Harry left the police station , after spending most of his morning filing a report and a request for a restraining order against his ex , Ben . He got into the car and drove to Louis' work , the flower shop .

He parked the car outside and grabbed the small paper bag with cookies he bought from the bakery on his way to the store , and walked into the shop .

"Hi , I'm Liv , how can I help you ?" The girl behind the desk smiled at him , Harry smiled , "Hi , I'm looking for Louis , actually ."

"Ooh ! Are you Haribo , then ?" She asked with a grin , Harry chuckled , "The one and only ."

"God , he doesn't shut up about you ." She rolled her eyes playfully , "I'll go get him for you ." She walked further into the store .

A few seconds later Louis walked over with a smile , "You didn't tell me you were coming over ." He reached his arms up and linked his hands at the back of Harry's neck , Harry leaned down to kiss him as he held his waist , "That's called a surprise ."

Louis stood on his tip-toes to kiss him again . "Was it alright at the police station ?"

"Yeah , it was fine . Filed some papers and I'll talk to our lawyer in a bit . Already told him about the restraining order before I got to the station , just need to let him know a few things ." Harry rubbed his hands up and down his sides a bit , "It might take a bit of time , but I just want to know we're doing something about it ."

"I know ." Louis nodded , "I ehm - I want to ask something ." He shifted on his feet a bit , lowering his arms from Harry's neck to rest his hands between their chests .

"Okay ."

"I was - was thinking , ehm .." Louis traced the material of Harry's jumper , "I want to try to , uh , go to the beach ." He said quietly . "Doesn't have to be this week , or the next one . I just - I want to try , soon ."

Harry smiled and pressed a few kisses to his forehead , before leaning down to kiss his lips . "I'd love to be there with you ."

"Who said I was taking you with me ?" Louis asked teasingly and quickly pulled himself out of Harry's arms , knowing he would get tickled for sassing him .

Harry raised his eyebrows in surprise , forcing down a smile when Louis giggled into his palm . With two long strides he wrapped his arms around Louis tightly , making him squeak out a laugh as he tried squirming away .

"You little shit ." Harry growled playfully and lowered his head down to his shoulder , biting through his soft sweater . Louis laughed and pushed at his chest half-heartedly , his laughter getting louder when Harry nibbled on his neck under his ear , where he knew it tickled him .

"Y-You monster !" Louis successfully pushed out of Harry's arms and put his hand to his neck , his ear pressed to his shoulder for extra protection .

"Think twice next time before you sass me ." Harry smiled mischievously , before grabbing his face with both hands and pressing a kiss to his lips , "Brought you chocolate-chip cookies , feel free sharing them . I really need to get back to the parlor now ."

"Okay . I'll see you at home , then ." Louis nodded , Harry pressed a few more kisses to his lips before he left the shop .

It was a week later , when Louis decided he was ready to go to the beach .

Harry brought a blanket for them to sit on , and a reusable bag with snacks , fruit and drinks . It took them a bit over an hour to reach the closest beach , deciding to spend their afternoon there and watch the sunset .

"You ready ?" Harry asked as he parked the car , Louis took a deep breath and nodded , "Ready . I-I mean , it's not like we're getting in the water ."

"It's also too cold ." Harry nodded , "We're just going to sit there on the sand , watch the sunset , eat our snacks and make out a lot ." Harry said with a smile , trying to bring a smile to Louis' lips , which turned out to be a success .

Louis poked his dimple and nodded , "Okay ."

They stepped out of the car , Harry held the blanket under his arm and slung the bag over his shoulder , his other hand free to hold Louis' as they walked closer to the beach .

Louis squeezed his hand , Harry slowed down and turned to look at him , "Want to stop for a minute ?"

"No . No , I - ..." Louis took in a deep breath , "I feel excited . It's kind of weird ."

"For you to feel excited about coming to the beach ?"

"Yeah . My stomach is twisting a bit , but in a good kind of way . Kind of like butterflies ." Louis put his free hand on his stomach , "I used to get this feeling whenever I came to the beach after not being there for a long time , the excitement of - of going back on the surfboard ."

Harry squeezed his hand gently and pulled him a bit closer into his side , "You alright to keep on going ?"

Louis nodded and followed Harry down the short trail ; the sound of the waves was getting louder , the salty scent was burning his nose , the sand under his shoes was making him a bit weak at the knees .

"Beautiful beach , isn't it ?" Harry smiled softly , Louis nodded as he took in the view , "It is ."

"Let's go find a spot to sit ." Harry looked to his side , pointing to where there was a large boulder , "Let's go sit there ." He led Louis to the spot , momentarily letting go of his hand so he could spread the blanket on the sand .

Louis helped him and carefully sat down , Harry put the bag down on the sand and sat next to Louis , leaning back on his hands , "Tell me a story about the beach ." He asked , watching as Louis closed his eyes and let his head rest back on his shoulders , before opening them again .

"I was about sixteen , and my best friends came to the beach with me . Oli and I let Stan bury us in the sand , but then Calvin - that little bitch - tickled our feet , and I threw sand at him and it got in his eyes . I still don't feel sorry ."

Harry laughed , "That's cute ."

Louis smiled gently , then pinched his own nose for a second , "The smell of the salt is burning my nose - but I - I kind of missed it ."

"Come closer ." Harry wrapped his arms around Louis and pulled him into his chest , tilting his head up to kiss his lips . Louis smiled and cupped his cheeks , shifting to sit himself between Harry's legs sideways .

Harry kissed him deeper , squeezing them tightly together until Louis tapped his bicep and giggled into the kiss , "I need to breathe ."

"I'm helping you breathe ." Harry kissed him again and again , smiling as Louis kept chuckling . He pulled back and traced his red lips , "Love kissing you ."

"Is that the only thing you love ?" Louis poked the tip of his nose .

"I also love cuddling you ." Harry brought him into his chest , cuddling him . "I love biting you ." He took one of Louis' hands and bit his knuckles playfully , Louis gasped and pulled his hand away , "Animal ."

Harry laughed softly and pressed a quick kiss to his lips , then reached his hand out to grab the bag he brought . He pulled out crisps and handed the bag to Louis , then took two cans of coke out of the bag aswell .

Louis shifted in Harry's lap , turning to lean backwards against his chest so he was facing the sea . He opened the bag of crisps and took one out , holding it up for Harry to bite on .

"You feeling okay , baby ?" Harry asked , pressing one of his hands to Louis' stomach . "It looks like you are , but I just want to make sure ."

"I'm okay ." Louis smiled , "It's quite comforting coming back to the beach , after avoiding it for so long . Well - I mean , it's not like I haven't tried before , but it was probably too early for me to try . I'm feeling very much okay with being here right now . I kind of want to try going in the water , but I know it's just too cold , and I'm easily cold so I'll save that for another time ."

Harry kissed the top of his head , "We could go in the water you know . Even if it's cold ." He smiled , Louis scrunched his nose , "No thank you , don't want to freeze to death ."

"You cold , baby ?" Harry shrugged off his coat , then the soft jacket he had under it , covering Louis with his jacket before putting his coat back on .

"Thanks ." Louis smiled , Harry wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him closer , pressing his nose to Louis' neck . Louis snuggled closer and turned his head to the side to kiss Harry's cheek , before pulling his phone out of his pocket .

He took a few selfies with Harry cuddled into his neck , then took a video of the two of them , before flipping the camera to show the view of the beach . He took another selfie video , nudging Harry's cheek , "Haribo ."

"Hmm ."

"Look up ." Louis smiled , Harry looked up and smiled when he saw the camera . He peppered Louis' cheek with kisses , then kissed his neck a few times aswell . Louis grinned and stopped the recording , then they took a few more selfies together .

When he was done he put his phone on the blanket and tucked his hands under the jacket Harry covered him with , Harry held him even closer and tucked his hands under Louis' jumper on his stomach . Louis' stomach jumped at the touch of his cold hands , slowly relaxing as his hands warmed up .

He glanced at Harry from the corner of his eye , biting his lip not to giggle when Harry's fingers traced his tummy and belly button . But then he gasped inaudibly when Harry's fingertips got to the waistband of his jeans , tucking his fingers underneath , over his boxers elastic .

"Harry - we're - we're in public ." Louis shifted a bit , blush rising to his cheeks . Harry smiled and kissed under his ear , "The beach is empty , the sun is almost fully down . No one can see us ." He pulled his hand back and pressed it to his stomach , "I won't if you're not comfortable ."

Louis bit his lower lip ; he was blushing deep red - he'd never done anything like that , in a rather too public place . But then , he and Harry grinded quite a few times in his tattoo parlor office .

He shifted backwards into Harry , now fully pressed against him - shoulders , chest to back , all the way down to his crotch . Harry kept his lips pressed to his neck , Louis made sure they were covered with Harry's jacket , "Y-You can - yeah . Please ."

They returned home , Louis' flushed cheeks returned to their normal colour and he hurried into shower , too uncomfortable in his poorly cleaned underwear . Harry smirked to himself and took care of ther leftover snacks and fruit in the bag they took with them , before going upstairs to join Louis in the shower .

"Hello , fancy seeing you here ." Harry stepped into the shower after undressing , Louis smiled as he rinsed the shampoo from his hair , "You'd better not try anything cheeky , Haribo , I just want to shower and order our pizza ."

Harry chuckled and kissed his shoulder , "Just because you asked so nicely ."

They showered quickly , Harry went downstairs to the living room with his phone , ordering their pizza . Just as he hung up Louis joined him , wearing soft joggers and one of Harry's hoodies . 

"When's our pizza here ?" Louis asked as he stood in front of Harry , running his fingers through his hair . Harry leaned into his hand , "Twenty minutes ."

"Good ." Louis smiled and lowered himself to straddle Harry's thighs , leaning him back on the couch . He pressed a kiss to his lips as he cupped Harry's crotch over his sweatpants , "Going to return the favour ."

They finished their pizza , the movie credits started rolling . Louis was nodding off on Harry's chest , eyes fluttering open when Harry caressed his cheek .

"Baby , let's get to bed ." Harry slowly sat up , bringing Louis with him . Louis pouted as he stood up from Harry's lap and stretched , Harry stood up from the couch and went to double check that their front door and windows are locked .

Louis went upstairs and brushed his teeth sleepily , just as he finished Harry walked into the bathroom .

"Warm up the bed for me ." Harry smiled and caressed his waist as they switched , Louis sat on the bed and took his joggers off , before pulling off his prosthetic and fabrics .

"Haribooo ." He tucked himself into bed , Harry finished brushing his teeth and walked into their room , "Baby ."

"Get in bed and rub my back ."  Louis patted the space next to him , smiling as Harry joined him . Harry held Louis close to his chest and tucked his hands under his hoodie , running his fingers up and down his back .

Louis hummed softly and shifted a bit when the touch tickled , before settling down and falling asleep minutes later .

Harry kissed the top of his head and squeezed him closer , thoughts running through his head . In two months they'd be celebrating their one year anniversary ; was it too early to think about marriage ?
