•Amber's POV•
CAMP IS TODAY! We're the first words to come to my mind when I woke up that morning. A smile came to my lips as I sat up in bed. I rubbed my eyes and yawned.
My phone vibrated on the table beside my bed, I flipped it over and saw Alex's name come up. I smiled again, answering it. "Good morning, Alexander."
"Amber. Do you know what today is?"
"Um duh, it's camp day." I stated.
He laughed a little. "Yes, yes it is. I knew you wouldn't have forgotten, but I called you to see if you had suddenly forgotten."
I laughed loudly. "Alex, when have you ever known me to forget when the first day of camp is?"
He was silent. "Never."
We talked for a little bit as I picked out my clothes. We had to be to the church by nine twenty so we could get to camp by ten.
"Okay, my mom is dropping me off at Hunter's house. I'll talk to you later, babe."
"Okey dokie! I love you, Alexander."
"I love you too, Amberlyn."
I smiled as I ended the call. I held the phone close to my heart as it beat out of control in my chest. I loved that boy.

"Amber! Hurry up!" My mother called from downstairs.
"Coming mum!" I quickly finished drying my long brown hair, then putting it in a ponytail. I shoved my glasses up my nose, grabbed my bags and pillow and ran downstairs.
I slipped on some sandals and ran out the door. The warm summer Wisconsin air felt good on my bare arms and legs. I rushed to the van, putting everything in the trunk and running to the passenger side.
Catching my breath, my mum laughed at me. "Hey, that's not funny." I said between breaths.
"Oh, but it is."
I rolled my eyes. "Let's just go? Please?"
"Anxious, are we?" Mum asked, while putting the van in reverse. As soon as we got on the road, a car came out of nowhere and hit the back of our car. Our car was moved to the side, and the impact left the back of the van dented. "Amber?! Are you alright?"
"Yes." I replied, holding my head. "I'm alright."
"You're not bleeding, are you?"
I pulled my hand away from my head, nothing. I then felt a little pain coming from my arm. I looked down at it and there was a cut on my bicep, maybe 2 inches. It didn't hurt that bad, but it was bleeding. "Yes. My arm is a little bit."
We then heard sirens, and saw blue and red flashing lights.
"Oh dear. Um, there should be a napkin in the glove compartment."
While I was searching, someone opened the car door. "Are you ladies alright?"
"Yes, we're okay. My daughter is cut on her arm, though."
I sat up, looking at the officer. "Well, why don't both of you get out of the car, and we'll take care of both of you."
When I stepped out of the van, I saw that the front of the car behind us was smashed. The person who, I guessed was the driver, was sitting on the curb with an officer. An ambulance soon showed up. I was then escorted by the officer to the ambulance to get my arm treated.
I then saw that there were another person sitting on the other side of the road. That's when my heart started racing, and my breathing quickened.
There was no way, it could be him.
"Kallen?!"
