•Kaila's POV•

Kiddie Pool Kickball, as usual, was so much fun. Hunter ended up shoving me into one of the pools as he came up from behind me sliding into the base.

My hair and face were engrossed in dawn dish soap and water. Unfortunately, some of it got in my eye. Once I came up from the water, I started to rub my eye, and repeat the word "ow" over and over.

"Kaila! Oh my gosh, are you okay? I'm so sorry." Hunter panicked.

"Calm down Hunter, I think I'm okay. I just got some soap in my eye."

"Do you need to go to the nurse?" Another voice asked.

I opened my good eye and saw that it was Edge. "Um, I don't know."

I looked at Hunter, who's attention was focused at Edge. "She said she's okay, man. Lay off it."

"Geez, chill dude, I was just trying to help."

"Hunter, it's getting worse. I think I do need to go." I rubbed my eye more and then held my hand to my face.

Then a counselor came up to us. "Woah, what happened?"

"She got some soap in her eye."

"I-I think I might be allergic."

"Oh geez," the counselor panicked also. "Do I need to call the nurse?"

"No, I'll just walk over there."

"I'll grab your towel." Hunter said, running off to find one.

"Do you need help over there?" Edge asked, clearly very concerned.

"I'm fine. Hunter's going with me." I smiled at him. "Thanks for the offer."

"Here," Hunter said when he returned. "I couldn't find yours so this is mine, oh and I grabbed your shoes."

"Thanks, love." I replied, as he wrapped the towel around my shoulders, and setting the shoes on the ground in front of me. We started to walk towards the nurses station. "Thanks for being concerned, Edge. I'm okay now."

He looked sorrowfully at me, giving a small smile. "Sure."

Hunter and I walked off. Why was Edge being so nice now?

"Look here, Mag, our two favorite patients." The head nurse said when we entered the door.

"You have a favorite now, Ms. Joan?" Hunter replied kindly, closing the door behind us. "You do have a lot of them."

"I know," She waved it away. "Just that when you both got healed two years ago it made my heart happy. Plus, I called the relationship, didn't I Mag?"

Mag laughed. "You did indeed. Now enough chit chat, what's wrong honey?"

I took a big breath, as tears began to flow. "I was playing Kiddie Pool, and was pushing into a pool and got some soap in my eye. It stings really bad."

"Can you open it?"

I shook my head.

"Can you remove your hand so I can see if it's swollen?"

I did so. She looked at it, and then continued to go about diagnosing the problem. We ended up leaving fifteen minutes later with an ice pack on my eye and some medication in me.

"Well, that was an adventure." Hunter said, enthusiastically.

"That's for sure." I said, wincing, whilst pressing the cold ice pack closer to my eye.

"Don't press too hard, you don't want to get it stuck to your eyelid." He laughed.

I laughed. "Funny, you're really funny."

"I try to be."

Hunter then got silent for a second. Like maybe he was pondering something.

I looked over at him with my good eye. "What's wrong? You usually aren't one to back down from making fun of me for something." I chuckled.

"It's just. . ." He paused, hesitating, and thinking clearly about his next words. "Who was the guy over there?"

"Who? At Kiddie Pool?" He ever so gently nodded. I scoffed. "He's just someone on my team. I yelled at him for being a hog in hockey. I apologized later, so I guess we're friends now? I really don't know."

"Kaila, please." He rolled his eyes. "You really think he was just being nice to you?"

I took the ice pack away from my eye, scrunching my eyebrows together. "What do you mean?"

"Kaila, I want to bet $100 that he likes you."

My eye widened, and I pressed the ice pack to my other one. "You're kidding, right?" He looked confused. "You're really worried about him, coming between us?" He looked shamefully down at the ground. "Look, sweet, I don't like anyone else, but you. It'll always be you. Remember what you said to me earlier?"

"You'll never lose me. God put you in my life, and that's the only way you're going out." He repeated. "Yeah, I remember."

"Don't forget that, I believe 100% of that, so you should too." I smiled, widely.

His face heated up, and he bashfully smiled. "Love you, Kai."

"Love you too."
