The Yandere Serial Killer Case Part 4

"Okay, listen up." You commanded from the passenger seat. The teenagers perked up as Hisoka and Chrollo continued doing whatever they were doing.

They already knew the drill.

"We've researched the enemy." You informed them, "Never go into a fight blind if you can help it. That'll get you killed. The witch's name is Mephitis. Apparently, she's a complete night owl and sleeps during the day. We'll use that to our advantage and attack while they're not expecting it. Even if they are expecting us, it shouldn't necessarily be a problem. Our target is Mei and her boyfriend. Make sure they're captured alive, especially the boy."

"But isn't she on Death's list for serial killings?" Maka asked.

"Yes, but the police will want to interrogate her at least once before they call for an execution." You replied, "Now onto Mephitis. Her power allows her to release a gas that not only has a pungent smell, like a skunk, but it acts a poison, killing you from the inside out if breathed in. However, she is known to release it as a last resort because she's that confident in her fighting skills. If we run into her, our best bet would be to go for the kill. Don't play around with her."

"Might as well kill the subordinates too, right?" Hisoka asked. You knew he was asking for permission in his own way.

"Death isn't fond of witches, so knock yourselves out. It'll be legal." You replied.

Hisoka was most definitely pleased with your answer. His body practically shook from pure excitement and anticipation. He had to bite his lip to suppress a moan.

He was trying to behave.

Meanwhile, Maka and the others were starting to get a mysterious vibe from your team. They could tell you were not like other meisters and weapons in the traditional sense. There was something that made you different.

Perhaps it was how nonchalant you were about killing. They definitely knew Hisoka was a special type of special. Anyone could see that he takes some pleasure in that.

How on Earth were you partnered with him?

The one thing that was abundantly clear about you and your team -- you were not people to mess with.

The feeling of piercing the flesh and puncturing the heart was all too familiar with you at this point. Once you saw the life in the subordinates eyes fade, you removed Illumi from his body.

Illumi was your weapon currently. His weapon form was a rapier sword. It was skinny, but that didn't make him any less deadly.

You stayed still as half of Illumi's human form came out of the sword. He reached his arms out and grabbed the recently released soul. "Can you clean me, (Y/N)? I don't want his blood to stain me." He said, not wasting a second afterwards and opening his mouth wide enough to shove the circular soul into his mouth.

You sighed yet you weren't surprised. Illumi didn't have a problem killing -- apparently, he's been doing it since he could walk -- but he was particular about not being dirty. You pulled a handkerchief out of your back pocket. Illumi went back to being in full weapon form. You then cleaned the blood off of him with the handkerchief before putting it back in your back pocket.

Definitely had to wash these pants when you got home.

"Thanks, (Y/N)." Illumi said in his usual monotone voice.

Fortunately for you, you did manage to catch the enemy off guard. Only Mephitis was asleep, but it would seem that they still did not expect to be attacked.

That was not good tactical strategizing.

Soul, Tsubaki, Liz, and Patty quickly transformed as you stormed the place. You instructed them to stick together as a team. As mentioned, you were using Illumi as a weapon which meant Chrollo and Hisoka were on their own.

Not that you were worried.

Chrollo was supposed to be finding Mei and her boyfriend anyway.

And even now -- even though you couldn't see him -- you could hear Hisoka. You knew he was thoroughly enjoying himself.

Everyone on your side, except Chrollo, was downstairs in the two story mansion-like house. Numerous henchmen were dead, as indicated by the souls that kept popping up. It felt like forever of back and forth with the underlings under you heard a feminine voice call out.

"What's this?"

A cloud of dust was in the way, but you knew exactly where she was. Once it cleared, you were looking up at the second floor and saw a pale skinned woman with large black eyes like Illumi. Her black and white long hair was slicked back with an unholy amount of grease. She wore an all black, sleeveless, skin tight dress. She wasn't blessed with a chest, but you could tell from her confident aura that she didn't care one bit.

Props to her for being comfortable in her own skin.

Also, did she sleep in that dress? Or did she really take the time to get up and change before coming into battle?

"Little pests have entered my home and assaulted my staff." Mephitis said, looking down at you all with a glare. "To what do I owe the displeasure?"

"We're here for the girl and boy you gave shelter to." You announced, "Are you going to stop us or stand down and hand her over?"

"You ask that as if you haven't already slaughtered my people!"

"We asked nicely." You said innocently, getting under her skin.

"GET OUT!" She yelled, a vein popping out of her forehead. "ALL OF YOU GET OUT! DON'T LET THEM COME ANY FURTHER!"

If you wanted a chance of everyone getting out without lethal damage, especially the students, you would need to kill Mephitis to prevent her from using her power.

"Illumi." You called in a low voice, your grip on him tightened.

"I know." He replied, knowing what was going through your mind. You were his meister and partner, a comrade even if he may not admit it, and he knew how to read you.

As is the same for Hisoka and Chrollo.

Ignoring the subordinates that were coming toward you, you swiftly dodged them and jumped -- putting a lot of energy into your feet for a higher jump.

You could tell that Mephitis didn't expect this at all. "Why you-" She growled, reaching her hand behind her. You, on the other hand, concentrated on your point of attack. Not wanting to waste time trying to plunge the blade through her heart, you decided to go for the head.

When you were within range, you swung your arm and aimed for her neck. Mephitis, however, blocked your attack by a hair with a dagger. If you could push a little further, you could chop her head off.

You did smirk though because she was struggling to defend against you. The tiny dagger she had was no match for Illumi -- the shaking of her hand and the dagger as she tried to counter the force you were applying was evident.

While you may have the advantage in this brief standstill, you couldn't keep this up forever. Your feet were on the railing of the second floor, which meant that she could have you falling to your doom with enough force.

You saw her smirk and at the same time you felt a presence behind you. Not good. If you took your eyes off her, she could easily kill you. But ignoring an obvious attack from behind will also kill you.

Illumi felt it too. You were cornered if you didn't make a good decision and fast.

You could have Illumi transform back into a human and take out Mephitis while you disposed of the sudden attacker.

Yeah, that sounded like a good plan.

Illumi opened his mouth to speak, only to be interrupted. "Illu-" You were also about to say something when you heard your name being called.

"(Y/N)!" That was Chrollo's voice!

Not taking your eyes off your opponent, you heard bones being broken and a pained groan before the threatening presence behind you disappeared. Mephitis's facial expression turned into a shocked one. Her eyes drifted toward Chrollo, which gave you the opportunity you needed.

You easily knocked the dagger out of her hand and in one swift cut, you beheaded the witch.

Your legs thanked you for finally being finished with that fight as you hopped off the railing and onto the second floor. You sighed in relief that the witch was dead and allowed Illumi to feast on her soul. While he was doing that, you turned to face Chrollo.

He had one person slung over his shoulder and another dangling in his arm. Both seemed to be unconscious. "I found them, (Y/N)." He said even though you could already see that.

"Thanks, Chrollo." You smiled softly, "For finding them and for the save."

"Anything for you." He replied, matching your smile.

"When you two are done," Illumi spoke up, now in human form. "we've got work to do."
