Louis woke up to his first morning in Australia ; the glass doors of the master bedroom's balcony were wide open and a cool breeze blew in , filling the room with the scent of the ocean . He smiled to himself and let his eyes stay close , trying to listen to the sounds around him , figure out where Harry was .

He fell into another short nap before waking up to Harry leaning over him to kiss his cheek a few times , he smiled and held the covers tighter around him , "Hey there ."

"Morning ." Harry kissed the corner of his lips , "Got a message from the shipping company that the surfboard and new prosthetic landed , so we should be getting it later today or tomorrow morning ."

"Perfect ." Louis sighed out , "Can I have a cuddle before I get out of bed ?"

Harry lifted the covers up and plastered himself to Louis' back , pressing kisses to the back of his neck , "We don't have any groceries for breakfast , so we'll go out somewhere close ."

Louis hummed and melted into the embrace , eyes closing again . "Why weren't you in bed earlier ?"

"Woke up at six and couldn't fall back asleep , so by the time it was after seven I got up to workout a bit ." Harry's lips brushed the back of his neck , "Was about to go shower ."

"Go , stinky , I'll make us tea ." Louis squeezed his hand , letting out a small laugh when Harry bit him playfully for calling him 'stinky' .

Harry stood up from the bed and went into the bathroom , Louis sighed to himself before sitting up , reaching to grab his fabrics from the nightstand before fixing his prosthetic on . He joined Harry in the bathroom to use the toilet and brush his teeth , before going downstairs to make himself and Harry cups of tea .

Harry joined him a few minutes later in the living room , Louis looked up from his phone and smiled , "Nialler texted , sent a picture of himself with Zayn and Liam ." He showed Harry the picture of the three making kissy faces to the camera with a caption of "Have fun in Australia lovers , miss you already" and emojis .

"Aw ." Harry smiled , "My mum texted too and I sent her a text back a picture of us still in bed ." Harry showed him a picture of Louis snuggled into his chest .

"It's a cute picture , Haribo , but I don't know how I feel about you sending your mum a picture of the two of us shirtless in bed ." Louis sipped on his tea , Harry rolled his eyes , "Wasn't like we were doing anything , we were cuddling ."

"Either way , send it to me , I like that one ." Louis leaned back in his seat and turned his head to the large glass doors , "We should take a walk when we're back from breakfast ."

"We'll have to get some groceries aswell ." Harry nodded , "And I'll get our rented car too ."

"Want to split up ? I'll do the groceries you'll get the car and pick me up from the store ?" Louis asked , Harry scrunched his nose , "Are you really asking me to let you go grocery shopping on your own ? Last time we ended up with five different brands of cereal , half the snacks aisle and zero vegetables ."

Louis laughed and nudged his thigh with his foot , "Oi ."

Harry grabbed his ankle with a smile , "I'm teasing , but I'll give you a short list of stuff we really need , anything else is up to you ."

The two went out for brunch , then split up ; Louis went grocery shopping in the nearest store to the car renting company , while Harry got their car .

Louis finished getting everything that was on Harry's list , then took his time grabbing anyting else he wanted . He saw a guy from the corner of his eye ; he'd seen that guy four times already , what were the chances it was a coincidence ?

He sighed when he saw the guy for the fifth time , turning to him , "Hey , can I help you with anything ?"

The guy looked up in surprise , cheeks turning red , "Wh-What ?"

"I don't mean to be rude , but I've seen you following me around the store ." Louis said , "Is there anything you need from me ?"

The guy shifted on his feet , "Right , ehm - sorry , I didn't mean to be weird . Kind of late for that , isn't it ?" He chuckled humorlessly . "I just - you're --"

"Do we know each other ? I don't know who you are ." Louis shook his head , the guy shook his head , "No no , we don't know each other ." He then took a deep breath , "I just saw you walking into the store and you're really beautiful and I was trying to talk myself into asking you out but I was nervous ."

Louis pursed his lips together , arms crossing over his chest . "Oh . Well , I - I'm sorry that I snapped at you . Also , I have a boyfriend ."

"Oh - oh okay . Right . Sorry again . Have a good day ." The guy gave him a small smile and left . 

Just as he left , Harry came up behind him from the other side of the aisle , "Hey Lou , got our car outside ."

Louis turned to him and pressed his finger to his lips to shush him , "You just missed it ." He whispered , Harry furrowed his eyebrows , "What happened ?" He whispered back , arm going around Louis protectively .

"Let's finish and I'll tell you in the car ." Louis grabbed Harry's arm with one hand , the other holding the cart .

Harry looked around confused as he followed Louis . They added a few more items into the cart before going to pay and pack everything into bags .

"Well ? Going to tell me now ?" Harry asked as he started loading the backseat of the car , Louis bit his lower lip , "This guy was following me around the store , and --"

"What ??" Harry frowned , "What the fuck ?"

"He was subtle about it , but I still saw him , then when I saw him for like the fifth time I confronted him . --"

"Baby what if he was dangerous ?"

"He wanted to ask me out and was nervous about it , then I told him I have a boyfriend and he left . Just as he left you walked over , literally a second later ."

Harry frowned , he looked around the parking lot of the store , locking eyes with a guy who was staring at them . The guy's eyes widened and he looked away quickly , grabbing his cart and walking the other way towards his car .

"Is that him ?" He nodded his head forward , Louis turned his head and sighed , "Yeah . Was a bit weird , there ."

Harry finished loading the groceries and shut the car door , "I'll put the cart back , wait in the car for me ." He handed Louis the keys and walked away with the cart .

Louis watched him for a bit before getting in the passenger's seat , Harry returned quickly and took the keys from Louis , starting the car .

"Are we still going for a walk on the beach ?" Louis asked as he put on his seatbelt , Harry pulled out of the parking spot before putting his hand on Louis' thigh , "Have other plans for you ."

"What plans ?" Louis asked , letting out a soft gasp when Harry grasped his inner thigh tighter , before he was giggling .

"What's funny ?" Harry asked , a smile slowly tugging on his lips at the sight of Louis' smile and the sound of his giggles .

Louis wrapped his hand around his forearm , "You're cute when you're jealous ." He couldn't control another giggle , his small shoulders shaking a bit .

"I'm not jealous ."

"Oh , then why are you grabbing my thigh like this and suggesting we're about to have sex , after I told you someone asked me out ?" Louis challenged with a teasing smile , squealing when Harry reached to tickle the back of his knee a little , "Shut up ."

"I know I'm right ." Louis laughed , "You're cuuute Haribo ."

Harry laid out a blanket on the sand and put the two tupperware boxes on it ; He and Louis were supposed to go for a walk , but Louis still felt like he couldn't walk properly yet .

Louis put the two water bottles down before grabbing Harry's hands , "Help me sit ."

Harry smirked as he slowly helped Louis lower himself down , Louis smacked his calf when he was finally sat down , "Drop that smirk , you did this to me ."

"I don't remember you telling me to stop ." Harry sat next to him before reaching for one of the boxes , he opened it and handed it to Louis , "There ."

Louis took a chocolate cookie and munched on half of it , feeding the other half to Harry .

"We really need to take pictures , I don't think we have any good ones from out here yet ." Louis took his phone out and took pictures of the ocean , before taking a few selfies with Harry . 

They turned to lay down on their fronts and took pictures with the ocean behind them , staying laying down for a bit as they listened to the waves crashing on the shore .

Louis turned to lay on his front facing the ocean , playing with the soft sand a bit , "The night before the accident , I spent the night sleeping out here ." 

Harry joined him , arms crossed under himself as he kept quiet .

"I put a blanket and brought a pillow and another blanket to cover myself with , and snacks and everything ." Louis smiled to himself , "The sound of the waves was really calming and I remember it being a really good sleep . Woke up with the sun , Dan , mum's newly-wed busband at the time , came out here and brought me hot chocolate and told me how nice it was to see someone so in love with what they like to do .

"Then I was on the surdboard for most of the day , and - and it was around three in the afternoon . We were supposed to go out as a family to this restaurant my mum was talking about , and so I wanted those last few moments there to be good . But I got distracted , wanted to catch the bigger waves , and got washed away . Then the shark was there and the lifeguards didn't make it in time ."

Harry shifted closer to press their sides together , leaning his head to rest on his shoulder . He could hear the sadness and nostalgy in his voice , and was relieved to see no tears ; it killed him to see Louis crying .

"I really want these three weeks to fix what I remember from Australia and surfing ." Louis leaned his head on Harry's , "Knowing I have you here is really helping ."

"I'm always here , baby , you can count on it ." Harry kissed his shoulder , "Doesn't matter if it's for the good or the bad - I'm here ."

"I know ." Louis nodded , "I'm here for you too . Always ."

"I know ." Harry whispered with a smile , "We'll make these three weeks the best we can ."

"It's already perfect . Can't wait for the rest of it ." Louis turned a bit and pressed their lips together , Harry moved himself closer like a magnet .
