Derek wanted to scream. He never thought he'd be questioning his life choices after meeting Scott and Stiles. Yet here he was, standing in an empty room watching his daughter pick out paint. "Clarity" He dragged out in a long groan. "You said you'd help" Clarity pouted, a paintbrush with a pastel blue on the tip. "Just pick a colour and it will be finished before you come back from school" Derek reminded her before Milah walked in behind him.

"Come on kid, before you become an alpha and make it everybody's problem" Milah smiled knowing how picky the girl was. Clarity shrugged before handing Derek the paintbrush. "I liked the dark purple" She smiled before running to Milah.

"New Orleans isn't that far, remember that" Derek reminded himself before going to close the other paint cans. "I HEARD THAT!" Clarity shouted back from downstairs.

Reni hit her head against the kitchen table. Why did Scott make her do this? "Not only is my son a werewolf but now my daughter is a mix between a witch and a werewolf and bonded to Derek Hale's daughter?" Melissa recapped while Scott did his best at being his sister's moral support. "Mom, it's okay. She's home now and unharmed" He added to the fire. "Only because of some freaky soul thingy" Melissa shot back at her son.

Reni rolled her eyes as she put on the leather jacket she stole from Clarity. She smiled as she kissed her mother's cheek, stopping her ongoing argument with Scott. "I love you but Boyd is waiting for me and I'm finally going to a normal school after almost a decade" She mentioned, grabbing her school bag.

Scott was a little taken back. "You going to school with Boyd?" He asked. Reni nodded like it was nothing. "We were trapped in a vault together for two months. We bonded over trauma" Reni answered before closing the door behind her. Scott dropped his head, he felt like he was third in her life now since she had Clarity and Boyd.

"She was trapped in a vault?"

Boyd followed Reni to her locker, making sure that she was alright. "Have any nightmares last night?" Boyd asked as Reni opened her locker. Reni only plastered a smile as she shook her head. "I got a good night's sleep. Thank you for the concern B" Reni half lied to her only other friend. The truth was she saw a guy get murdered in her nightmare and a knock-off Voldemort doing it. But she wasn't telling Boyd that.

Reni remembered when she first got taken. Erica was alive and the two protected her while Cora kept to herself. She recalled the first nightmare, how Erica sang her a lullaby to calm her. Then the twins tried to bite her only to cough up black blood afterwards. That's when Erica attacked them, sacrificing her life for Reni and Boyd. She would not let Erica's death be in vain and no amount of freaky nightmares was gonna stop her.

Clarity walked up to Reni after working her magic on the principal to have them both in Junior year. She held the timetables up with a victorious smile on her face. "My dearest Reni, I am a jack of all trades" the wolf boasted handing her one of the copies. Reni's fake smile grew into a huge genuine one as she wrapped her hands around Clarity.

"You are so cool!" Reni squealed before pulling away from her bonded. Clarity only giggled at her, bidding a quick goodbye to Boyd. Clarity looked back at Reni, only to notice two blondes approaching. Clarity quickly wrapped her arm around Reni's waist, a low growl emitting from her throat.

Reni was confused at the action until she saw them. Aiden and Ethan. The twins gave the girl a dark look, relishing the sound of her heart beating faster due to fear. "Well look who it is, the little witch" Aiden taunted with a smirk on his face. Ethan joined in, noticing Clarity's arm. "You need a wolf to protect you, how pathetic".

Clarity growled once more, carefully showing her teeth at the twins. "If you two have any brain cells, you should leave while you're still sane" Clarity warned them without hesitation. The twins only shrugged before walking down the halls towards class. Reni turned into Clarity's chest, hugging her tightly. She tried to hold back the sobs as tears gently rolled down her eyes. Clarity gently sooth her, rubbing her back with circles. "It's okay Ren, I'm not letting them hurt you ever again" Clarity told her, resting her chin on Reni's head.

Milah snickered at Derek as he threw his paint tained clothes into the laundry machine. "She has you wrapped around her finger" She commented at the alpha father. Derek only shook his head at his aunt. "Honestly, she could convince me to burn the world and I'd do it in a heartbeat" He admitted to his indulgence when it came to Clarity. Derek always had a soft spot for the girl that was no doubt in his mind.

Ever since she was brought into his life eight years ago, he had two sides to him. The mean, locked werewolf that helped him survive and the sweet, kind and gentle man that was still there. Milah could see how Clarity kept the boy she knew alive in the alpha.

Milah handed Derek a peice of parchment, the writing unfamilair to him. "What is this?" He asked her, not reading the writing. "A warning. If the alphas get Clarity. There will be a bloodbath" Milah warned him, her hand on his shoulder. Derek looked at Milah, his eyes carrying every thought in his mind. "They won't lay a finger on her" Derek stated before leaving to deal with his sister.

Milah sighed as she felt like she had spoke to a brick wall. "He's not gonna listen darling" Peter told her from the shadows. Milah turned to face him with her arms crossed. "Must be genetic" She smiled at him. Peter's shoulders slumped at her response. "You used to be fun, sweet but you still look sexy" Peter smirked, gently grabbing her hips with the tips of his fingers.

Milah smirked, her head tilted as she leaned towards Peter. As her husband leaned closer, thinking that she was going to kiss him. But the moment his lips ghosted over hers, Milah turned her head to whisper in his ear. "Show me the loving, caring and truthful side of my husband, not the lustful, greedy and cruel one" She reminded him before shoving him away. Peter only sighed, he truly thought that would work.

Reni walked down the school halls looking for Scott. She had this tingling feeling at the back of her neck that grew stronger with every step. "Scott?" Reni called out, not noticing her surroundings. She unconsiously reached out, not registering the sticky feeling on her fingers.

"Reni!"

The girl jumped back, her eyes darting to every direction until they landed on her brother. "Scott" She let out a breath before taking in her surroundings. "Why am I in the forest?" Reni asked him before looking around again.

She took a step back, feeling the vile claw its way up her throat. She looked down to see blood sticking to her fingers. She loked back up at the boy, the same one from her dream. She felt sick as she kept walkinback until she hit something. She felt arms wrap around her waist, soft whispers in her ear.

Scott held his sister back as she sobbed and cried at the sight. A boy had been killed, the recent killer lurching around Beacon Hills had struck once more. Stiles had given Reni towel to clean the drying blood off her fingers, waiting for his dad to show up.

Reni couldn't speak, her mouth had gone dry as Scott held her close, trying to calm her down. "Like the dream... always like the dreams" Reni mumbled between breaths, holding onto Scott's arms. Stiles looked at the girl in shock. "What do you mean Reni" He asked her gently, knowing the girl was in shock. Reni didn't answers, closing her eyes and mumbling something incoherent to even the werewolf holding her.

"Boyd... I need Boyd" Reni stated, turning her head to look at Scott as best she can. Scott was a little jealous of his sister's connection with Derek's beta, he wanted to be the one that his sister wanted not Boyd. He held her close, making sure that she was in a fit state to walk back to the school. Reni held onto Scott like he was her lifeline as she sobbed.

Boyd ran up to the crying teen, holding her gently as he hugged her. "I..I'm sorry I lied to you, I didn't... think it would happen this time" Reni hiccuped at Boyd like a child being caught by their parents for lying. Boyd only sighed softly at the girl, understanding her reasons. Both him and Erica had thought that the Alphas were planting the dreams to torture her until the pack had to knock her out after she woke up screaming, causing the alphas to bleed from their eyes.

Reni wiped her tears, sensing Clarity running up to her with worried eyes. "Ren!" She gasped, pulling her bonded to her side. Clarity could smell the fear and grief on her, making her stomach churn. What happened?

Someone died and I saw it...in my dreams Clar.

Clarity raised her eyebrows, this was new. Milah never mentioned foresight when she explained the powers of a protector. Reni glued herself to Clarity, the smell of coffee and the girl's apple shampoo bringing her a form of comfort. Clarity gently rubbed her nose on the girl's head, making sure she knew that she was there.

Scott, Stiles and Boyd watched carefully how the girls interacted, the mix of wolf traits and human blending together leaving them speechless. "Can you too read each other's minds?" Stiles asks, breaking the quiet bubbled around the younger teens. Reni didn't answer, shying away from her surrogate brother.

"No" Clarity stated, "We can communicate through our bond but only if we want to, we can't read what the other is thinking unless they want us too". Stiles was intrigued by the information. Scott cleared his throat. "Clarity how many classes to you and Reni share?" The young beta asked the Hale. "All but AP calculus, I hate math" She hissed with hatred while lovingly soothing Reni by rubbing her arm up and down. "I have that class, I can keep a watch on her" Boyd perked up, earning a soft smile from Reni.

Scott nodded, trying to ignore the growing jealously in his body. "Make sure the twins don't agitate her. When we were leaving the woods, they seemed unfazed by her reaction. They've already gotten on Issac's nerves, we can't have them mess with Reni" Stiles mentioned, worried about the girl who was like a sister to him. All the werewolves nodded while Reni felt like crying again. She never thought her big brother would go to every stop to make sure she was safe.

She removed herself from Clarity to hug Scott and Stiles, a smile plastered on her face while tears of joy rolled down her face. "I love you guys" Reni told them, the boys wrapping their arms around her. Scott smiled while Stiles grinned like a mad man. "Anything for our little sis" Stiles told her.

Milah walked into the main room of Derek's loft, watching as Cora pushed herself triaining to fight the alpha pack. Derek seemed upset as the girl ignored his pleas to stop. "Derek, leave her be" Milah told the boy, her voice soft and smooth like a melody. The alpha looked at his aunt in shock while his little sister stopped her workout to look at her. "What?" He asked at a loss of words. Milah shrugged at them, walking closer to her niece and nephew.

"If Cora wants to exhaust herself after barely surviving the full moon and the alpha pack, let her. I will not be helping her heal from the wounds of an alpha when she tries to attack" Milah pursed her lips into a thin line. Cora gasped at the protector, standing up from the floor. "Wha—" Cora was cut off by the alarm blaring in her ears.

Derek ran to the buttons to stop the alarm. His heart beating faster than ever. "What does that mean?" Cora asked her brother, smelling his chemo signals that had a mix of worry and anger. Before Derek could answer, a deep growl filled the silence.

Kali stood at the entrance, her shoeless feet making Milah sneer. Derek's eyes glowed red as his claws retracted and hair grew from his cheeks. Milah and Cora followed their alpha's direction as he went to attack Kali. Ennis appeared and lunged at Milah and Cora, flattening the girl to the floor. Milah growled deeper than any alpha before running at Ennis.

She had swiped her claws across his face, leaving scratch's that will never disappear. She had spelled her claws to always scar any werewolf or enemy no matter how fast their healing would be. Ennis did not like it before grabbing the protector by her neck and placing his claws at her throat before turning to Kali, who had thrusted a pipe into Derek's stomach.

"Utter one spell and I kill him" Kali growled before Deucalion's cane echoed the room. Cora knew better not to attack, fearing for her remaining family's lives. Milah, still in Ennis' hold, held her head up with confidence as Deucalion turned to her. "Blind bastard" She spat at him. Ennis' pushing his claws closer to her skin, ready to draw blood. "Barren bitch" Deucalion shot back with less anger and in a more sophisticated tone.

He then walked up to a bleeding Derek, turning to face him. "Now, I believe we haven't met. I'm Deucalion" He smirked at Derek.

Reni walked the empty hall, trying to reach the bathroom without the chances of Ethan or Aiden trying to get under her skin. She had almost made it until she noticed a shadow drawn from behind her. She turned to see one of them standing couple meters behind her, a menacing smirk on his face.

"Gay or straight?" Reni asked, trying to mask her nerves. She was trying to channel her inner Clarity.

"What do you think?" He asked, walking closer to Reni. Ethan, Reni relaxed. Out of all the alpha's Ethan was the more softer one when it came to intimidation. He used mind tricks more than physical ones. "What do you want?" Reni huffed, sick of the secretive nature that they used around her.

Ethan was taken back at the question. Did she not know?. "You and Clarity. I mean you two are a package deal. Most powerful werewolves in the world" Ethan shrugged off, walking around Reni. "I'm not a wolf" Reni told him, reminding him of their failed attempts to turn her. Ethan remembered how the entire pack coughed up black blood for an entire week after their attempts to make Reni a beta and then turn her into an alpha.

"Still, we would never separate soulmates. I mean Ennis and Kali were also a package deal. I'm sure Clarity can move past that you're the reason her father's beta is dead, all relationships hit a wall sometimes" Ethan told her. Reni furrowed her eyebrows. What was he talking about? Clarity is her best friend, not her girlfriend. Clarity didn't like her in that way. "We are not together" Reni clarified, however she couldn't shake the feeling she got as the thought of Clarity as her girlfriend infiltrated her thoughts.

"Well you should tell her that, everyone can already see the way she looks at you. I'd be very careful when you break her heart. I heard that Derek won't be the father you'll need to worry about" Ethan whispered into Reni's ear before walking away from the stunned girl, the school bell ringing.

What was he talking about? Clarity doesn't know her birth family.

Derek hissed in pain as Kai twisted the pipe. "I don't remember if it's five hours or minutes before it's too late. I'd get to the point Deucalion" Kali smirked wickedly down at Derek. "When I had heard that Derek Hale had acquired a daughter, well I was shocked. But learning that her mother was none other than the alpha of one of the original eight werewolf bloodlines, that caught my attention" Deucalion began, digging under Derek's skin as he glared at the blind man envisioning ripping his head from his body.

Milah wanted to fight but she knew that if Ennis killed her, Reni would be paying the price. "Don't worry, the information has not traveled past the wolves of our bloodline. Unlike the other seven, we have never mixed with each other" Deucalion reassured the father, whom didn't truly believe him. But if he was lying, why hadn't Clarity's mother or brother contacted him yet? Deucalion bent down to Derek's level, his glasses reflected the anger wolf.

"Do you know the story of how we came to be Derek?" Deucalion asked him, only a growl in response. "An ancient Native American witch who craved only power had cursed eight members of seven tribes as they killed her, their fear of her insatiable need for power worrying them greatly. However as she cursed them, including her own mother, the witch spared her little sister who tried to stopped them but obviously failed. So instead of turning into an actual wolf we turn into a mix of both human and wolf. We can bite others to create a pack while the other seven packs need to procreate to have one. Not to mention we don't need to take a life to become a wolf just like how the little sister refused to kill her beloved older sister" Deucalion recalled the true history of the creation of werewolves.

Derek still glared at him, wondering what his point was. Cora looked to her aunt who gave then girl a stern look not to attack, yet. "It would seem that Clarity's mother had united the seven packs after her birth. Not to mention that Clarity is descended from the witch and her sister. Rumours have it in the witch community that Clarity represents the sisters as she can turn into both a wolf and the mix" Deucalion finally made his point.

He wanted Clarity in his pack as she was one of the most powerful werewolves on Earth. But why did he kidnap Scott's kid sister? To encourage her to kill him and join them? It didn't make sense why he would take a protector in training? "Now I want the young girl in my pack, but I also want you and the human she has bonded to. You have until the next full moon to make your decision, or I will do what you fear most" Deucalion hissed at Derek before Kali finally removed the pipe, freeing Derek from it's hold.

Milah was dropped onto the floor as Deucalion came closer. He looked down at the protector, "You and I both know the pair is worth more" and he left the loft with Ennis and Kali. Milah looked at Derek with fear. It was too late, Clarity's secret was no longer bits and pieces to the alphas. They knew the whole story and if they can find it, what stops them from finding it.

Reni had explained to Boyd and Scott that Ethan tried to get into her head. She had left out the parts with Clarity, that was something that she would take to her grave if she had to. Scott was furious at the alpha. How dare he target his sister, his little sister who meant the entire galaxy to him. First Isaac, then Lydia but Reni was crossing the very obvious line.

Boyd seemed more calm. He knew what really happened and helped Reni with her survivor's guilt before they escaped. But he also knew that even though she puts up a hard exterior to others, Reni was very empathetic and sometimes her emotions can cloud her judgement.

"We need a way to get them back" Scott suggested, his mind trying to come up with smart and legal way to do so. Reni also rattled her brain before her eyes wondered to the motorbikes asked right outside the window next to her. A mischievous smile that would make Stiles proud curled it's way onto her innocent looking face. "I have a plan" She eyed the boys before getting out her phone and texting Isaac and Allison.

Clarity handed Reni a wrench as she looked out for any teachers or snitches while her bonded messed with the bike that belonged to Aiden, the straight twin. Clarity had to admit she was loving Reni's dark side, the way her mind was capable of conjuring this evil yet ingenious plan had invaded her mind. Could this girl get more perfect?

Clarity felt her cheeks warm as she let her thoughts go wild. Stop thinking that, even if Reni was the most beautiful, smart, kind and loyal person ever, she would never go for someone like Clarity. Hell, Reni didn't even know what type of wolf she was or that she knew who her family were.

"All done" Reni smiled, holding a big chunk of the bike's motor in her hand. Clarity put it into her large messenger bag. "I'll get this to Scott" She told Reni as she helped her up from the tarmac. Reni thanked her, grabbing Clarity's jacket and zipping it up to hide the oil stains.

Clarity loved how her clothes made Reni even more irresistible. They way her scent was all over Reni drove her wild, wanting her to just grab her and kiss her against a wall. Clarity wanted nothing more than to make Reni her's in a more intimate way but she knew that her wish was only a dream that would never come true.

Reni calmly walked into English with Clarity, smirks on their faces as they past the twins. The pair watched carefully as Scott handed Aiden the motor, his fake innocence masking his pride in Reni's plan. Just before Aiden could retaliate, the sound of an engine caught everyone's attention. Aiden had shot up, recognising the sound as his bike. While Ms Blake shouted at him to return back to his seat, everyone crowded outside the classroom.

Isaac and Allison had joined the trio, watching as Aiden check his bike after Isaac drove it into the school. Ms Blake look enraged, believing that Aiden had driven the bike in the building. "This will be punished as a suspension" She told the boy, ready to drag his ass to the principal's office. Before the teen could be taken, he looked to the group snickering at him. His eyes focused on Scott as he mutter something.

"Never go after my sister again" Scott warned him, knowing that both twins could hear him.

Clarity linked her arm with Reni's, laughing at their success. "Gods I love you" Clarity smiled as Aiden protested against Ms Blake. Reni felt her heart stop at the words, catching her off guard. Did she really say that? Was it platonically or romantically? Did Clarity actually like Reni that way or was it just a misunderstanding?

But the real question lingered on her mind. If Ethan was telling her the truth, which she highly doubted. What was Clarity hiding?
