Identity Crisis Part 1: The OG Squad

Evil Xisuma was not having a good day. Even considering that good days were few and far between, given the current situation, today was notably ungood, even if it didn't quite cross the threshold of being 'bad' just yet. Joe was frozen in place between him and Keralis, the latter having fallen flat on his back as Joe had forcibly separated them.

How did this happen?

A long time ago- actually, never, and also now...

Wait, wrong thing.

history of the entire arc i guess

"Hey, Evil X?" X called over from his latest attempt at fine-tuning the infinity portal he'd accidentally created. "Can you pass me a bed? I don't wanna have to leave this room when it's night, in case something funky happens to the portal."

"Sure." Evil X replied, tossing a yellow bed to Xisuma. X put the bed down, and it instantly turned into a diamond block. X groaned, and set about trying to undo what had just happened. Evil X smiled sympathetically, then promptly realised that said expression was hidden under his helmet anyway, so X wouldn't have seen it. Suddenly, a voice came from behind Evil X.

"Shishwamy!" Keralis greeted, going forward to meet his old friend. EX yelped, startled, leaping out of the way. TFC chuckled from over by the door.

"We figured you've been overworking yourself on this portal." TFC explained. "Why don't you come and take a break with us?"

"I can't." X sighed. "Even if I stop working on it, I have to keep an eye on it so it doesn't do something weird and kill us all."

"Shishwamy..." Keralis scolded, folding his arms. "You need to take a break, okay?" He paused for a moment, thoughtfully. "I'll watch the portal, okay?" X sighed, a look of concern flickering over his face.

"Fine." He eventually agreed, "But please, Keralis... be careful?"

"Of course, my Shashwam!" Keralis agreed, beaming, "I'll come and tell you if anything happens, promise! Now go! Go take a break!"

Nobody noticed Evil X's brow furrow with suspicion.

Tiiiime Skip!

It had taken a lot of trouble to be able to slip away from X and TFC. No amount of persuasion, of insistence that X and Keralis were old friends, could convince Evil X to trust the guy. Hence why he was making his way back to the room with the portal. As he approached, he heard a strange crackling noise. He broke into a light jog. At the flashing blue lights, he broke into a jog.

He reached the room, and there was Keralis, trying to contain some kind of explosion — with something that was undoubtedly Vex magic. Evil X burst in, Keralis turned to warn him and-

BANG

wELP. Guess the end is nigher than expected. Goodbye.
