Louis watched through the window as Harry shook the hand of the guy from the shipping company , before the guy went into his truck and Harry walked up the pathway . They were getting ready to leave to Australia in a day , and made sure to ship Louis' surfboard and waterproof prosthetic safely to the beach house Harry rented for their entire stay .

Harry walked into the house and went to the living room , smiling when he saw Louis standing near the window . He wrapped his arms around him from behind and squeezed him , "Getting so close now ."

Louis took one of Harry's hands and pressed it to his chest over his heart , "My heart has been racing all day since we started packing ."

Harry leaned down to kiss his cheek lovingly , "Anything I can do to help you ?"

"I don't know , you're already doing everything I'd want you to ." Louis leaned back against him , "Just - hold me for now ?"

"Of course ." Harry smiled and held him closer , "Want to cuddle in bed for a bit ?"

A smile stretched on Louis' lips , "Our bed has clothes all over it , and our suitcases ."

Harry scrunched his nose , "Right . We can cuddle on the couch , then I'll go cook something ."

"Okay ." Louis nodded , chuckling when Harry picked him up and carried him to the couch .

Louis yawned into his hand and leaned his head on Harry's shoulder , "What time do we board ?"

Harry looked down at their tickets , "Ten minutes . Stay up for longer , we have a seven hours flight to Miami ."

"And then six more hours to LA , and then nine hours to Australia ." Louis closed his eyes , "Enough time to sleep ."

"Don't fall asleep on me , I can't carry you into the plane ." Harry chuckled , "I would if I could have ."

Louis pouted a bit and lifted his head up , Harry lifted his arm up and put it on the back of Louis' chair , "Ten more minutes then you can sleep the entire flight ."

"Your shoulder is mine the second we sit down , you do realize that , right ?" Louis asked and poked him under his arm , Harry smiled , "Sounds wonderful ."

They boarded the plane and sat next to each other , buckling up . Luckily behind them were the emergency exits , so once the plane was steady they lowered the backs of their seats and fell right asleep .

They were woken up by a flight attendant who told them they were landing soon and needed to put their seats up and buckle up again . They made quick trips to the toilet and returned to their seats , Louis sighed , "We actually slept the entire flight , who would've thought ."

"We were exhausted , love ." Harry grabbed his hand , "We have a few hours to get to the connection flight so we can stop to eat somewhere ."

The plane landed in Miami , they got off and went to get their passports checked , before taking their luggages . It took them a bit of time to find their next flight , they gave away their luggages again and got their tickets , going through more security .

"How long until our flight ?" Louis asked and pulled his phone out , pouting a bit , "We have like three hours until we board ."

"Let's grab something to eat , what do you want ?" Harry asked and looked around , Louis wrapped his arm around Harry's bicep , "Is it weird to go to McDonald's ? It's like five a.m right now ."

Harry chuckled , "Never . Let's go ."

They boarded the plane to LA , landed in LA , caught their connection flight to Australia - and that was when Louis felt his eyes dampening .

He was looking out of the window when it dawned on him he was on his way to where he was attacked , traumatized , lost his leg , hospitalized - where his life changed .

Harry was sleeping next to him ; their seats were in first class , much comfier than the former two flights ; Harry was covered in a blanket with the seat all the way down to a bed , Louis wiped under his eyes and sniffled quietly .

It was barely a minute later that he felt Harry's hand on his thigh , "Hey , baby - baby why are you crying ?" Harry asked in barely a whisper , a frown on his face as he sat up to face Louis better .

Louis gave him a smile through his tears , "I-I'm just - I'm alright , I promise ."

Harry shook his head and swiped his thumb under his eye , "Why tears ?"

"I - I think it just hit me . For real ." Louis turned to look out of the window , "That I'm about to be in Australia , where I - where I lost my leg and was in a hospital for like three months ." He stopped to sniffle , "Where I was traumatized . Now I'm going back there and I'm doing everything that lead up to it ."

Harry shook his head , "You never have to go back in the ocean if you don't want to . I want you to listen to yourself ."

"Well that's the thing , I want to ." Louis chuckled a bit , "I want to go back on the surfboard , I want to go back in the ocean . I really , really can't wait , Haribo . It scares me , but I want it . I know saying it while crying might not be very convincing but I promise I want it ."

"I believe you , baby ." Harry nodded , "Hurts me to see you in tears ." He took his hand and kissed the back of it , "Come here ." He pulled him into a tight hug , Louis sighed out as he let himself melt into Harry's warmth . They were both stinking from so many flights but he couldn't care less and hugged Harry tighter .

Harry rubbed his back , "Wish we could've cuddled properly right now ."

"We have enough time for cuddles ." Louis pulled back to look at him , Harry smiled , "Just cuddling ?"

Louis smiled teasingly , "And surfing , and tanning on the beach ..."

Harry smirked , "Right ."

"Shut it ." Louis gave his shoulder a light shove and settled back into his seat , Harry poked him in the side , "You looove me ." He grinned when Louis let out a giggle and grabbed his hand away .

The couple landed in Australia .

Louis held his small luggage with one hand , his free hand wrapped around Harry's bicep as they waited for their luggages .

Harry looked down at him and smiled , "Feeling okay ?"

"I'm okay , I just don't know if I'm tired or not ." Louis smiled a bit , "All these flights got my clock messed up ."

"I can't wait to shower , I feel too icky . we've been on planes for a total of twenty one hours , not to include the time inbetween flights ." Harry scrunched his nose , Louis squeezed his hand around his bicep , "Can I shower with you ?" He asked quietly .

"You never have to ask . The answer is always yes ." Harry moved his arm to rest around his shoulders , Louis scrunched his nose before pinching it , "You do stink , Jesus Christ ." He pushed away from Harry , chuckling at his offended face .

They took their luggages and left the airport , the sun was slowly going down .

"Haribo , I - can I sit ? I'm - sorry I'm just getting really unconfortable with the prosthetic ." Louis gave him an apologetic look , "Had it on for too long now ."

"Yeah , yeah of course -- here ." He helped Louis to a nearby bench and put the two luggages next to him , "I'll grab us a taxi quickly , think you'll be okay for a bit longer ?"

"Yeah I'll be fine ." Louis assured , "Thank you ."

Harry kissed his forehead and moved to the road , Louis watched as he talked to a few drivers before shaking one's hand with a smile . He turned to Louis and hurried over , taking the two luggages , "Let's go love , we'll be there in no time ."

Louis stood up and took the two small luggages they brought , following Harry to the taxi . The driver loaded their belongings while Harry opened the backseat door for Louis , "Get in ."

Louis kissed his cheek and got into the backseat , Harry made sure all of their things were loaded before getting in the backseat aswell .

Louis was exhausted by the time they reached the beach house ; his prosthetic was getting annoyingly uncomfortable from not taking it off for so long , he was stinking and in need of a shower , his muscles hurting from all of the flights and not getting proper sleep .

But the moment he stepped out of the taxi it was all pushed aside ; the view was breathtaking . The ocean waves crashed on the shore , the sand was almost white , the smell was so salty and the breeze made him shiver .

Harry watched him as the driver took out their luggages , he took everything and paid the man , struggling to carry four luggages up the pathway .

"Baby ." He chuckled a bit , "I love you and I love that you're enjoying the view , but I'm going to need a bit of help here ."

Louis turned to face him , he nodded and took his two luggages . They reached the door , Harry handed Louis the key , "There ."

"Me ?" Louis asked , Harry nodded and smiled as Louis took it and opened the door .

"Oh , this is such a cute place ." Louis carried his belongings in , Harry followed right behind him .

The living room and kitchen were spacious , there were stairs to second floor to the master bedroom and bathroom . But what pulled Louis' attention was the large glass doors , leading to a patio watching over the ocean .

He let go of everything he was holding and made his way to the glass doors , sliding them open and stepping outside . It was nighttime already , but the view was just as pretty . The moon was high up in the sky , breeze blowing , trees moving around .

Harry approached from behind and wrapped his arms around him , pressing his lips to Louis' temple , "Pretty , isn't it ?"

Louis gripped Harry's hands , "I didn't even realize how much I missed it ."

"Once your surfboard and prosthetic get here , we're going in there ." Harry kissed his cheek , then the corner of his lips , "For now let's go shower and order some food for dinner , sounds alright ?"

"Sounds great ."

"We can eat out here , too ." Harry smiled , Louis smiled and nodded , "Would love that ."
