The final football game had come and went. The opposing team was worthy opponents. It was the best football game in Samuel Hogan High School history. The football game was so exciting, and the crowd went wild. It seemed as though
Ty's football team was going to lose.  And in the final quarter, the punter for Ty's football team ( Gregory " Greg" Thompson) scored a field goal.  It gave them a three-point lead, and the buzzer went off. They were undefeated in their region.
Coach Davis was so happy.  He felt incredibly blessed; it was his first year as the head coach.
He coached Samuel Hogan High School to victory.
They celebrated in the gymnasium by dancing and eating.

Later on that evening, Cinda said,
"Can you believe that tenth grade is already over?

" No, It zoomed by. But I'm glad it's over because I get to spend time with my baby."

As he said those words, he leaned down and kissed her like it was their last kiss.
And it made Cinda look up at him.

" What is it, baby? She asked him in an apprehensive tone.

" Nothing, I just love you, that's all."

Ty practically moved in with Cinda. He sleeps on the air mattress, but occasionally he sleeps in the bed with her if he passes out before he can get up to sleep on the air mattress.

" Are you sure? You never kissed me like that before. It felt like you were saying goodbye.

Ty couldn't look at Cinda in the face because she knew him so well.

" Baby, I'll tell you later-"

Cinda softly touched his face, and gently turned it to face her, and said, "Baby, you're scaring me; what is it?

"  I have to go away for a little while-

"Go away? Where are you going? She stated as her eyes were starting to tear up.

" Baby, I won't be gone long. I'm going to a football camp for the summer.
This camp is going to get me NFL ready."

" Tyrone Malik Davis, why would you take so long to spring this on me? Where is this football camp?" She asked them in a shaky tone.

" In Baltimore Maryland. They have great coaches there, and my dad knows the director very well. Before you ask me if you can go, the answer no. I wouldn't be able to focus with you being there. If you had family there, that would be another thing."

With those words, Cinda started to cry uncontrollably. He wrapped her in his arms and just let her cry. He cried silently as well.

He finally spoke and said, " If I didn't think this would help my football career, I wouldn't go. Baby, this is the hardest decision I've had to make in my young life. I told my pops no several times. But in the end, I realized that I need to do this. It ties in with my NFL dream.
Baby, I need you to be on board with this; it would crush me if I knew when I left, you weren't on board with my decision."

She looked up at him and said, " Ty, I'm on your team one hundred percent. I'm your number one fan, and to ride or die. I want you to excel in everything you do. I support you. In a way, your dreams and goals have become mines too. I'm on board, baby; I will just miss you like crazy."

Ty thought to himself, how did he get such a fantastic partner and person.
" I love you, Lucinda Davis." He declared in a touching tone.

" I love you too. When are you leaving?"

" Less than a month?"

" Less than a month? Please tell me my ears are playing tricks on me."

" Baby, I'm leaving in a little over three weeks; let's not fight or argue. Let's have the best time ever and just enjoy ourselves ."

" Ok, can you stay here with me every night until you leave?"

" I thought that we were practically roommates already?"

" We are, but sometimes you spend a few nights at home."

" You have my word. I will stay here with you every night. Except for a couple of nights at my place. Can we go to sleep, baby? That game wore me out." She nodded her yes.

" But you might as well put the air mattress in the closet?"

" Are you sure, Cinda?"

" Yes, I trust you with my life." Besides, it's only for tonight. We will take it back out tomorrow ."

And with those words, he went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Dried off, put on a sweatsuit,
got in the bed, and found Cinda dressed in
her pajamas knocked out sleep. He gave her a light kiss on the lips and drifted off to dreamland.

The following day they got up and planned what they were going to do over the next twenty-five days.
Lucinda mentioned going to the new water park, and Ty was excited to go. In the weeks to come, they went to the movies, the water park,
go fishing, get on the local ferry. When Ty had twenty days left, he planned a surprise date.
He took Cinda to a cabin-style restaurant.
It was so beautiful, and Cinda couldn't believe her eyes. It was like a still-life painting had come to life. The scenery just blew her away. The vibrant colors that surrounded the huge cabin were rich and bold. When they entered the restaurant, it was like stepping into a time capsule. It was like there were the stars in a black and movie( Cinda was very knowledgeable of the black and white classic films)
The waitress was so polite and so beautiful; she resembled
Dorthy Davenport ( a well-known actress in that era). She escorted them to their seats and handed them menus.
Next, she asked them if they wanted something to drink.
They asked for two glasses of water and two strawberry lemonades.

" Ty, this is so amazing. How did you find this place?" She asked, beaming from ear to ear.

" I found it online. I liked the old-school vibe of it. I knew you would like." He stated with a smile.

Lucinda ordered two baked lemon pepper Tilapia fillets, asparagus, and loaded mashed potatoes.
Ty ordered a rack of ribs with the house's special barbecue rub, corn on the cob, and macaroni and cheese.

The food was delicious. It was so filling that they didn't have room for dessert. Ty gave a generous tip, and they left. On their way out, they were informed by the restaurant hostess that they had a lovely path outback that led to a quiet area for stargazing.
The couple walked down the lit-up path
hand in hand to stargaze.

As Cinda looked up at the stars; she spoke to Ty with tears in her eyes and said, "
Baby, I've had a magical and wonderful evening. You have outdone yourself, and you spoil me way too much."

" Baby, you deserve the world. And I plan on giving you the world for the rest of my life." He stated with all the love he possessed.

" I love you, Ty. And I don't want this night to end."

She looked at him and wrapped her arms around, and kissed him like it was their first kiss, times ten.

" WoW! I'm not leaving yet, baby. You are stuck with me for twenty more days."
