" Observe then infer" these words got etched in Arthit's mind since P'Mook had spoken them.

Don't they say a person is shaped by their experiences. What experiences did Kong have to be stone cold to everything around him? To made him act like a computer program.

Arthit felt a good way to start understanding Kong was to think over what he knows already about his roomate. So he made a list of things he know about his roommate.

Kongpob
- only language he speaks is sarcasm
- is rude as hell (in normal person's perspective)
- has tongue sharper than a knife
- is a business administration student
- sleeps in department of physics
- knows coding
- helps people ( according to P'Mook)
- wakes up early
- want a lover like binary star
- never backs off from challenges(😁🤣🌶️)

After reading his list Arthit realised that only personal thing he knew about Kongpob is that Kong thinks binary stars are soulmates!

" Observe Kong mission officially starts from today, Su Su na Arthit " Arthit encouraged himself.

Arthit stuck himself to Kongpob for a whole week, trying to go everywhere Kong goes, even following him to Physics department to sleep.

It has been a week but Arthit's mission wasn't much successful.

He had suffered thrice being target of professor Suda's flying marker in class......Well, front row students aren't allowed the luxury of sleeping peacefully in lectures. In Arthit's defence he was awake two consecutive nights....and lost Kongpob halfway both times. Atleast Arthit knows Kong leaves campus by 6AM and returns at 9Am.

Third day was wasted since Arthit had shitload of assignments with extra hours of Sotus. Seniors were not being too kind to him since they heard about his drinking episode. Apparently heartbreak isn't big enough reason to skip Sotus!

By the way returning to the mission. On the fourth day Arthit followed Kongpob to a really posh household where Kong stayed for exact one hour then he followed Kong to another bungalow, same thing happened Kong returned after an hour. This time Arthit was almost discovered by Kongpob.

" I have even turned in to creepy ass stalker. The thinks I do for you Kongpob!!!" Arthit exclaimed heaving sigh after seeing Kong walk in opposite direction.

Arthit even befriended business students to gather info about Kongpob. No one knew a damn thing !

By the end of the week all Arthit got was Kong gives private coaching to kids of wealthy households.
Kong's birthday was in next week.
He is an economics graduate and half of economics department was victim to Kong's razor tongue. Other half was grateful for his helping hand in passing curriculum.

Arthit couldn't find a single friend in the place Kongpob studied for two years. May be Kong says truth when he says he has no friends.

Good thing was they were amenable now. Kong even had dinner with Arthit two days last week. Arthit was now a permanent night resident in physics department with Kong.

Once again they were in physics department. Kong was helping P'dean in astrophysics lab, actually it was a distraction. Arthit and rest of the seniors were gathered in material science's classroom waiting for the clock to reach 12.

Kong was surprised seeing Arthit holding a birthday cake in pitch dark of a classroom. He got startled next second when lights were suddenly switched on to reveal all research seniors gathered around them.
Next One hour was spent in all of them singing happy bday to Kong, eating cake and goofing around.

After that everyone claimed their own corners to sleep away rest of the night. Arthit followed Kong to the rooftop. Both of them were laying side by side in perfect silence.

" Happy birthday Kong"

" Thank you ..." Kong replied keeping his eyes trained on night sky.

Arthit turned towards Kong and laid on his side " So what are you giving me as your birthday gift? "

Kong turned his head in surprise
" Isn't that supposed to be other way round? It's my birthday why would I give you a gift?"

Arthit scoffed
" Of course I deserve a gift for putting up with your sarcastic a...self since day one. I have even decided what I want ' spend whole day with me ' tomorrow. "

" Don't want to " Kong turned his head to look at sky.

Arthit smiled ' Time to pull out secret weapon'.
" Do you want me to tell your secret of tree-passing to the security guard"

" Are you blackmailing me?" Kong glared

" Ofcourse I am. "

Though using the tree to climb in to room doesn't look serious, it poses threat to dormatory and thus to students should anti social entities use this information. So Kong knowing about it and not telling authority won't fall in his favour.

Shoulders slumping ,Kong grunted " Fine ."

" Sorry... Did you say something?" Arthit grinned.

" Fine, I will spend the day with you." Kong spat in annoyance.

" You don't have other option Kongpob"

" What do you want to do today? Arthit asked Kong .

" Get rid of you"

" Not possible, come on I have an idea. "

Arthit dragged him to hair salon.Kong was ready to run but Arthit made him forcibly sit in chair to get his hair done.

" You need a haircut,your hairs keep getting in your eyes. You already have spects, at this rate you will soon turn blind." Arthit chastised seeing Kong throwing a tantrum .

Kong looked like in physical pain when his hair were being cut. He refused to speak to Arthit.

" What are you pouting for? See how handsome you look now?" Arthit make him stand infront of mirror.

Kong may have liked his haircut because he finally smiled.

Arthit paid the stylist. " Today, everything is on me, you just don't dare to bail out on me or you know ...." Arthit mock threatened him .

As soon as they came out of saloon Arthit combed his fingers through Kong's hairs destroying his hairstyle and brought all swept back bangs in front so that to cover Kong's forehead.

Kong threw a questioning gaze at Arthit's weird action.

" You aren't allowed to look more handsome than me " Arthit shrugged all haughty.

They just wandered in city visiting random places since Kong denied to go for a movie.

" Now say cheese " Arthit demanded making a really weird face. Kong refused to do such silly things at first but eventually he fell in to Arthit's charm. They clicked most weird photos they could.

They had a good laugh while carding through all the silly pictures they clicked.

Arthit smiled seeing Kong tearing from laughing too much. He felt a little content seeing Kong emote like a normal human being for once.

Their next stop was restaurant. They sat in a comparitavely isolated corner happily chit chatting and enjoying their meal.

Arthit was surprised to find that Kong couldn't handle spicy food. Is he the same man who ate loads of chilly pickle in one go?

When dessert arrived Arthit offered Kong a spoonful of his dessert only to quickly eat it himself as soon as Kong leaned in.

kong smiled at Arthit's childish antics.

Arthit once again scooped spoonful of dessert and held it towards Kong.
Kong shook his head.

" Say aaah..." Arthit tried to coax him in to eating.
Kong refused to be fooled once again.

" This time I won't eat it promise." Arthit vowed.

Kong leaned in to eat from Arthit's hand ,all the while keeping his eyes trained on the male to avoid being tricked again. He held Arthit's wrist and quickly devoured the offered sweet before Arthit could withdraw his hand.

" Eat your own dessert. Mine is too good to share" Arthit sulked after failing at tricking Kongpob.

They killed some more time wandering around the city before turning in the direction of University.

Kong was tired from their day-long excursion, all he wanted now was to claim the bed as soon as he can.

As they reached University, it started drizzling. Kong was eyeing for a place to take shelter in, should rain start pouring. He felt himself tugged in direction of football ground where few engineering boys were playing.

When Kong tried to refuse,Arthit glared at him. Though Kong wasn't scared he just gave in, Arthit was too charged up today to accept defeat.

After few minutes in game Kong started to enjoy playing after so many years . Drizzle turned in to heavy rainpour. All of them were soaked from head to toe, still they kept playing, forgetting all worries about tomorrow.

Somehow in the middle of the game Bright managed to make Prem fall on his butt who later bathed Bright in mud. Soon Football was forgotten. All of them started trying to make other fall on their butt in muddy ground. After playing in the rain to their heart's content, group returned to hostel.

" I call dibs to shower first" Arthit yelled running in at full speed as soon as he turned the door knob of their room.

" No ways" Kong was hot on his tail.
Somehow both entered the bathroom before other one could lock door on them.

Standing under the jet of water Arthit and Kong gave each other dead stare for couple of seconds before bursting out laughing next second.

(At night)

" Arthit..."

" Hmm..." Arthit was playing game on his mobile.

" Thank you. I had fun today."

" Isn't that a given. You were with 'The Arthit Rojanapat' afterall."

" Such a humble creature you are." Kong remarked smiling.
