Chapter 11

OMG!!!!! I love ALL of your comments. :) Thank you so much, I am so happy right now!!! :DDD The reason why I've decided to update a little earlier than necessary is 'cause that I'm going back to my home country on Wednesday, for about two weeks. It's Tuesday here, and I need to start packing. I'm not sure if my grandparents have WiFi at their house, or a computer! I can't write without it! My phone is ancient, (lol. Wait, I'm serious.) so I can't read on it, or anything..... :( I'm going to miss you guys a lot, and please know that I can't update, not, I won't update. I don't want to offend you guys in any kind of way. <3 I'll try and update asap! :D

So.... chapter 11 for all of you amazing people!

P.S I looooove Plagg! He wasn't one of my favorite characters, but as I watched some episodes again to try and follow his personality, I came to adore him. He's a bit like me:

1. Grumpy. (Literally all the time.)

2. Annoying. (I am very, very annoying! lol.)

3. Loves cheese. (What? I like cheese, got a problem? Hm? Hm? *Puts a dagger to your neck.* jk.)

4. Is magical. (I am very magical. Or try to be. Or maybe, I'm not magical at all! Just think I am. :P)

"Mend her heart? But Plagg-"

The black kwami glared at his master.

"Shut. Up. It's you who hurt the girl, and you should try to do something about it."

Adrien put a hand through his silky hair. Plagg was right. He was responsible for all of those attacks.

No! It was Chloe!

A small voice inside of his head objected. But Marinette thought that he was the one who had sent the text message, no matter how much he tried to reason with her.

"Fine. Just tell me what I need to do." Adrien sighed.

"What?" Plagg stared at him, "I can't tell you how. You have to do it. Haven't you heard about passion? enthusiasm? Being sincere? You sound like one of those photo shoot directors." he snorted.

Adrien resisted the urge to bang his head against the stone wall.

"Okay..... Let's just get out of here and go home. We'll plan it out there."

Plagg gave a small shrug, but then his eyes widened.

"Where's my Camembert?" he squawked.

Adrien smiled wickedly.

"I don't have any. You ate all of it before transforming, remember?"

Plagg bit Adrien's finger.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adrien peered out to see if Soul Stealer had arrived yet. She had said that she would get revenge on him when he was transformed as Chat, so he assumed that this would be the first place she would come.

But, as he skimmed across the area, he could find no trace of her.

"Okay, all you need to do is quietly go inside..." Adrien murmured to himself as he pressed into a button.

The machine scanned his face, and after a few seconds and a satisfied beep, the black iron gates slid open.

Adrien tip-toed into the large garden, and pulled out a silver key from his pocket. It felt cold and rough in his hands. He inserted it into the lock, and the door opened easily.

Luckily, his father had gone on a business trip, and he knew that Natalie must have fallen asleep. His footsteps echoed through the big and empty house. The sound sent chills down his spine.

What Adrien longed for most was a house filled with laughter and warmth, love and happiness. Not a cold, empty place he had to call home. It was worse with his mother gone and his father so distant.....

Adrien blinked away the coming tears, and shook his head. He hurriedly climbed up the marble stairs, hanging his head to avoid the enormous, dull painting of him and his father.

His hand was about to touch the door handle, when suddenly Plagg popped up from his jacket pocket.

"I sense something in there Adrien." he said.

"I doubt it Plagg. I thought that all you could sense was cheese?" Adrien joked.

But the kwami squinted his big eyes at the door, as if he could see through it.

"No, there's definitely something in there." Plagg confirmed.

Adrien rolled his eyes, and pushed open the white door, not knowing what he was about to face.

Plagg zipped into his pocket at the speed of light, as Adrien stood, eyes wide.

Soul Stealer sat on his lounge chair, smiling serenely with legs crossed.

"Hello Adrien. I see we meet again."

Her cold voice rang through his head, as he swallowed nervously.

Soul Stealer stood up, and began to walk towards him. A flashback of a documentary he watched at school came up in front of his eyes.

Her eyes glinted with rage and madness, her smirk baring neat, white teeth. Her stance like a predator stalking its prey.

"S-stay away." Adrien stammered.

He slowly tried to back out of the door, but found it close firmly.

What in the world? When did I close.... He looked up at Soul Stealer. Oh.

"Why did you have to do it to me, Adrien?" the girl hissed, "Why did you have to break my heart? Do you know how much it hurts? Do you?"

Her voice had risen to a scream, and Adrien winced as his ears stung.

Get a grip Adrien! Find a way to fix her!

"Marinette, It wasn't me! I didn't send the-"

"Silence! I don't want to hear a silly excuse!" Soul Stealer scowled.

In double speed she pulled our her silver bow and an arrow, pointed at Adrien's chest.

"Marinette..."

Adrien desperately searched his room, to find something, to find anything.

A bouquet of flowers from a fan caught his eye, and he dashed to get it.

"U-um.... I'm sorry. H-here. This is for you." Adrien awkwardly stood there, but she did not take the flowers.

Soul Stealer did not shoot him either. Her eyes had turned glassy, as a certain purple outline he loathed appeared on her face.

(In Marinette's head.)

"Don't fall for it! He's using you so you can't take Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculouses!" Hawk Moth warned, "Didn't we make a promise, Soul Stealer? I will promise you eternal power if you get them for me!"

Oh my gosh! He's giving me flowers!

The fan girl in Marinette dreamily sighed. But Hawk Moth's booming voice made the akuma strengthen its powers once again.

The purple butterfly disappeared, replacing its absence with a smirk.

"Yes Hawk Moth."

The flowers were kicked down from Adrien's hands, and trampled on.

"These won't do for an apology. But I know what will do." Soul Stealer said in between kicks.

The colorful flowers bled of their life, leaving withered, battered mush.

Soul Stealer gripped the trembling boy's collar.

"Your pain." she whispered into his ear.

Adrien shouted in terror, and pushed her away from him with all his might.

"Stop this Marinette!" he pleaded, "You're not like this, I know you're doing this because of the akuma!"

Soul Stealer snarled as she began to shoot at him.

"I'm. So. Sick. Of. You!" she shrieked as Adrien successfully dodged her shots.

Okay, I need to find a place I can transform.

'You moron!'

A voice shouted.

Adrien raised an eyebrow as an arrow barely missed his right arm. Soul Stealer didn't have seemed to notice it, so it must have been...

Plagg?

'Yes, it's me! That girl's right. I'm also sick of you and how you think!'

Well, thank you?

'You idiot, that's not the point! You can't save Marinette when you're Chat!'

Why?

Adrien could hear the irritation in Plagg's voice alone.

'Who broke her heart?'

Um... me...

'Then who can mend it?'

Um.... me?

'Yes! Now go save your classmate!'

Okay.... I've got this. Just think everything out from the start.

Adrien ducked as an arrow almost pierced his skull.

Why did Marinette ask me out to the cinema?

Another arrow was jumped over.

Would it be because she liked me....? No way! Wait...

(Our poor Adrien is so oblivious!)

"Uh! This is useless." Soul Stealer threw her weapons onto the shining floor, and ran for Adrien.

The boy's apple green eyes closed shut as he quickly darted to the side, striking her from the side. She fell from the impact, crying out in pain.

When Adrien opened his eyes for a second, he felt guilt rise up in him when he saw her tear stained face.

It makes sense... How could I have been so stupid! The way she blushes and stutters! She had liked me all along....

A sudden blow on his jaw sent him down, followed by a kick in the stomach. Even through the pain, Adrien continued.

I broke her. It's my fault, I should have been more careful. Now... How do I get her back? Get Marinette back? Come on Agreste!

Soul Stealer smirked as a thought came to her mind. She dashed to her bow and arrows, while Adrien lay on the ground.

The ceiling was shaking in his eyes, and his body felt numb. He could barely feel the cold metal tip that was pressed to his chest.

"Any last words? Get ready to feel the pain Adrien." Soul Stealer cooed.

Wait.... That's it!

Adrien hid the grin behind a mask he used so often when modeling.

"M-marinette..." he croaked hoarsely.

"What?!" Soul Stealer thundered.

"M-marinette." Adrien gave a subtle movement with his trembling hand.

"Got something to say, Adrien? Is it an apology? If it is," her voice lowered to a growl, "You're too late."

"N-no. Come... closer. You said that I c-could say something, before.." Adrien could feel the energy rising in his body as Soul Stealer fell for his injured state.

Soul Stealer glowered at him threateningly.

"Fine. You're going to feel the pain, anyways."

Yes!

She lowered her face down to hear, when Adrien gently, but quickly held her face and pulled it down to his.

The sky met the earth as their lips pressed together.
