Rather than composed, your feet won't stop jittering. For the longest time, you've disregarded the ear-piercing ringtone that's coming from your phone. So you put it on silent mode.

Jimin maneuvers the car towards the opposite direction, stopping under a red light. He takes his time pondering how to slice the silence in half, tapping on the wheel delicately with a lean finger. You're pretty much occupied with the view. But every now and then, your phone lights up and reveals a caller.

"Listen. I know it isn't my place to pry, but care to explain why you're ditching the guy?"

"Im not exactly ditching him. Im just going home early. That's all."

"Right. So if I end up on the street beaten up badly, you wouldn't mind me pinning the blame on you right?"

Your shoulders tense as you glance at him. He reads your expression and chuckles softly. "Relax. I'm just messing with you. There's no way on earth I'd let that Jungkook beat me up."

"It's not funny."

"And yet here we are." He adds on. "You got me involved and you know I'm not one to back down from a fight."

You can't help but think if this was a good idea. Why did you have to bring Jimin into your little problem?

You're taking the long, scary route.

However, out of all people, you're relieved it's Jimin.

It doesn't take long before you reach the airport. Fragrance diffusers that had been strategically placed across the airport interiors attacks your lungs the second you step foot inside.

Jimin doesn't leave your side and he gestures you towards the check in counter. Luckily, you were able to book a flight online while you were on your way here.

After going through the proper procedures, you both stride to the waiting area to wait for your flight back to Busan.

There isn't a lot of passengers present at the moment.

"Are you hungry? We can grab something to eat while we wait. I'll be right back." He leaves before you can say anything else. In his once occupied seat, Jimin left behind a black carrying case. It's one of those cases that requires a code in order to open it.

If there's a lock on that, then there's got to be something precious inside.

Curiosity bubbles your veins but you know better than to let your gaze linger on the item. Knowing what he does behind closed doors and all.

So you lean back and take your phone, immediately feeling your spirit escape your body upon seeing the multiple missed calls. There's a bunch of messages too. And the latest one manages to bring chills down your spine.

You've got a lot of explaining to do. Just you wait.

Was this a good idea? You tell yourself it is. God knows how long he planned to keep you here. You blank out for a moment, staring into space.

Tomorrow's problem shouldn't be today's problem. You'll deal with it one at a time. So in the meantime, embrace what's happening and allow your worries to fade away.

I mean. This is what you wanted. Coming to Jeju was never in your plan. You were forced. And now you're just going back home. Where you should have been from the start.

"I hope you like shwarma. I got you one without cheese because I remember you don't like them." It's Jimin's voice that snaps you back to reality. "Here. Have a bite. They're really good."

"Thanks." Since everything happened so fast, Jimin agreed to lend you some money for the ticket. You promise to pay him back as soon as you acquire the money.

He watches you take a bite. "Well? What do you think?"

"It's delicious."

"I know right? I remember constantly coming to Jeju for this. I mean. I still do now. But not as often." He checks the time. " We have thirty minutes left before boarding. That shwarma won't finish itself if you keep staring at it like that you know." He tilts his head to the side as if to get a better view of your features. "Penny for your thoughts?"

"I was just thinking that you probably have a lot of questions right now. But yeah. Thanks for not asking. And also. For these." You indicate his helping hand. You wouldn't be able to go back home if it weren't for him.

A frisky smile plays a role on his lips, causing his eyes to slightly shape a crescent. His finger pokes one side of your cheek, causing you to look at him, perplexed.

"Has anyone every told you, you have cheeks shaped like muffins?"

"You're the first I guess..?"

"I've always been fond of people with cheeks like yours." His gaze slowly moves from your eyes to your cheeks. "Do you mind if I bite them?"

"What?"

"You know. Bite them. Just for a second." Now he's showing you two innocent big eyes. "I won't use my teeth. I just wanna know how they feel."

"They feel rough. So no. You are not doing that."

Chuckling, he gently hits you on the arm with his fist to lighten up the mood after seeing you tense. "I'm just messing with you."

"Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 69J to Busan. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes time. Thank you."

A Week Later

"N-now hold on-wait!" You jump off the elevator and run for your dear life. It has been a week since you escaped Jeju and it hasn't been easy. Jungkook swore to fill your life with suspense ever since.

Five days ago, you survived his full on scheme to kidnap you and lock you away. Yesterday, he wasn't too merciful. The guy stole your phone and replaced it with a new one that's probably bugged. Which could explain how he easily found you today.

"I just want to talk!"

"Grab the nearest person beside you and talk to them instead!" Somehow you ended up in a children's play area and crawled you're way into those complicated maze.

Stupid balls.

There's crumbs all over the place too.

"Are you serious?" He makes a full stop before quickly entering the opening. You come across a bunch of kids and try your best not to kick or push them in the process. Luckily, the maze's big enough to fit your structure.

"Ah!" You panic when you see him hot in your tail. You can already see the vein visible on the side of his neck. Toddlers stop to stare with their curious big eyes.

"Stop running already!"

"Stop chasing after me!" You shout back.

"Y/n!"

A sigh of relief leaves you when you make it to the end of the maze. Without wasting anymore time, you pick up your pace and run once more.

Just when you thought you'd make it out of there without being caught, two men in black suits appear out of nowhere to block your path, making you collide into them.

You land on the ground with a painful grunt, looking at who you crossed paths with.

Before you can wrap your mind around the situation, you're pulled up by the arm with Jungkook now standing protectively in front of you.

"What are you two doing here?" He seems to recognize them. They glance at each other before one of them decides to speak up. "We're just following boss' orders."

He grinds his jaw in annoyance. "Did he tell you to keep an eye on me?"

"We're actually here for the girl."

A lump forms in your throat causing you to swallow thickly. Jungkook straightens his shoulders, growing his height as if to cover you. "Girl?" He scoffs. "What girl? You're just wasting your time here. Now if you don't have anything else to say, get out of my face."

He forcefully grabs your arm and pulls you towards the opposite direction.

"Stop looking back." He hisses at you.

"Your men?"

"You don't need to know."

You bit the bottom of your lips, wincing when his grip on your arm tightens. "What do they want from me though?"

"Nothing. They want nothing from you."

"You sure about that?"

"Do you want me to bring you back there?" He raises an eyebrow. "Because I swear to god I will do just that."

You push away from him with an eye roll. "You're getting all worked up for no reason."

"No reason? You made me fucking chase you. What do you mean no reason?"

"And I'm standing here now aren't I? So what was it you wanted to talk about anyways ?" There's no point trying to run away now.

"What exactly is your relationship with that Jimin guy uh?"

"You've been chasing me for days only to ask that stupid question? You could've just texted me you know."

"I did but you never text back. Even tried calling you but do you answer? Of course not."

"Well.. that still doesn't give you the right to take my phone away."

"I got you a new one."

"Yeah, you did but did you have to put a tracking chip in it? What? You think I wouldn't know? I'm not dumb okay?"

"Stop changing the topic."

"Okay fine. There's nothing going on between us. We're not even friends friends. More like acquaintance." You explain.

"You need to stay away from him. He's dangerous." You give him a thumbs up with a tight grin and he sighs.

"I'm serious, Y/n. You have no idea what that guy's capable of."

You nod your head again, barely showing that you care. But that's until you feel something cold touch your arm and hear a click in the air.

"What the-?" He just handcuffed your left wrist. The latter casually shrugs his shoulders, taking your hand and shoves it into the pocket of his jacket. "There. Now no one can tell."

"What the hell is wrong with you?" You try to yank your hand away but he firmly tangles his fingers around yours, preventing any movements. "Jungkook."

He suddenly hovers over your ear and whispers. "I didn't want to tell you this but you leave me no choice. Someone's been following you."

"Those guys from earlier?"

He shakes his head.

"What do they want?"

"You tell me." He trails off. "Now if you don't want to be killed, I suggest you stop resisting and stay with me."

"It's not like I have a choice anyway." You glare at the cuff that links you to him. "You can let go of me now. You're making my hand sweat."

"Do I make you nervous?"

"Not really." Jungkook loosens his fingers but doesn't let go completely. He then brings the both of you to a clothing shop while still keeping an eye on the surroundings.

"You know I can handle myself right? I don't need you acting like a bodyguard."

He rolls his eyes. "Now really isn't the time to be making jokes, Y/n. Someone's literally following you and we have no idea what their intentions are."

"Probably to kill me?" You shrug your shoulders. "I don't know."

"Shut up."

"I mean come on. Unless they're some kind of stalker, I can't come up with anything other reasons than that." You turn to see his features contoured in annoyance. "You're quiet because it's true. And in case you haven't noticed, I'm not that oblivious."
