pulled back and looked him in the eyes. "Ethan, I want to thank you for being so patient with me about this with me on this, and promise we are close, I just need a little more time okay" said Tesni quietly. Ethan nodded "I will wait until you are ready, I don't want to rush you in any way that you don't enjoy it, I know the first time is important and special and that what I want for you is for it to be special and you enjoy it I am just honored you want to share it with me" he said leaning his forehead to hers.

Tesni closed her eyes and pulled him back in for a hug. "How did I get so luck and get someone so perfect as my soulbound" sighed Tesni. Ethan smiled and leaned in for another soft kiss then pulled back. "I think my dear that's the whole point of being soulbound its cause we are perfect for each other" he responded. "You are right once again now lets get to bed tomorrow is a big day for each of us" said Tesni as she took his hand and lead him up the stairs for the night.
