Our client is a jerk
Lucy's POV
As I arrived at the house, I felt a pair of eyes watching us. I looked around but saw nothing. Weird...
"Lillia-sama... Are you okay?" Sophia asked me.
"Yes, I'm fine, what about you, ready to go on your first job?" I replied, with just the tiniest hint of a smile on my lips. And my eyes turn a light shade of orange. (aka when she feels playful and slightly happy.)
"Yes, I'm sure it would go very well considering that I'm going with Lillia-sama. Not as boring as Suzaki and not as annoying as Sophie." She replied as I knocked on the door. My eyes have turned back into grey(aka neutral and the color her eyes normally are) A man in his late thirties, early forties answered the the door. He had wild brown eyes and messy black . He seems to be in his pyjamas and it seems like he has a hangover. Overall, very messy.
"Who are you?" He asked, yup, he's definitely hungover
"We are the mages from Fairy Tail. We took the job to protect you," I replied.
"Took you long enough," he muttered. How rude!
"I'll go get changed and take a shower," he mumbled as he wobbled his way towards his bathroom. I sigh under my breath.he comes out of the shower in a black T-shirt and blue sweatpants. Still not the best attire but good enough I suppose.
"May you tell us who is going after you exactly?" I ask, slightly irritated.
"I don't know, I just think that it would be boring to go on my own," he replied lazily.
"If that's the case, why don't you just call some close friends to go with you?" Sophia asked.
"Well I don't have any friends, Nobody wanted to come in contact with me once..." His voice faded off as he sighed.
"May we have your name?" Sophia asked.
"You can call me Samuel," he replied.
"It's 'bout time that we left," he said as he got up and walked to the door. We began making our way towards the train station.
Third person's POV
The first attack happened in the streets. People wearing black came into their sight and charged at them. Lucy sighed and punched one of them, she teleported to each one of them and knocked them out. She grabbed one of them and slapped them awake.
".Who sent you?" she asked. But once the person woke up, they died. Literally. Apparently someone cast a suicide spell on them so when they were caught, they would die immediately. Lucy cursed under her breath and burned the bodies.
"I think it would be safer if we take the train from now on, there are a lot of people so if they try something they would be discovered," Sophia suggested.
"Yes, let's take the train," Lucy said.
On the way to the train station, neither of them noticed a tiny flashing red dot on Lucy's shoe. If they had noticed, however, they could have avoided the events that were to follow.
Lucy's POV
No matter how hard I try, I can't shake the feeling that we're being watched. But when I try to sense their magic power, I get nothing. Now that I think about it, I couldn't detect the magic power of the assassins that we fought earlier. Well maybe they were non-magic users. We arrived at the train station without running into any trouble. We bought the tickets and walked to the train. As we wove our way through the busy crowds, we bumped into two people. One of them had long white hair and enchanting purple eyes.(pic above) And the other, with the same white hair and purple eyes,(pic below)((A/N bonus chapter if anyone figured out where they are from.))
"Sorry," I muttered as I continued walking. Not looking back. We walked into our train and stayed in the compartment we chose. The two people we bumped into strode into our compartment unexpectedly.I nearly knocked the girl out before she screamed. I stopped, seeing that they meant no harm, my fist just two inches from her face.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, glaring slightly.
"W-we just want to share with you, the rest are all full..." The girl stuttered. Sophia went to check the different compartments to find that they are in fact, all full.
"Fine, but don't try anything fishy." I sighed. I made Sophia sit with them on the opposite side of the compartment while I sat with Samuel.
"So, where are you going?" the girl asked, trying to start a conversation.
"None of your business," I replied. I noticed that the man is keeping to himself. They both have some weird thing on their forehead. The girl has a flame and the guy has a sideways yellow eye... Suddenly, the guy stood up.
"I'll be excusing myself to go to the restroom," he said as he began walking away.
"No, Demetrius, don't just leave me here alone!," the girl whined. Demetrius ignored her and continued walking away. (Demetrius is not his characters actual name. So don't try searching it up!)
"Humph, that guy, always leaving me behind like this," she muttered.
"Oh well, I suppose I only need to do this myself..." She muttered as her hair turned pure black and she began her attack.
