Prom Day

Lucinda's POV

Today is my senior prom. I get to go to my prom with my best friend/boyfriend/fiancé
Tyrone Malik Davis. Although me and Ty young, we love each other very much.
I can't wait to go to the prom with him.
Not to mention spend the rest of my life with him. He's texting me now; I picked up my cell phone, and I started grinning from ear to ear cause it said,
Ty: Hey baby, are you ready to get to dance on?"
Me: Hey baby, I can't wait to get my dance on with you. The question is, are you ready to get yo dance on?"

Ty: Of course I am girl. I can't to spend time with my girl.

Me: Ok, let me finish getting ready, baby; I love you.

Ty: I love you too; I'll see you in a little bit.

Ty's POV

We are almost finished with high school. And we are getting ready to start our new life. I can't wait to make her Cinda my wife.
Prom is just the dress rehearsal for our wedding day. We can't afford a big wedding,
so we're just going to the court building and say I do. We'll have a big wedding later.
I know she's going to look beautiful in her prom dress and I can't wait to see her.

As Lucinda looked at herself in the mirror for one last time, her moma called her from downstairs," Cinda Ty's down here waiting on you. The limousine is here too. Are you ready, baby?
Come down here so I can take a picture of you and Ty."
" Ok, moma, I'm on my way. I just have to grab my purse and put on my shoes.

Ty was standing at the bottom of the stairs as Cinda was descending. He saw her, and he was in awe of her beauty. She looked amazing from head to toe. She wore light make-up; she wore her hair down in a beautiful style. Her hair went past her shoulders. She wore Burgundy and Black accessories to match her stunning dress. Their prom colors were burgundy and black.
She wore a burgundy mermaid dress with a black lace halter top, but she made alterations and added long sleeves, A bateau court train that flowed out. And black pumps. And a small burgundy purse. And a lovely black dress jacket.
Ty could barely speak, so he stammered the words as he said,
" Cin....da yo...u look beau....ti full."
" Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself."
She thought to herself, "OMG, this boy looks
good. He got a fresh hair cut, a fade, and a line
up. He wore a 1- Burgundy -button peak lapel, Tuxedo Jacket slim fit, with a satin vest. A black bowtie. With black Pants, slim fit.
And some burgundy Stacy Adams shoes.

Mrs. Jenkins came into the living with her video recorder. She cried happy tears. She was a proud moma.
" Moma, don't cry; why are you crying?" She said in a concerned tone.
" I'm ok, baby; these are happy tears. I am so proud of the young lady you have become. If you daddy could see you now. I know he would be proud too. You look, beautiful baby girl."
She looked at Ty and said, y'all both look good." She turned on her video recorder and started recording the happy couple. When she finished, they hugged her said goodbye.

Cinda walked outside and gasped when she saw the black limo. Inside it was filled with all kinds of all  alcoholic beverages. It had water, soda and various juices too. They both grabbed a water because they didn't drink alcohol. They arrived at their prom twenty minutes later. As they walked in the facility, they stopped to take their prom pictures. The ballroom was lit up. They noticed some of their friends on the dance floor. Some went stag because they felt they didn't need a prom date to have a good time.

Lucinda and Ty danced, are and mingled with friends and had a great time. The prom King and Queen was awarded to their close friends
Shanice and Christopher. Aka Necie and Chris.
" Necie, I knew you and Chris were going be crowned prom Queen and King. Y'all are the most popular kids in our school. Girl you are wearing that dress by the way." Cinda stated in a playful yet serious tone.
" Thank you girl friend; you look nice too. What are you and Ty doing after this? Me and Chris are going to go get a room."
" Are you ready for that? Just be careful girl. Me and Ty are going home; its near midnight."
She hugged her friend and said bye. Then she was off to find her handsome boyfriend.
She found him talking to Chris.
" Excuse me, hey Chris." He greeting her back and went to go find his girl.
" Hey baby, are you ready to go?" Ty asked in a loving tone.
" Yes baby, I'm tired."
" I'm ready to go to. Let's go.
When they got outside, they saw their limo driver and looked different. But they couldn't
figure out why he looked different.
" Are you ok, Sir? Do when need to call a Uber? Ty asked in a concerned tone.
" You don't have to call an Uber. I'm just a bit tired, that's all; I've been working long hours. I need the money because a got a little one on the way. But I assure that you I'm fine." He stated in an assuring tone.

As they were on their way home, the limo driver dozed off at the steering wheel and  bang! Because he didn't stop for the red light.  The Ambulance made it there fast.
