The railway platform witnesses almost every emotion. From sad 'good bye's to happy 'welcome's..!!! From those fearful fleeing to the excitement of coming to a new city...!!! Today Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus would again witness a reunion..!! a reunion of two friends.. rather two best friends... who have not just been a part... but has actually lived each other's life..!!!

"the train is running 3 hours late jaan.... your hostel's entry time will be over.. so just go back...!!!! don't you dare argue..!!!" screamed Taira n the phone... Taira Lahiri, a assistant engineer in one of the leading MNCs... well, she has been posted to Mumbai from Kolkata, where she belongs.... "Its my hostel, I better know..!!! you just shut up..!!!" the girl on the other end of the screamed back... she was Taira's best friend Jaan.. Jaanki... Jaanki Nigam... a M.Tech pursuer, studying in the final year, in one of the most reputed  engineering colleges of Mumbai....

Taira and Jaanki were the best of friends from the first year their Engineering... it was some ragging from the seniors that brought these two souls together... with time, their friendship grew, deepened and blended in such a way, that by the time they completed their graduation, they were called the "SOUL SISTERS.." .. they had shared almost everything...!!! starting from the hostel room... to study materials... to clothes... to perfumes... to those heartbreaks... family issues... to sibling fights... even the same crush..!!! what they didn't share was their lifestyle.... their family backgrounds..

Well these things never come in between friendships.. in their case too, this difference, rather the huge difference stood aloof...!! Taira Lahiri, born and brought up in a upper-middle class family, a princess to her parents, a teddy bear to her elder brother... is a very pampered child. But just pampered... not spoilt...... she never had to want anything from them. She was gifted with every luxury, love,  everything beforehand. She had learnt to share from every toffee to her pocket money with her bro...overall brought up with great principles and sophisticated mannerisms. She has been working in this particular company for past one year after the completion of her B.Tech... but today her face stated she was gloomy... for she was leaving her family behind... but a part of her was happy.. she would meet her bestie jaan after a year..!!

Whereas, Jaanki, Jaanki Nigam, came from not so well going family. Born and brought up among 5 siblings, she had never tasted the money shower... whatever she liked, she loved, she herself bought.. she had to share with her siblings. As if it had been a untold rule..!!! she couldn't enjoy anything alone, though she longed to... how she wanted to stay away from them, atleast for sometime.. so that she could have at least something for her... today she was also very happy... for she would meet Taira... her bestie... the one, who never cringed before sharing anything but never showed her riches... the down to earth rich girl had always been her support... varying from how to make the best use of her 'so less' pocket money and even saving  bit from it.. to... solve problems between she (Jaanki) and her family... Jaanki  after completion of her B.Tech had shifted to Mumbai in order to study M.Tech. though that was just a mask... she wanted to live alone... and now, she was living on stipend and scholarships..!!!

But sharing hostel room... with set rules and regulations. Expenses being sent by parents.... with the only goal to study, get a job, or further study was far different from staying under the same roof... as independent individuals, bearing one's own expenses... leading a life on one's own rule was something different... the girls did not know that....
