Life at home
November
11 days till Thanksgiving
Home
Today is my least favorite day, Sunday. I don't like Sunday because that means tomorrow is Monday. I absolutely hate Monday. I can't stand it. It's the beginning of every dreaded school week. It's also the busiest day of the week for me.
Another Monday, another boring lesson in all of my classes. Except history. I like history. Math used to be my favorite subject. Math and I don't get along anymore. We used to be buddies, but not anymore. Not when we started learning algebra in sixth grade. Math was perfect without the letters. Letters are for writing. Not math! I failed my first algebra quiz. It was probably the lowest grade I ever got in math. I hated math ever since then.
There's also the bullies I have to worry about. I hate bullies. Everyone does. Bullies are the lions, and I'm the prey. It sucks. Like out of all the students in my school, the bullies always choose me as their target. It's not fair.
But then, life's not fair.
" Jade! Breakfast is ready!" Mom called from downstairs. I took off my headphones, and closed the book that I was reading. That's pretty much all I do on the weekends. Read and listen to music. It helps me relax. It takes me to another world. A world with no worries or hardships. A world with no bullies or school.
" Jaaaaaddddeeee!"
Or my annoying little brother.
He burst into my room, ignoring the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door. He jumped onto my bed without asking, and started annoying the crap out of me.
" Jade! Jade! Jade! Come on, Jade! Get up! Breakfast is ready!" He yelled. I glared at him.
" I heard what mom said, now get out of my room now!" I yelled. But of course, he stubbornly refused. Annoying little brat.
" Get up! Get up!" He yelled. He jumped on top of me. That did it.
" Listen you little twerp! If you don't get off of me and get out of my room right now, I'll beat the heck out of you!" I threatened. My little brother's eyes went wide. He quickly got off of me, and ran out of my room.
" Mom! Mom! Jade called me a twerp! She said that she would beat the heck out of me!" He yelled. That's my brother. Annoying, immature, and a very loud tattletale.
" Jade!" My mom yelled. I sighed, and went downstairs. I took my time though. I wasn't in a hurry to get yelled at. Again.
The sun was out. The leaves were scattering about in the wind. I like fall. It's when all of the leaves turn different colors. It's really pretty.
I could smell the bacon in the kitchen as I walked down the stairs. I could feel my anemia starting to kick in. It happens all the time whenever I walk down the stairs. Stupid anemia. I can't do anything without getting tired. I heard the TV in the living room.
" Touchdown Patriots!" I heard the announcer yell on the TV. It was The Patriots vs The Eagles. Dad went crazy when his team scored.
" Yes!! Ha ha! Take that Eagles!" He yelled. I shook my head, and walked into the kitchen. Cameron, my annoying little brother, was already eating. He was chomping down his bacon like there was no tomorrow. I grabbed a plate, and helped myself. It was pancakes and bacon with eggs for breakfast. My favorite.
" Why did you call your little brother a twerp?" Mom asked. I glared at Cam. He gave me an evil smile. I rolled my eyes.
" He went into my room without knocking, and he jumped on my bed without asking. He also jumped on me." I said.
" That doesn't mean you call him a twerp and threaten him. That's not being a good big sister." Mom said.
" Well he wasn't being a good little brother!" I yelled.
" Don't yell at me. You know better." Mom said. I hated when she said that.
" Uggghhhh!! Why do I always get blamed for everything! He's the one that started it!" I said, pointing at Cam.
" Listen, don't yell at me and be nice to your little brother." Mom said. Cam snickered. Mom turned to him.
" And you, next time, knock first and don't jump on anyone's bed." Mom said sternly. Cam stopped snickering.
" Ok." He said. I grabbed my plate of food, and sat down next to him. I stuck out my tongue at him. He did the same thing. Luckily, mom's back was turned. Dad walked into the kitchen.
" We're winning!" He exclaimed.
" Awesome! What's the score?" I asked.
" 29 to 10! We're beating the heck out of them!" Dad yelled. Mom turned to him.
" Jade told Cam that she would beat the heck out of him. Maybe you should watch your use of words from now on." Mom said.
" Moooomm!" I yelled.
" Your father needs to know these things too. He is your father." Mom said.
Yeah, that's how my life is at home.
My life in school is so much worse.
There's the second chapter. I actually don't have a little brother, but I do have a little cousin. And boy is he annoying. But, I still love him. He is my cousin after all.
My dad's favorite football team is the Patriots. And yes, he does yell every time they score a touchdown.
I don't have a DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door, but I do like to be left alone sometimes. I'm not allowed to put that sign on my door anyway. My parents would kill me.
I do get tired whenever I walk up or down the stairs. Courtesy of having anemia.
And that's all. I hope you liked the chapter.
