Louis stood out on the balcony , watching as the marine was getting closer and closer . He smiled when Harry pressed himself against his back , arms around his waist and chin on his shoulder .

"I wish we could've stayed for longer ." Louis leaned back against him , Harry kissed near his ear , "I'm so proud of you , you know that ?"

"Stop it ." Louis shook his head yet still smiled , trying to pull away from Harry's embrace . Harry held him tighter and peppered kisses on his neck , "No , I'm serious . We started this progress about a year ago , and you've come so far - baby you went in the ocean with me , that's just incredible ."

Louis blushed soft-pink and turned around to face him , cupping his cheeks , "Thank you for being there through it all ." He pulled him closer and pressed their lips together , Harry held him tighter .

Soon enough the cruise ship reached it's destination , Louis and Harry grabbed their suitcases and backpacks and left the room , going up to the reception to give back their room key cards . Harry kept his arm around Louis as they walked across the bridge to get off the ship , Louis only smiled and pressed closer to his side .

"Back on land , feels amazing ." Louis sighed out as they stepped off the bridge , "The ground is stable , can you believe it ?"

Harry only chuckled and squeezed him into his side , "Had the most amazing four days with you ."

Louis poked his dimple , "Most amazing four days ."

They went to the parking lot , Louis whined a bit when Harry said he forgot where they parked .

"Haribooo ." Louis pouted , Harry squished his cheeks , "Shut it , let me think ."

"With what brain , exactly , you goober ?"

Harry scrunched his nose as he tried not to smile , "Just wait til we get home , can't bite your limbs off in the middle of this parking lot ."

Louis gaped as he played along , "I only have three though ! Don't take those away too ." He punched him lightly in the abs , Harry let go of his suitcase and wrapped his arms around him , leaning down to bite his shoulder .

"Stop , you animal ." Louis laughed as he scrunched his shoulder up to his ear , Harry kissed his cheek and pulled his arms away , "Let's go , I think I remember where we parked ."

"Did your mum say if they can make it ?" Harry asked as he settled on the couch next to Louis , who then laid himself down with his head on Harry's lap .

"Yeah , they'll be here ." Louis smiled , "Haven't seen them in two months , miss my little monsters ."

"Perfect ." Harry ran his fingers through Louis' hair , "I'll tell my mum we'll have dinner with them on Saturday here at ours , she wants to come over and help me cook ."

"I want to help too ." Louis turned to lay on his back so he could look up at him , "Give me simple stuff to do ."

Harry poked his cheek , "How many times have we been through this ?"

"Please , Haribo , I promise to do my best ." Louis pulled his bottom lip out , "I want to help ."

"Okay ." Harry gave in , smiling as Louis grinned at him , "Knew you couldn't resist me ."

"I can never resist you ." Harry traced the crinkles by his eyes , Louis bit his bottom lip and brought his hand up to the back of Harry's neck , and pulled him down to kiss him . Harry hummed and cradled Louis' head with his arms , pulling back a bit to smile , "Funny how you still haven't got tired of kissing me even after four days of making out everywhere ."

"We didn't make out everywhere ." Louis chuckled , Harry rolled his eyes playfully , "That's because you didn't want to make out on the reception desk ."

"For a damn good reason , Haribo !" Louis smacked his arm yet still laughed .

"Smack me again , I dare you ." Harry flicked his ear and sat back up .

Louis held it together for barely a few seconds before landing a smack to Harry's arm and quickly sitting up , he stood up from the couch but was immediately pulled back into Harry's arms in a fit of giggles as Harry tickled him breathless .

Louis grinned as he watched the two cars parking in front of their house , he walked down the two front steps to greet his family .

Daisy and Phoebe jumped out of their seats and ran to hug him , he squeezed each girl into him and kissed the tops of their heads . "Missed you , loves ."

"Missed you more ." Phoebe cuddled into him , before Dan called the two to get their bags from the trunk .

Louis went to give his mum a hug as she stepped out of the car , Jay rubbed his back , "Hi dear , you doing alright ?"

"Doing great , better now that you're all here ." Louis nodded , Jay gave him a gentle squeeze and a kiss on the cheek before pulling back , "Let me get the twins ."

Louis turned to hug Lottie , who stood on her tip-toes a bit to reach his ear , "Got some news to tell you ."

"Ooh , what is it ?" Louis whispered back , Lottie chuckled , "Later , I promise ."

"No , don't do this to me ." Louis kept holding her when she tried pulling back , "Tell me now , you have to ."

"I'll tell you later , I promise ." She chuckled , Louis pulled back , "I swear if you don't tell me I'm taking notes from Harry on torture ."

"God , you two ." Lottie rolled her eyes playfully , Louis poked her side and turned to hug Felicite , "Missed you a lot ."

"Missed you too ." Felicite smiled , "How was the cruise with Harry ?"

"You have no idea how amazing it was ." Louis grinned , "When you all get settled I'll tell you about it ."

They pulled back from their hug , Louis turned to see where Doris and Ernest were , raising his eyebrows in surprise when he saw the two of them already in Harry's arms as he spoke to Dan .

"Alright , get your bags in , I'll be right there ." He told Lottie and Felicite before going to Harry , he put his hands on his hips , "Don't I get a hug too ?" He asked the twins .

Doris turned to him and smiled , extending her arms out towards him . He smiled as he grabbed her from Harry's arms and held her to his chest , "My baby ." He kissed her cheek a few times , "Did you miss me ?"

"Missed you lots , Achoo ." She cuddled into his neck , Louis cooed and squeezed her , "Let me cuddle your brother too , now , okay ? We'll have more cuddles later ."

Doris nodded as he was placed down , running towards the house when Jay called her .

Louis took Ernest from Harry and followed Doris into the house , Harry and Dan right behind him with more bags .

"We can play after dinner , before you go to sleep ." Louis promised Ernest , when he told him he brought a puzzle in his bag . "Now go explore a bit ." He put him down .

Harry helped Dan carry the bags upstairs to the guest bedrooms ; in one room Jay , Dan , Ernest and Doris would be sleeping , the other room would be shared by the four girls . Two sets of air mattresses were already in the rooms with sheets , pillows and blankets .

Louis worked on making tea , grabbing Lottie when she was near him , "Tell me . Now ." He locked his arms around her , Lottie laughed , "Okay , fine . So impatient ."

"Talk ." Louis kept one arm around her shoulders , using his other hand to continue prepare the mugs as the water boiled .

"So ehm , there's this guy I was talking to , remember I told you ?"

"Yeah , don't remember his name though ."

"Scott . So anyway , ehm , right before the school year ended - he uh , he asked me out ."

Louis grinned , "Aw , how cute ! What did you say ?"

"Well , I said yes , obviously . Took my time to know him properly before I let him know I was interested ."

"Good , that's great . When are you going out ?"

"That's the thing , we haven't set a date yet ." Lottie went to get the kettle , "I wanted to tell you first in person , before we officially plan something ."

"Aren't you sweet ." Louis pinched her cheek playfully , Lottie whined and pushed his hand away , "Lou , ugh , my make up ."

Louis chuckled , "Just finish making the tea , I'll go get Doris and Ernie ." He left the kitchen , seeing Jay walking down the stairs , "Mum , tea's about to be ready . Where are Doris and Ernie ?"

"No idea ." She said and went to check the living room , seeing only Daisy and Phoebe sitting on the couch .

Louis went to the backyard , "Ernie ? Doris ?" He stepped outside right in time to see Doris falling into their pool .

He gasped , hearing Jay from right behind him gasping aswell before calling for Dan . But without thinking twice Louis marched to the pool and jumped inside , diving underwater and grabbing Doris .

He held her tightly to his chest as they resurfaced , Doris clung to him and coughed .

"Are you okay , love ?" Louis rubbed her back , patting gently as she kept coughing . He looked over to his mother , who was watching him with wide eyes , Dan right behind her watching in surprise .

Harry hurried over and kneeled near the edge of the pool , grabbing Doris from Louis' arms and holding her tightly , "It's okay , you're alright now ." Harry held her tightly with one arm , holding his other hand out for Louis to help him out of the pool .

Louis slowly climbed out , Harry frowned , "We'll get your prosthetic fixed first thing in the morning ." He helped him stand up , wrapping an arm around his waist to help him walk into the house .

Jay snapped out of her shock and took Doris into her arms , "Let's get you in shower , sweet ." She carried her into the house , Dan put his hand on Louis' shoulder , "You jumped in the pool ."

Louis nodded with a faint smile on his lips , "Yeah ."

"That - ... wow , I - I'm sorry , I'm just surprised ." Dan squeezed his shoulder , Louis shook his head , "It's alright , I'm kind of surprised myself ."

"Get inside , go shower , we'll talk later ." Dan moved away from the door , Harry helped Louis upstairs and left him to shower , making a phone call in the meantime to the medical centre to make an emergency appointment to fix Louis' prosthetic .

Jay showered both the little twins , before going downstairs with them to the living room . She played cartoons for them on TV before going to the kitchen , seeing Harry , Dan , Lottie and Felicite around the table .

She took a seat next to Lottie , in front of Harry . "You weren't surprised when he jumped into the pool ."

Harry smiled , "We've been working on it the past year , and he's been doing amazing - his progress is incredible . I'll wait for him to come back and he'll tell you all about it ."

Soon enough Louis texted Harry he was done getting ready and asked him to help him come downstairs , Harry excused himself and went to help Louis , bringing him to the dining table and sitting him down in his seat before going to start making dinner , with Lottie and Felicite helping him .

Jay grabbed Louis' hand , "Boo ."

"I know , mum ." Louis smiled at her , "It wasn't a big deal , I've done greater things I can assure you . I mean , two days ago I went in the ocean ." He grinned to himself , "The cruise let the passengers into the water , so Harry and I went to try . And I did it , I was really in the water ."

"Oh Lou , you have no idea how proud I am . I'm so happy for you ." Jay smiled as she squeezed his hand , "A little warning would've been nice , my heart dropped seeing you jumping into the pool ."

"Sorry ." Louis chuckled , Jay shook her head , "I'm only joking . It was a nice surprise . Really threw me off , wasn't expecting that ."

"Sunday morning we'll have a nice pool day , the weather should be nice and warm ." Louis smiled , "I'll go in with you ."

"Sounds lovely ." Jay grinned .
