(Earth: Unknown Location)

Within the catacombs of this ancient castle you see above, a young man with unusual pink skin, wearing nothing but a pair of black pants starred at himself in a mirror, as a woman with a spider themed outfit watched from behind.

(???)"...Arachne, let me ask you a question. What does it mean to live? By that, I mean what is the purpose of existing in this world?"

(Arachne)"Simple, Fen. The reason of life is to get what you desire. Be it money, power, lovers, whatever you strive for, that is why you live."

(Fen)"But to get what you want, you must fight tooth and nail for it."

(Arachne)"Yes, that is correct."

(Fen)"And if you were to fail in your quest, then fear would take over your body, making you feel as though you shouldn't try again. So in that case, the only way to conquer fear, is to achieve your goals without failure. Does that sound right, Arachne?"

(Fen)"What I fear? I would say that the Shinigami, Death, worries me to some extent. He is undoubtedly the strongest person in this world, I'm not sure if I could stand against his power for ten minutes in my current state."

(Arachne)"Nonsense! You've achieved abilities on such a level Medusa could only dream of having at your finger tips. Even in this state, you could conquer a majority of the world by yourself!"

(Fen)"I guess you're right. I did conquer you, didn't I?"

(Fen)"But it doesn't matter, it is almost time for my plan to go into effect. And once it does, I, Fen, will have nothing left to fear! When I become the second Kishin, the new Demon God!!"

As he turned around, his body morphed into a demonic-looking entity like melted wax. His most notably feature was his left hand.

(Fen)"Even now, my magic techniques could wipe out entire cities if I felt like it! But with the power of the Demon God, this entire world shall be under my thumb, not even Death will stand a chance! And...."

His back distorted as a creature of black liquid broke through the skin and took on a muscular build.

(Fen)"With one of the Demon Swords, I'm virtually invincible! The Shinigami won't even know what hit him when I'm done, kehahaha!!"

Under the demonic moon's light, a creature with long blades cornered a defenseless Human woman, and with a single strike, he cut her down like butter. And as her blood poured out from the gaping wound on her abdomen, a little blue orb emerged, her very soul had left its body

The creature grabbed the soul in it's metallic hands and consumed it, gaining a little more strength than before. Why? Because he is one of hundreds of corrupted individuals who's goal is to become a Kishin themselves, based on the legend years ago.

The beast known as "Jack" turned his head and found a young boy and girl, who gave of an abnormal aura.

(Girl)"Your soul is mine!"

Jack cackled like the madman he is and lunged towards the blonde-haired girl, who caught the scythe in midair, then easily sliced him in two. Jack's body unraveled like black ribbon and formed into a crimson soul, a "Kishin Egg" as some call it. The scythe boy turned back to normal, took the egg and swallowed it whole.

(Girl)"Hey Soul, I've always wondered, what exactly do souls taste like?"

(Soul)"Nothing, really. But they got a weird, satisfying feeling when they go down!"

(Girl)"Huh. Well anyway, this makes 99 souls now! We gotta tell Lord Death about this!"

The two kids wandered around until they found a big enough mirror, and once they did, the girl fogged up a portion and wrote down the numbers "42-42-564" on it. The reflection morphed into a blue sky and two men. One had red hair and black clothes, and the other...was none other then the Shinigami himself, the most powerful being in the world, Death.

(Death)"Yo, Maka-Chan! How're you doing, things going well?"

(Maka)"Yes, we just collected out 99th soul! Now all that's left is to get a Witch's soul."

(Death)"Oh-ho, great work, Maka! I'd say your talent as a Meister rivals that of your own mother!"

(Maka)"R-Really? Well, I'm not THAT great..."

(Red-haired Man)"Soul Eater!"

(Soul)"Whaddya want?!"

This man's name is Spirit Albarn, but ever since he became the weapon of Death himself, he's known by many in this current era as "Death Scythe". He is also the father of Maka, who hates him and his antics with a burning passion. Even mentioning his name makes her turn her head with great distaste.

(Spirit)"If I even see you glance at Maka the wrong way, I'll kick your ass, you got that?!"

(Soul)"Shut up! There's no way a guy like me would be interested in someone with small tits like her!"

Maka was greatly offended by this, but wasn't at all anticipating what came next. Spirit stuck his head out the mirror and said something that would most likely make Chris Hansen show up and tell you to sit down so he can ask you a few questions.

(Spirit)"Small?! Have you even felt them before?!"

(Soul)"Wha-What the hell?! Why would you even say that?!?"

(Maka)"Hmph! You're a horrible father! Saying things like that about your daughter..."

Saddened by her words, Spirit put his head back and sulked in the corner.

(Death)"Uh...anyway, I should warn you two. A Witch's power is unlike any other you've faced this far, they'll kill you without a second thought if you're not careful. So be on your guard when that time comes, I hate to see young Weapons and Meisters lose their lives in battle."

(Maka)"Don't worry, I'll make my own Death Scythe in no time!"

As the mirror returned to normal, the Death God noticed Spirit holding a doll made to look exactly like his daughter.

(Spirit)"Maka... Papa's just trying his best..."

(Death)"Oh get over it! Don't make me Shinigami Chop you again!"
