Do you know the feeling when you don't quite know how to swim, but you feel like you've seen enough people swimming in your lifetime that now you're well-educated on the art of staying afloat; hence as everyone around you is enjoying themselves your mind goes "oh, I could do that" and you dive right in, only to discover the pool is deeper than it looks and waving your arms and legs wildly doesn't constitute swimming?
