(This chapter takes place sometime after Baku's loss with Black☆Star. Also, a follower by the name of NeoOverhaul was generous enough to help a bro out and gave me two redesigns for our Demon duo. Big shoutout to him, these are better than everything I drew combined! They're not in the Soul Eater style, but they were too good not to show off.)

Baku: A "Demon Weapon" created by a blacksmith in the Oozai Realm, forged from negative energy itself and given mind. Before meeting Fen, he spent his life as a weapon for many Kings throughout centuries, killing each one when they could no longer handle his power.

Eternal: An unusually high-spirited Demon from an unknown world. No matter what he faced, no matter how injured he was afterwards, he would never die. At some point three centuries ago, he and another Immortal attacked the Witch Order, resulting in the Witch Queen, Maba, losing one of her eyes. They were both locked away, but Eternal tormented the Witches with hundreds of escape attempts, and after several failed executions, they sealed him within a magic block of ice, until Honaat freed him on behalf of Fen.

This Weapon and Meister duo was created for the purpose of fighting against the new enemies Fen has made in the hopes of capturing the Kishin, but they must first prove they can work together as a team. And to do that, Fen has instructed them to seek out a Witch, any Witch, and bring her soul to him. The first order of business was to find one, and the two Demons had a lead on such a person.

Somewhere, hidden away in the city, a banquet is being held for a family, a family led by none other than the crime boss himself, Al Capone.

For many years, this individual built a criminal empire off of smuggling alcohol, selling drugs, prostitution rings, just about every criminal act one can imagine, and because of this, he has been on the Shinigami's list for quite a while. But little did he know, there was another group looking in his direction.

Al Capone: Heh! Just imagine the power we'd have, with a soul like theirs! We'd kill any who insult us, you know?

The other members of his family, each one identical, agreed with their boss's statement.

One entered the room with exciting news.

Gangster: Boss, we found it! We found where the green Witch lives!

Al Capone: Perfect! With her power on our side, no other family will stand a chance out here, you know?

???: Oh, I know!

Al Capone: Eh? Who said that?

Suddenly, a tall, dark, horned figure fell from the ceiling, landing in the middle of the table.

Al Capone: The hell are you?!

Eternal: That ain't really your problem, just now we're your boss now!

The men didn't get what he was going off about, but chose to pay it no mind. The quickly drew their pistols and tommy guns, pumping lead through Eternal's body like swiss chees. Then, with little effort, the holes suddenly faded.

Gangster: H-He's alive?!

Eternal: Ok, looks like y'all need some more "persuasion", let's show'em, Baku!

To their shock, the smoke coming from Al's cigar began floating around his neck, suddenly turning into a dark hand, chocking Capone. Now standing over the crime boss,desperate for air, was a shorter, one eyed creature.

Baku: We are servants of Fen, and you'll be wise to listen to his demands.

Al Capone: W-Who...

Baku: Just shut up and listen. All Fen desires is simple, retrieve the Witch's soul you just located, and bring it back to us, Fen is willing to give you something of equal value for the trouble, if you can actually get it yourselves.

Eternal: It's a win-win situation if ya ask me!

Baku: That's all you have to do, is that clear?

Al Capone: Y...Y....ye-*gasp*

Baku removed his grip, letting Al breath once more.

Baku: You will go to the Witch tomorrow morning then, as soon as you're awake. And don't try and weasel your way out of this, we're just part of Fen's overwhelming force.

Al Capone: But, who the hell is this Fen guy anyway!?

Baku: You don't need to know. Just get it done.

Eternal: See ya!

With that, the two Demons walked out, and some time later were in the middle of a large wooded area, sitting around a small campfire.

Eternal: Can you believe how easy that was? Getting this soul's gonna be easier than pulling teeth!

The red eyed cyclops took a long draw from his pipe, exhaling a large smoke cloud straight up.

Baku: You know those fools will die, not even three hundred men stand much chance against a single Witch.

Eternal: Yeah, but it sure beats the hell outta having to go on a goose chase or something! Maybe we'll even get a decent fight!

Baku: Possibly, Witches tend to recruit unique characters for their protection, I too enjoy a good challenge.

Suddenly, a familiar voice spoke in the heads of both Demons.

Fen: Baku, Eternal, what progress have you made?

Eternal: Hey, Boss! We got a lead, gonna go take that soul first thing tomorrow!

Baku: We found a mafia group on her trail, she goes by Angela Leon.

Fen: Yes, I have heard of this one. Just know that she's not your primary concern, our informants say that a powerful warrior acts as her bodyguard of sorts, a Human known as Mifune.

Eternal: Any Human is the same to me, I doubt he could beat Honaat!

Fen: Don't be so stupid, Eternal! Mifune isn't like normal Humans! Like your partner, Baku, he possesses a Strong Soul.

Baku: A Strong Soul? Then the Capone Family won't last long.

Fen: Mifune will not be an easy victory, even for an Immortal, I expect both of you to show me your real power, otherwise, you won't be given another chance. Is that clear?

Eternal: Don't worry about it! The two us will be unstoppable!

Baku: We haven't exactly worked together until this job.

Eternal: Trust me, I got a gut feeling everything is gonna work out, and I'm only like...60 percent wrong half the time!

Baku: ...

(The next day.)

Meanwhile, the duo were quickly approaching this destination, held up due to Eternal. He was eating a double cheeseburger with a large soda.

Baku: You really needed to stop and get food on the way...? Are you even taking this seriously?

Eternal: Hey! That was only place that sold burgers in the morning in town, you think I was gonna pass that up?! No way!

Baku: If we were there sooner, we could have at least assisted that gang or something, but no! You had to stand in that massive line for fourty goddamn minutes!

Eternal: You're just mad that I didn't get you nothing!

Baku: T-Ugh! Whatever, I can can see the place, we're finally here.

They approached a large, seemingly abandoned castle, which had a giant chameleon head on the wall.

They noticed that yellow caution tape was wrapped around the area like a crime scene, which, in a way it was. The entire Capone Family, even the man himself, they were all dead, slain with deep cuts, or simple impalement, and dozens of Kishin Eggs littered the area.

Eternal: Damn, guess this is the handy work of Mifune! Guess that strong soul shit wasn't a li-

Out of nowhere, Eternal's cup fell to pieces.

Eternal: Eh? Who the-

Baku: Above you, moron!

The cyclops shielded his Meister from an incoming sword slash, morphing his arms into large blades of his own. The man before them looked young, save for his gray hair, and wielded a katana.

???: It has been such a noisy day, now this...

Eternal: So you're the big bad Mifune, eh? You really cleaned house with these guys, guess bringing guns to a sword fight doesn't always go the way you'd think after all!

Eternal's mouth opened extremely wide, wide enough for an entire skull, and ate the remaining half of his burger in one bite.

Mifune: You two Demons are after the Witch living here, aren't you?

Baku: Correct, and yours as well. Don't expect us to fall like these wannabes, like you, my soul is the equivalent to 99 Human souls.

Jumping in the air, Baku transformed into a massive blade, falling to the hand of Eternal.

Mifune: A Weapon and Meister, never thought Demons could be like that. Either way, you're dead...

Eternal: I'd love to see ya try, little samurai!

Using the blade's length, the Demon knocked the katana from Mifune's hands, only for the Human to leap towards a nearby pillar, grab an identical sword and swung downward, cutting into Eternal's right shoulder. He jumped back, bleeding a thick, black liquid. The Human advanced, grabbing another blade stuck in the ground, just barely stopped by the shield like great sword. The immortal man looked around, and noticed katanas everywhere, in the walls, the pillars, still in the dead bodies.

Baku: I know this style of combat, be on guard, Eternal! He can attack with multiple swords at once!

Mifune: Your Weapon is unlike any other, a normal blade would be destroyed by that just now.

Eternal: Alright, let's use our new strategy!

Baku: Right, Copy Technique!

In a puff of smoke, a duplicate of Baku appeared. It rushed Mifune with its bladed arm, but suddenly exploded into an even larger smoke cloud. The samurai looked all over, waiting for the slightest bit of movement. Finally, he turned backwards, cutting straight through a humanoid figure. It split in two, falling to the ground.

Mifune: There's one do-

Baku: Duplicate Detonation!

What he thought was a lifeless body suddenly became an explosion, sending the Human flying into the wall.

Eternal: Got ya this time!

The immortal Demon went to finish him off, but Mifune quickly recovered, grabbed two swords from the wall and swung. In a comedic manner, Eternal's arms were severed, leaving his head open to plant itself deep within stone and sharp metal.

Mifune: *Sigh* What kind of warrior was that?

Baku: Eternal, you dumbass! Stop fooling around and pull yourself together!

Mifune: What the-

To Mifune's surprise, Eternal used his feet to pull his face out the wall, snapping both horns in the process. He then walked over to his arms, and small white vein-like tendrils from his stumps reach out and reattached the lost limbs. Finally, with steam raising off his body, Eternal's wounds faded away.

Mifune: You must be from the Immortal Clan, never thought I'd be facing one this reckless.

Eternal: Who're you calling reckless??

Mifune: All you do is run and swing that oversized blade like a madman. The only reason you've done any damage is because of your partner, he's the real warrior in this!

Eternal: Well fuck you to!

Baku: Hey! Listen, we have one last trick that'll beat this guy! I'm going to partially fuse with your body, it'll enhance your skill with the blade.

Eternal: You can do that? Well, alright then.

Baku: Don't think of any-Wait, I forgot, he doesn't think. Just let me take the wheel!

Mifune: What are you two talking about? Are you ready to finish this fight?

The Demon stood there a moment, the red X on his face shifting and changing, until it was another eye. Along with this slight chant, his demeanor changed on a dime, talking like the Cyclops.

Eternal: Yes, now we'll have a proper duel... your soul will be ours!!

Eternal pushed his blade into the ground, leaping into the air, somersaulting three times and delivering a mighty blow, cutting halfway through the solit stone where Mifune was just standing. Without wasting any time, he rushed towards the fleeing samurai, swinging the massive sword effortlessly. Mifune blocked using both katanas, but they were shattered almost immediately upon impact. He jumped back, grabbing a new sword, just barely avoiding Eternal's sword swings around the battlefield.

Mifune: He's gotten better somehow! What kind of Demons are they??

Eternal: Finishing Technique: Qeth Kren Lon!

The red eye on Eternal's sword lit up, the weapon melted down and entered his mouth. He ran with inhuman speed, overwhelming the sword fighter with his fist alone. Even when they split in half, the punches kept coming, forcing Mifune into a curled position on the ground, battered and bloody.

Eternal: Say goodbye!

???: STOP!!!

Before the final blow, a small, frightened young girl with gren clothes suddenly rushed in and stood in front of the wounded Human.

It was the Witch they were after, Angela Leon.

Angela: Please stop hurting Mifune!

Eternal: What? Are you serious?

Angela:Mifune protects me because I'm still learning about magic, so leave him alone you bully!!

Eternal: I appreciate the enthusiasm, but there's not much you do-whoah!

Without noticing, the young Witch swung the shattered remains of a katana into Eternal's ankel, and like a vase filled with water, Baku fell out from his body, who soon returned to his original form. The cyclops was furious, walking straight towards Angela whilst his left hand transformed into a large gun barrel.

Baku: I've had enough of these damn games, you little brat!

The Witch hid behind Mifune, who was now propping himself up with a sword.

Mifune: If you want my soul, you can have it! But if you still intend to kill Angela too, I swear on my sword you'll regret it!

Baku: Oh, like you can talk all big! It's time to die, you-

Fen: Stop!!

Baku: Huh?! Fen? What's going on?

Mifune: Who's he talking to?

Fen: That fight was enough to impress me, you no longer have to kill them, leave them be for now. They might prove useful in our future endeavors.

Baku: I-....Ok, I understand. Eternal! We're done here, let's return to the base.

Eternal: Eh, already? Bur what about the-

Baku: Fen stated we no longer require a Witch's soul, we have proved ourselves useful. We're going!

The Demon's leg healed, and the two began to leave.

Baku: Consider yourselves lucky, Fen doesn't always leave people like you alive unless it's important. Don't expect this to be our last meeting.

And with that, the duo were gone.

(Fen's Hideout)

Fen sat in dark room, quietly reading a book written in an unknown language, snickering to himself occasionally.

Fen: Things will be going smoother now, the Kishin will soon be in my control...

Ragnarak: What makes you say that? All they did was beat up some kid with knives! I can do the same thing, but quicker!

Fen: Eternal is an idiot, but Baku can make up for that using with wit in battle. Keep in mind just how long he's been alive, all the wars he fought in. And by using an immortal body, they should have no issue leading the mission.

Ragnarak: But why are you even doing it like that?! You could go revive that old shitbag Kishin yourself, and absorb him at the same time, doesn't that make more sense then maybe letting him escape??

Fen: You need to think more about the future than the present, Ragnarak. Things do not always go as planned, a great number of unexpectable events could happen on that night. To be honest, letting the Kishin escape could prove even better for us, let him gain his full strength, and catch him off guard at the last minute.

Ragnarak: I guess that'll help make us stronger, but it's just so bullshit we gotta wait so long! I wanna go crazy on someone already, it's so damn maddening!!

Fen: Patience, Ragnarak. The best things come to those who simply wait for them, and I have learned to be a very, very patient man...
